2D + 3D CommissionsHello, you arrived at my Commisions page2D + 3D Commissions3 years ago in Personal More Like This
If you are interested in getting a CGI image created for you, please continue to the section you are interested in. There are three sections:
2D section covers all kind of colored, shaded images, preferably drawn with outlines.
3D works is about polygonal objects of all kinds, textured and with some post-processing for nice looks.
Vector images refer to things drawn with hard lines and occasional shading, such as blueprints and ink-like drawings.
I do all kinds of art and I'm opened to different styles (vector drawings of a Star Wars ship, 3D render of a Stargate vehicle, blueprint for a Dune tank and of course every kind of original universe objects and scenes) so don't be afraid to ask for anything that you can think of.
You can also check examples of my commisioned work and private gallery works on the bottom of this entry.
I am looking forward to working with you and seeing a happy finish
Please note that preferably I acc

In ancient tradition, Halloween was thought to be the night of the year when the realms of the living of the living and the dead came the closest together, enabling evil spirits and demons to hop over to our side to make mischief. For centuries the Church made very serious studies of what these hellacious creatures were actually thought to look like. Today, “creature imagining” is just a creative exercise and a way of having fun. Thank goodness none of our deviantART artists are drawing any of the subjects of this collection from live models. (Then again, just maybe…)

Once upon a time…
Bbefore there was a boy wizard named Harry Potter or anything much was known about events occurring a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… there was the oral tradition of telling fairy tales, the first wonderful basic form of education in the lives of all the children in the world. Civilization was just getting underway with cities and towns and tiny hamlets taking shape in cleared patches of real estate carved out of the primeval European woods. In doing research on line it is

Critique and youThere was a small discussion in my last journal about unhelpful tutorials, that touched the topic of critique.Critique and you1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
So, I decided to talk about critique for a bit.
In the online art community there is no unified stance on critique. Some people are totally incapable of recieving any form of critisism of their creation and think it's the devil. Some think that critique is should always be a "sandwich". Some people think that anything goes and the artist should listen to all feedback if he chooses to publish art online. Some say critique is only valid "constructive" and some say that it doesn't take a chef to know the steak was burnt.
I'll talk about how I percieve it - and mind you, my perception had changed over the years. This is more about what I figured during this time.
Point 1: Feedback is essential for development. That's not a solely artistic thing. Every human activity implies there's a trial and error process involved in the honing of any skill and being taught that skill. Thing is,

There was once a time when art depicting the lands west of the Appalachian Mountains as pristine wilderness awaiting exploration was censured by church and state as distracting from more important matters of the common pieties of home life. But there have always been those who need visions of grander realms for the journeys they can only dream of experiencing, but that may one day be rest stops on their great–great–grandchildren’s celestial road maps.

the importance of failingsOften times i see many artists on all levels expressing their expectations from their current progress and seeing it as they fail. They feel this way because the type of level that is set is not only high but its constantly changing to grow higher even as they are progressing passed levels of artistic skills.the importance of failings2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Imagine a horse rider holding a fishing pole with sugar(your artistic level you want to reach) by the end of the string. And you the artist is the horse pursuing it.You are progressing forward but your goal is also being set higher as you progress.
And of course you will never ever reach the level that is constantly changing and i think this is an idea that every eager and striving artist should be comfortable with. To be comfortable with failing. This is not to say that you wont reach new levels , because you will. The levels you set up when you started out are much lower then the levels you set in your current phase.
The tough part is of course to stay on trac

To anyone who finds these memory cards,
and the messages left within...
My name is Charles Snippy. I am probably the last sane human being left on earth. I know not whether you will understand this message. I know not whether you'll even be able to decode the ones and zeros on these data cards. I know not whether my voice will even reach anyone.
I know not, whether the microscopic drives will last long enough and whether the plastic and metal which composes them will not disintegrate into dust as centuries pass or whether the titanium shell encasing them will remain in place or be consumed by the ever-changing landscape, lost forever.
And yet I still have hope that someone will find the story of my life, long past and learns something of use from it.
If you are still human, then this will be a story about the collapse of civilization of your forefathers through greed and arrogance.
If you are some other species entirely, then it is a story about how our human race was extin

Coming across a deserted house, whether hidden by the distance of a rolling countryside or by the shadows of adjoining city ghetto dwellings, is like stumbling across an unnoticed, unburied corpse. It is obviously dead now, but once it was full of lives. Coming across a haunted house is different. Deserted or still occupied, it is a place where lives, unsatisfied, have refused to move on into a full death. The houses reflect their tenants. They are living dead structures, refusing to return to dust.

The Inked Squid turns to the Wanderer, and speaks.
"I think I shat my pants."
The Lone Wanderer sternly looks at the Inked Squid, and prepares to make a remark.
He is interrupted by the Moose Master, who stifles his laugh first.
"What a shitty situation." The Moose Master concedes.
"Just kill more things with less Fiber, Squidboy." The Wanderer mentions.
"That pun was shitty." Replied the Inked Squid.
"I'm sorry guys, my Joke Pipes are backed up." said the Moose Master, with a sigh.
"Okay guys, enough. Let's just wipe the slate clean." The Wanderer responded.
"We could try counseling, might just flush away the pain." The Moose Master replied to the Wanderer.
"Won't work. He'll just clog and plug up his emotional drain." The Wanderer conceded.
"This conversation is going down the drain." Replies the Inked Squid.
"You look a little flushed. Are you sure your mental pipes aren't backed up?" Replied the
Know your Basics - TexturesThere are a lot of tutorials out there on how to create / photograph texture as well as how to use them on a technical level, but the question of why and when to use textures is rarely touched. This article wants to fill that gap and therefore looks at texures from a slightly different perspective.Know your Basics - Textures2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Textures in Manips as you know them
For a photomanipulator, the first thing that comes to mind when hearing the word "texture" are images that can be used in soft light or overlay mode to texture a manipulation or parts thereof. What most manipulators therefore have in mind, are images like the following:
Beautiful textures, sure, and useful, too, but have you ever thought of doing more with them than the aforementioned overlays? And have you ever considered using other kinds of textures, too?

On March 1, 2012 the Nevada DMV issued the first license for a Google Driverless Car. The idea behind this innovation is that one day soon new technology will drive cars safer and more skillfully than humans, thus saving lives and billions of dollars in car crashes. How well this idea catches on is a bit questionable, given the powerful “romance” of driving one’s car, but it’s certainly an indicator of things to come in the daily intersection of human and artificial intelligence and mobility. There have always been those who have dreamed of stepping into a mechanical exo-skeletal-type “suit” and letting the engineering do the work, insta

Tips For Commission ArtistsHello! I thought of making this small guide, based from my personal experience, to give tips to artists, mostly beginners, to be more successful at selling commissions, since seeing from my previous journal many had difficulty with it. So here are some tips to help boosting your sales.Tips For Commission Artists1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Have your commission info somewhere visible
Possibly, people won't even know you are taking commissions or if they are open if you don't put your commission info somewhere they can see. You can do this in a journal, that I mostly recommend, since it will be showing into your watcher's inboxes and most of your watchers probably rarely visit your profile page. You could still also use the commission widget, or donation poll to write your info. You can also link to your commission info in your signature or the artist's comment of new drawings you upload.
Keep it simple
Don't add too many unnecessary rules or in
