Portrait of the oft-requested Detective Inspector Greg Lestrade from Sherlock. A lovely silver fox and a surprisingly interesting and likable character. Painted in Adobe Photoshop CS5 with a Bamboo Fun from ref.
Painted over Livestream today. The full video isn't available because I kept lagging out in the beginning, but thank you very much to all who stayed and watched! Companion piece to the recent Sherlock portrait I did - this is Dr. John Watson (looking all haunted and sad) as played by Martin Freeman in BBC's Sherlock series. I love the intensity coupled with the dry humor that Freeman brings to the role!
"You're not haunted by the war, Dr. Watson... you miss it."
Portrait of Molly Hooper from Sherlock, a wonderfully interesting, subtle character that I hope to see more of in Season 3! Painted in Adobe Photoshop CS5 with a Bamboo Fun from ref.
"What do you need...?"
Painted over Livestream last night, you can view the full process recording here: livestre.am/VZtS Thanks for watching everyone who was there! This is the Sherlock Holmes as played by Benedict Cumberbatch in BBC's Sherlock series, which is a TV show I highly, highly recommend. I've been a Holmes/Conan Doyle fanatic since high school - even did a term paper on it - so I was thrilled to hear about this series!
"I'm a consulting detective... the only one in the world."
The lovely and fearless landlady from Sherlock who is not your housekeeper. Painted in Adobe Photoshop CS5 from various refs. People seem to draw her rarely and she deserves more love!
"Mrs. Hudson leave Baker Street? England would fall."
Moriarty from BBC's Sherlock... they did an absolutely chilling interpretation of the character. I adore Andrew Scott to pieces (as I adore the entire show really!) Drawn in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.
"No one ever gets to me... and no one ever will."
Painting of Mycroft Holmes as played by the most excellent Mark Gatiss, as always from BBC's Sherlock. He's also, incidently, one of the creators. And thus one of my personal gods. Drawn in Adobe Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.
"I occupy a MINOR position in the British government..."
