I stumbled into the bathroom at around ten, washing my face and slipping into my pajamas. Thankfully I didn’t take long changing, because as I was brushing my teeth, Scout came barging in. Shirtless, and brandishing a toothbrush with a giant bottle of mouthwash, I was almost lost for words, throwing my dirty clothes aside.
“Um, pardon your intrusion?”
“Yeah, sorry doll. Sink’s broken in my room. I knew you wouldn’t mind me coming in here, I am your favorite after all.”
“Mmmmm-kay. I accept, but only if you remember to knock next time.”
I hopped to one side to make space, trying to stifle the oncoming yawns. It had been a busy week, fighting nonstop and in the rain at one point. I hated those the most, because my weapon would shock me if I was soaked. So I was getting ready to sleep in late and rise with the pace of a drugged snail.

Glitter. That’s what the sky looked like at night out in the desert. Like some enthusiastic child spilled out a jar full of sparkly sliver over black paper, each piece shining and flickering. It was amazing, in every detail, craning my neck to look further at the Milky Way as the campfire cackled by my ear.
We were still trying to get to know each other, only a few days spent at the Fort since the beginning of recruitment. No one spoke much and we kinda stayed to ourselves in our own little worlds. Of course we wanted to work together, hell we going to have to at some point. But we’re all tense and possibly homesick right now, not knowing what each day will hold for us. That’s why we were having this little desert camping experience.
I looked back at the fire, again thinking of each individual man sitting around me. Why was I the only girl!? It felt too weird, lonely, and scary. Brute men like Heavy could hurt m

It was a normal day at the Fort, which was alright on their free days. Instead of having to go steal Intel or die off in some dramatic fight, each team member set off to relax and spend some time to themselves.
One such person was Soldier. He woke bright and early, but with less urgency like usual, using some time to straighten his room and throw on his ‘casual’ uniform. The nice thing to him, being a guy and all, was that he didn’t need to use a mirror, knowing all the while as he threw his hat on without a glance that he looked as spiffy as he did every day since he joined the team. If only he had looked….

You skipped your merry butt along the forest trail, humming a tune to yourself as the beautiful scenery passed by. Some time had passed since the bathroom thing, and you laid back on your teasing to give Jeff his space. He seemed very distant and tense, even socking poor Eyeless Jack the other day just for spilling coffee on his side of the couch.
Mundane things were setting him off and he staid quiet by himself, not even messing around with Ben like usual. This of course worried you. If he was acting out because of you, then you really wanted to apologize for your behavior. You didn’t mean anything by it, just wanted to express your growing attraction to the handsome killer.
It wouldn’t matter much anyways in a few days. To your complete and utter horror, Slendy announced Jane the Killer’s arrival due next week, and everyone knew how

I sat on my bed, watching the clock tick away as the impending silence of the base sank further into the night. There was a burning hunger deep in my stomach, making me twitch and pray that everyone was deep enough in their dreams to not be up at this hour. My mission was simple in idea, but problematic to actually succeed in. It wasn’t a job I could just do. It needed stealth, efficiency, and calm. Because I was going to break into Medic’s lab.
As insane as it sounded, the item of choice was even weirder: The jar of cough drops. Yes, I am one of the poor souls addicted to those things. The cool menthol dripping down my throat and the refreshing flavors soothing the inner hunger, God I love cough drops. The major problem was how hard it is to infiltrate such a part of the base. Medic is very strict about who and what goes in and out of there, and not to mention the fact that he would flip if he found out about me stealing from hi

The fire in the fireplace and the twinkling Christmas lights did little to lighten the mood around the playing table, a few sighs shared and disheartened looks falling onto the worn wood. Everyone was like this, since the Administrator didn’t release us from this hellhole for the holidays and no one was permitted to leave the base, not even to go to town for drinking away the pain.
Instead, we were meant to sit around and do nothing, not even fight since the snowstorm hit a few days earlier and prevented us from releasing our stresses. The only good thing was the generators kept the power up, thanks to Engineer’s brilliance in mechanics. But even that did little to lift the dark spirits in us.
“I hate life.” Scout exclaimed quietly, slumped into his arms.
“I agree completely.” Sniper said, almost falling out of his chair from slouching.

My eyes could not go any wider, watching as Soldier ran yelling as he gave chase to a seagull squealing loudly. The poor rat with wings was barley able to escape the man’s brutality, flying as fast as he could as Sol ran a few more paces before watching in scorn as it escaped. He then proceeded to pull out his gun and pop a bullet at it, missing by inches.
“Soldier, you can’t shoot on public beaches!” Medic exclaimed, trying to pry the weapon out of the buffer man’s grip. Good thing we were the only group out today on this secluded beach. “Especially not at the wildlife.”

The instant foaming of bubbles and the scent of winter spice filled the steamy air, inhaling it as I sat on the edge. I put everything aside, in reachable distance, and made sure to start adding cold water to temperate the hot. It made the room feel incredibly nice.

Mornings for most people would start out with lazy yawns, back stretching, getting the coffee started, ect. But here at 2Fort, it starts out differently. Soldier yells down the hallway “Every maggot better be up in five or it’s hell to pay!” and there is this slow scramble to get up and make the beds before shuffling into the main hall for breakfast that we all share a part in making.
But on weekends, which are special sleep-in days, two particular team members initiate a long held tradition: Watching Cartoons. Don’t get me wrong. Both me and Scout get enough TV in each day when fights and training are over with. But those certain special shows come on only on two days, and to view them in their glory, one has to be awake and ready at a moments notice.

I had disobeyed the captain again. He was angry with me, but not so much as when I nearly burned down the fort, which was a misfortune altogether. Though that did little to comfort me when he put me on laundry duty, the worst next to bathroom cleaning. It was boring, standing around and washing every article of clothing possible. And it wasn’t like the boxers or underwear bothered me.
It was the socks.
They were dingy, holey as can be, and they rank from all the running around. Ewwwww, just thinking about them made me sick, because they went through them so quickly in just a week. That’s why I had to perfume the room when I came down, cause you could smell it all just in the hallway.

The hazy afternoon sunlight streamed across the blood soaked battle grounds, a few limbs and bodies scattered about in painful and nasty positions. Just from where he watched, it looked rather gruesome to Acelin, staying low in the waters for safety. He didn’t like the smell and decided to stay as far away as he could.
Slipping to the other side shore, he crawled partially out, feeling the warm baked sand and rock beneath his skin. He liked it, since it didn’t burn and felt good. Letting his extra limbs slid up out of the water for a quick sun tanning, he relaxed back, sighing softly before closing his eyes.
