First attempt at actually sticking to the art deco fashion, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Tennant was the most tedious part, the rest was just kindof messing around and drawing lines until I liked what came of it. Something like 13 hours of work. Oh, and the Gallefrian symbol on the top means "Light", which I felt suited the Doctor.
Alright, I finally took the hint and did up an Iron Man POPaganda design. And here it is! This seriously took me 3 years to get right. I had so many stops and starts and stops and starts that I wasn’t sure I was EVER gonna get it right enough for me. But, I ended up pretty pleased with how this came out, how about you?
Decided to give him a sort of Gatsby design with futuristic tones. I always felt he was a much colder doctor than Matt Smith or Tennant, and while goofy...just felt really aloof. As an actor, he usually plays villains, so I suppose that's why I feel the darker look fits a bit better. The Gallifrian symbol up top is for "New", since he was the birth of the new series (and I didn't like how "RUN!" looked). Fantastic was his catch-word. As I make more, I'll have a wider array of backgrounds and such that upon request, can be switch and swapped between doctors for a more custom poster design.
I was originally going to do an Art Nouveau style border decor, but after trying it out just felt that a Van Gogh style would work much better for the man. The symbol up top is Gallifreyan for "Solitude". All the outlines done in Illustrator as usual, and coloring in Photoshop.
