What Are Furries? What are furries? What Are Furries?2 years ago in Stories & Vignettes More Like This
What does it mean to be a furry?
Why are people furry?
What does "furry" mean?
Do you remember being a kid? A young one? If you were an average kid, puppies and kittens were cute, you spoke before thinking, you liked to play around, and everything soft was amazing. Admit it, you had a teddy bear and/or a blanket that you loved. Why? Because, the comfort of softness and all things cuddly was a wonder and, well, a comfort. What if you never had to let that enchanting comfort go?
So, furries are practicers of bestiality and zoofilia, right?
Wrong. Furries are not too different from you. Let me tell you something that may surprise you: FURRY IS NOT SOLELY A SEXUAL FETISH. Wait, but what about all the porn? Yes, some people do have a furry fetish, but not all furries are like this. And even those with the fetish aren't zoofiliacs. If they were, then why do they "HUMANIZE" the animals? Something to think on.
Ok, if it isn't a se

Yesterday somebody on Facebook showed me an extremely well referenced piece of satire that conclusively demonstrated that feminism fights for gender equality on both fronts.
He was right.
For men, the rise of feminism has elevated us from second-class status. Equality and fairness have become part of our everyday lives. In the following argument, I won’t simply assume that certain things are the way they are because of feminism. I will actually demonstrate how feminism was the causal factor that influenced the situation.
Because of feminism, you will never see men who were sexually assaulted by women outright dismissed as objects of a joke in a satirical newspaper article. Long gone are those days! Everybody knows now that men get raped by women, to

"Mom, why did we leave?" I asked as I flicked my dark brown brown appendage. The blonde woman hadn't told me anything, but just drug me off. I was starting to get worried. I wasn't used to questioning her, but what else could I do? It had been a few weeks since we left home, and she said that we would already be home by now. She had lied, and I should have seen it.
"We'll head back soon, David. Right now we need some mother-son bonding time away from the rest of the family." She said without looking back. She flicked one of her darker colored ears as she looked from right to left. The neko blood in her wasn't as strong as it was in me. My mother only had ears, but didn't have a tail like I did. Like most nekos did actually.
"I'm not stupid." I objected, and rooted my feet to the sidewalk. It was dark out, and the city we were in wasn't known for it's helpful civilians.
"I know." Her voice was soft, but stern. "I never said that you were."
"You are acting like it though."
"No I'm not."

The hiss of rainfall on the streets of Fillydelphia was muffled, if insubstantially, by the walls of the crumbling structure Moxi sat in. She watched the city around her, careful not to overlook anything, alleys, doorways, any place where their enemies could hide from her eyes.
"By the night," she muttered to herself, wiping her rain spattered glasses with the end of her dangling patchwork scarf, "how did I get myself into this mess?" She turned back to face the sleeping figure behind her, Dreamcatcher's slumbering breaths came ragged and pained, and it was no surprise, with the blood soaked bandages wrapped around his body. The alicorn had been careful, his blade had bit into Dreamcatcher's flesh at exactly the right points to do the most surface damage, Catcher was only lucky to have been able to escape before any life threatening wounds could be inflicted.
Moxi felt her eyes begin to mist over with tears, and dabbed at them with her scarf as well before turning to regard

He eventually woke up enough to realize that the lights were dimmed down low; Jay must have gotten up already. Had he overslept? What time was it? The doors of the jazz club finally opened and people began filing in and out. Andrew and Rabeka looked at each other in delight as the line moved slowly but surely into the club.
Andrew could smell the sweet aroma of food, especially meat. He hadn't had any adequate nutrition earlier in the day. He desperately needed to get some meat into his system, or he'd grow too hungry to bare it.
The inside of the club was a dark smoky atmosphere, yet it still had that 'cool' factor that Andrew loved.
Rabeka was impressed, it was not at all what she thought it would be. She linked arms with Andrew as they walked through he doors, making Andrew blush.
An attractive waitress walked up to both of them. She gave Andrew a flirtatious look, but Rabeka didn't seen to care. Hi, welcome to Smoke, would you like the bar or a booth?
Bar. Booth. They both said at the same time. They took a long glance at each other, bursting into laughter.

