BRS Cannon FinishedSo while I wait for ppl to get back to me I'll do some BRS stuff. Today I started with UVing and then just said what the heck lets just finish it. So did the UV's then baked AO. Then did a exploded view of the model and baked a normal map using Maya's transfer maps. The result was ok but I had some problems with the arms. Sp I put it in mudbox and subdivided it to get a high rez version and baked a normal map out of there and combined the two normal maps. Once I have a normal map and AO I can then use Ndo2 by Quixel to generate Detail AO and a specular map. I then take all these textures and put them into Ddo which is probably the most powerful grunge filtering plugin ever made for 3d models. It takes data from all these maps and makes really nice stuff. For mmd I'm only using a diffuse for the weapon. But you can see in the preview window how it could look on the xbox or something.
