Metroid AnalysisThere are many science fiction games that lurk within the gaming world today. But there will always be one that will have a special place in our hearts. Metroid has sold millions of copies worldwide and made bestselling lists time and again. Yet as popular as these games are, there are still many mysteries and unsolved theories and questions revolving around the series. However, there has been speculation as to the symbolism and depth that lays the groundwork and very basis of the game.Metroid Analysis6 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
At the beginning of the game, we notice Samus is dropped off alone on an alien world to fend for herself. She is the only human for miles around in an area grossly inhabited by many forms of vicious foreign life. However, despite this absence of life, most prominently human, we still manage to catch glimpses of various statues and ruins of old temples that litter the godforsaken rock of a planet. Often accompanying these ruins and statues are ancient depictions of some sort of religious context on the w
WheretheWildThingsAre AnalysisMany of you may be familiar with the tale of Where the wild Things Are. You probably read it at some point during your childhood or you most likely saw the 2009 film. To be sure, it's one of the most popular and beloved children's books to date and is still widely read in many households with young people. This popularity has led to many speculations about the book's nature. Some say there's a deeper meaning that belies the playful adventures of a young boy in a wolf suit. Others say it's nothing more than an entertaining and fanciful tale for youth. However, why would an adult write something as seemingly nonsensical as this? Very rarely is it for "entertainment's sake." Why a wolf suit? Why monsters? Why an island?WheretheWildThingsAre Analysis6 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This

Inside there were several folding chairs facing each other in a small circle in a brightly lit windowless room. It looked like the typical group therapy room. Except for the fact that the occupants appeared anything but ordinary.
"Well, it's about time you showed up, Walteeer," came a sly voice from the chair closest to the man in the trench coat. "We were wondering when you'd get here."
Walter Kovacs a.k.a Rorschach glared down angrily through his mask as the man with scraggly green hair and eyes blackened with charcoal gr

He's been running around for more than a few years and it's a wonder he hasn't aged at all. But surely a series as long-running as Sonic is bound to have a few dark secrets of its own, something that makes it more than a game or two where you pick up chao and run around in circles saving baby animals.
Many of you will noticed Sonic has not aged over the past 15 years. This is a representation of eternal youth and his constant running from place to place symbolizes the desire to never grow up and remain forever young. It also represents youth's irresponsibility and inability of the young to make lasting commitments. Likewise, Sonic's eternally smiling face and cocky attitude symbolize the overall cockiness of youth and the firm belief that he will never have to face the world of growing up or taking responsibility.
Sonic can also be seen to double as a metaphor for the elusiveness of the natural world.

Yesterday somebody on Facebook showed me an extremely well referenced piece of satire that conclusively demonstrated that feminism fights for gender equality on both fronts.
He was right.
For men, the rise of feminism has elevated us from second-class status. Equality and fairness have become part of our everyday lives. In the following argument, I won’t simply assume that certain things are the way they are because of feminism. I will actually demonstrate how feminism was the causal factor that influenced the situation.
Because of feminism, you will never see men who were sexually assaulted by women outright dismissed as objects of a joke in a satirical newspaper article. Long gone are those days! Everybody knows now that men get raped by women, to

"Mom, why did we leave?" I asked as I flicked my dark brown brown appendage. The blonde woman hadn't told me anything, but just drug me off. I was starting to get worried. I wasn't used to questioning her, but what else could I do? It had been a few weeks since we left home, and she said that we would already be home by now. She had lied, and I should have seen it.
"We'll head back soon, David. Right now we need some mother-son bonding time away from the rest of the family." She said without looking back. She flicked one of her darker colored ears as she looked from right to left. The neko blood in her wasn't as strong as it was in me. My mother only had ears, but didn't have a tail like I did. Like most nekos did actually.
"I'm not stupid." I objected, and rooted my feet to the sidewalk. It was dark out, and the city we were in wasn't known for it's helpful civilians.
"I know." Her voice was soft, but stern. "I never said that you were."
"You are acting like it though."
"No I'm not."