It was midnight. The city nightlife was loud, but Spark still felt alone. It was troubling. Vic was gone. Yes, he'd already conceded that he might be late in coming home, but Vic never stayed out this late. At least, not before. And if he was going to be out this long, he certainly would've warned Spark beforehand. Right..?
Yet this was apparently not the case. Spark reassured himself that nothing was wrong. Vic was out on a date with his girlfriend of two years. Her name was Kayla. She was also a wolf, covered in a fetching coat of reddish-brown fur. Her eyes were a dazzling shade of green, and her smile was perfect. Kayla truly was an outstandingly beautiful girl. Vic was lucky to be with her. He was probably having some kind of special moment with her.
Suddenly, however, the door to the apartment was flung open. Vic stormed in, mixed expressions of anger, fear, and confusion across his face. Spar

Kingdom Hearts AnalysisIf you've played video games at any point in your life, you've most likely heard of the Kingdom Hearts series at some point or another. Perhaps you've played it yourself. The widely popular action RPG title with a young protagonist and a large metal key. The most noticeable "theme" with this game seems to be the one that involves light versus darkness, ex. good versus evil.Kingdom Hearts Analysis5 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
However, did you ever think that with such an "epic" theme, the creators could possibly have had, say, deeper intentions for the game? Possibly something a beyond what lies on the surface, something beyond the seemingly overly-cliched plot of a young "chosen one" going around the world (or worlds, in this case) to "save the world" along with the blatantly too-shallow-to-be-metaphorical plotline?
Some would certainly think so.
For starters, one of the most noticeable aspects about Sora's appearance is that he consistently wields a large key. But why a key? Some wield guns, other wield swords, some even wield a

At the beginning of the game, we notice Samus is dropped off alone on an alien world to fend for herself. She is the only human for miles around in an area grossly inhabited by many forms of vicious foreign life. However, despite this absence of life, most prominently human, we still manage to catch glimpses of various statues and ruins of old temples that litter the godforsaken rock of a planet. Often accompanying these ruins and statues are ancient depictions of some sort of religious context on the w

1. CAP THAT If there's one sure-fire way to make a point stronger, it's typing in ALL CAPS. Considering that there are many instances when sound can't travel over the net, one must find the next best available way to be heard. This "next best" way is through "shouting," which just happens to be done online through typing in CAPS. Just like screaming, shouting, and general tantrum-throwing in real life, this method is a highly efficient method of making sure that your point gets across and makes you seem ten thousand times more valid and understandable. Additionally, it makes your argument come on more forcefully and shows the opposition you mean "serious fucking shit" with your side of things.

Sonic the Hedgehog AnalysisIf there is one figure that constantly rivals the gaming world's Mario, it's Sonic.Sonic the Hedgehog Analysis5 years ago in Editorial More Like This
He's been running around for more than a few years and it's a wonder he hasn't aged at all. But surely a series as long-running as Sonic is bound to have a few dark secrets of its own, something that makes it more than a game or two where you pick up chao and run around in circles saving baby animals.
Many of you will noticed Sonic has not aged over the past 15 years. This is a representation of eternal youth and his constant running from place to place symbolizes the desire to never grow up and remain forever young. It also represents youth's irresponsibility and inability of the young to make lasting commitments. Likewise, Sonic's eternally smiling face and cocky attitude symbolize the overall cockiness of youth and the firm belief that he will never have to face the world of growing up or taking responsibility.
Sonic can also be seen to double as a metaphor for the elusiveness of the natural world.

To be sure, it's one of the most popular and beloved children's books to date and is still widely read in many households with young people. This popularity has led to many speculations about the book's nature. Some say there's a deeper meaning that belies the playful adventures of a young boy in a wolf suit. Others say it's nothing more than an entertaining and fanciful tale for youth. However, why would an adult write something as seemingly nonsensical as this? Very rarely is it for "entertainment's sake." Why a wolf suit? Why monsters? Why an island?WheretheWildThingsAre Analysis5 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