The hiss of rainfall on the streets of Fillydelphia was muffled, if insubstantially, by the walls of the crumbling structure Moxi sat in. She watched the city around her, careful not to overlook anything, alleys, doorways, any place where their enemies could hide from her eyes.
"By the night," she muttered to herself, wiping her rain spattered glasses with the end of her dangling patchwork scarf, "how did I get myself into this mess?" She turned back to face the sleeping figure behind her, Dreamcatcher's slumbering breaths came ragged and pained, and it was no surprise, with the blood soaked bandages wrapped around his body. The alicorn had been careful, his blade had bit into Dreamcatcher's flesh at exactly the right points to do the most surface damage, Catcher was only lucky to have been able to escape before any life threatening wounds could be inflicted.
Moxi felt her eyes begin to mist over with tears, and dabbed at them with her scarf as well before turning to regard

He rolled up his blotted mask and popped one into his mouth. The Joker eyed this curiously before leaning over, licking his painted lips and hissing, "can I have one...?" He gave Rorschach what he took to be an attempt puppy-dog eyes but it was difficult to fall for when it was coming from a sadistic clown with a scarred smile than ran almost all the way up to his ears who smelled almost as odd as he did.
Rorschach popped another cube into his mouth.
He'd never really cared for puppy-dog eyes.
The Joker feigned a pout then stealthily slid his chair over to Jack. "Can I have some...?" he asked in a voice that he hoped was innocent enough.
Jack finished a swig from the tall bottle and licked his lips. The Joker noticed that he seemed to sway a bit before he slurred out, "Mmmmmnnnooo..." followed by another equally long gulp from the bottle.
The Joker growled and turned angrily to Lego

That was all Jack needed. With a sharp cry, he swung his blade twice into the demon's dark form, creating a shining white X as he did so. The demon let out an ear-piercing shriek and suddenly began to howl-

What does it mean to be a furry?
Why are people furry?
What does "furry" mean?
Do you remember being a kid? A young one? If you were an average kid, puppies and kittens were cute, you spoke before thinking, you liked to play around, and everything soft was amazing. Admit it, you had a teddy bear and/or a blanket that you loved. Why? Because, the comfort of softness and all things cuddly was a wonder and, well, a comfort. What if you never had to let that enchanting comfort go?
So, furries are practicers of bestiality and zoofilia, right?
Wrong. Furries are not too different from you. Let me tell you something that may surprise you: FURRY IS NOT SOLELY A SEXUAL FETISH. Wait, but what about all the porn? Yes, some people do have a furry fetish, but not all furries are like this. And even those with the fetish aren't zoofiliacs. If they were, then why do they "HUMANIZE" the animals? Something to think on.
Ok, if it isn't a se

I had a dream that it was true, that I had a dragon companion. He would protect me, and I him. We worked together. The odd part was that after I woke up I still felt like the dragon was around, just out of my sight. The feeling didn't go away either, and when I was outside I kept thinking I saw him out of the corner of my eye, but I when I looked I seen nothing.
When I would go for walks I would hear things, like there was something walking nearby, but I could never see it. Like a cricket in a room, as soon as soon I tried to find it, it was gone. I started to ignore these things, because I could never prove that anything was there.

"They are getting close, wait until the tank is next to the car." I whispered to Jacek who was lying next to me as he twisted the last few wires together, priming the final fuse. From our second floor position we had a commanding position over the street below, gripping my rifle I readied myself for the fight to come. A block away, a small squad of two dozen German troops headed by a Panther tank cautiously made their way towards our position which was at the far end of a T shaped intersection. Those fascist bastards were oblivious of the trap which has been set for them. The rumbling of the German tank was growing ever louder as they drew ever closer, less than thirty meters from the car now. Jacek gripped the detenator anxiously, thick beads of sweat running down his gaunt, unshaven face. I reached over to him and placed a steadying hand on his shoulder. "Wait for

As the figure entered the chamber, which turned out to be a study, it removed its hood to reveal a violet hedgehog woman with a golden crown upon her head. Her dark eyes gazed to an elderly man with a blue wizard hat.
"I apologize for taking so long. My world had become a hazardous place as of late." The queen spoke.

Campus Avenue bears a strange energy, intangible, ethereal. Halfway between the Administration Building and the Lower Dorms, six ancient stoneworks line the road. They are arranged the same way as the pips on the six side of a die, even rows with a gap between, where the brick road runs.
The pedestals are four feet off the ground at their highest, each with a low ramp that runs to the edge of the road and no further. The road is not part of them, since the stoneworks were constructed from a form a basalt known only to exist miles below the surface. The road is red brick only. The road is not special save that when it was built, the road crew specifically, carefully, painfully measured the spacing between the pedestals that they should avoid the road sides from touching the edges of the stone ramps.
Nobody had asked them to. That is what everyone knows about Campus Avenue: nobody wants to disturb the stoneworks. They are scarcely documented. The university’s most prestigious arche

That's why you don't see good guys making puns as much. Because they're not evil geniuses. Duh. The villain needs to have a pun ready and loaded for use at any time, any where. If the villain can't do that...well, he's not very clever or evil now, is he?
