You winced as the door slammed. Looking up from your book, you could see that you weren't the only one who was disturbed. Seamus, Arthur and Dylan are all looking over the tops of their books, frowning.
Allistor, the eldest of the Kirkland brothers, stumbled into the living room. His cheeks were bright red, a dopey grin on his face. You glanced at Arthur. His large eyebrows had taken a skydive down to hover over his glaring green eyes. (The guy had gigantic eyebrows. As his best friend you were allowed to make fun of them.)
"Lassie!! Jis' tha girl Ah want'd ta see!!" He staggered slightly and you could tell that he was more than just a little drunk. Arthur stood, moving towards his brother.
"Go to bed Allistor, you're drunk."
The redhead waves his brother off, scoffing. "Ah'm nae drunk."
He turns back to you, green eyes sparkling. You watched warily. Allistor was unpredictable when he was drunk. One minute a crying l

_____ was reasonably new to the school and usually hung out with Arthur Kirkland, Mathew Williams and Alfred Jones. For someone so new and quiet she was very popular, just not in the way you would expect. Everyone loved the kind, cheerful girl and would often go to chat with her, or sit with her when they had nowhere to go or felt a bit lonely, knowing that she was warm and welcoming.
But that didn’t make her any less shy than she was. In fact the first time she met Arthur, the class grades student council rep she didn’t say a word for the first two hours!

The Incident (ScotlandXReader)Sitting on a bar stool, nursing the best scotch the pub had to offer, Allistor Kirkland didn’t have too much to complain about. He had a drink, a cigar, and all the time in the world. Not literally, of course (the paperwork had to be done at some point), but it was nice to pretend. Now all he needed was a fight. The Incident (ScotlandXReader)2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
One particularly drunken man was causing a ruckus across the bar, shouting for more drinks in a voice so slurred, words could barely be recognized. Allistor growled in annoyance, his grip tightening on the bottle in his hand, teeth grinding against the cigar perched on his lips. It looked like he had his target, and perfect timing, too.
The bartender noticed the look in his eye. “Oh no ye don’t, Allistor. Not tonight. Ye nearly destroyed the place last time,” the older man cautioned, but the red head couldn’t hear through the anger burning in the back of his skull.
“He deserved it, though,” Allistor growled, emerald eyes watching the lo

Allistor grinned lazily, opening his arms for you as he stumbled inside. Why did you even wait up for him anymore? You should’ve known he’d come home drunk like always. With a couple more drunken slurs of what you guessed was your name, he fell to his knees in front of you.
You shook your head at him and sighed, putting down the magazine you’d engrossed yourself in. Stroking his cheek, to which he nuzzled his face in your hands. “I’m back hooome~” He murmured, pressing kisses on your palms.
“W-why’re ya still awake..?” He questioned, resting his chin on your folded up legs. “I was waiting for you stupid.” Why did you still wait up for him like this? Oh yes, it was because you were head over heels for the redheaded Scot and his affection, which tended to be more prominent

You arrived at your place of employment with a slight grimace. The bar was already stocked with men and women of varying appearances, but they all shared one similarity.
They were all drunk.
With a slight huff, you began wiping down the bar and cleaning up the enormous amount of extraneous empty glasses. The strong bitter stench of alcohol was almost intolerable as a few customers passed by you. It wasn't long before you had to refuse to serve a couple of them.
Another bar tender arrived with an apologetic smile before she dove right into cleaning and serving. The crowd began to grow loud and a bit rambunctious. They were singing a few drinking songs off key and not quite in sync. The bar tender and you giggled as some men tried to dance with each other resulting in them falling over and laughing themselves.
Everyone was enjoying themselves until a glass shattered against the hard, dark stained wooden floor and a man fell after it. The noise was unhindered until the

“You’d never find London doing the housework. No, she’s too important, England does it all instead. Yet Scotland won’t even get up of his arse and do the dishes from time to time.”

You were different.
It was something he noticed a long time ago, that sparked his immediate interest and caused his mind to recently always wander…to you. He wondered why that was so. Was it because you didn’t follow the usual patterns of the girls in this school and fawn over him every day, hour, and minute? Probably.
The object of his thoughts was currently sitting a few desks away, perched near a window. The sun caught her [HairColor] locks and set a glowing sheen over them, as if she acquired a halo. She certainly was similar to an angel- perhaps not in personality since she spat out the foulest of insults sometimes when he chatted her up.
To the unknowing passerby, you seemed like a quiet girl. They almost never got along and constantly bullied each other over almost anything. Practically tortured each other but they were all in one place for one reason.

You huffed as you walked over to him, poking his forehead with your index finger. "Did you even listen to me? I'm not a little kid anymore!" You pouted.

Smoke (ScotlandXReader)Deep, deep into the furthest recesses of your sleep, a familiar scent wafted over you. It wasn’t the pleasant cookie-scent your mother used to wake you up with, nor the papery smell of the Sunday newsletter your father used to concentrate on in the mornings. The mixture contained a blend of something sickly sweet, like the sugar candies you used to chew on until your jaw was sore, as well as a hot, musky type of smell. All of that mixed with the smell of used linen sheets and the heady smell of sweat, strangely you could also detect a breath of frosty air. Drowsily, your tired eyes fluttered open – determined to name that particular scent that had lured you from your dreams.

You woke up to the sound of small droplets of water hitting the window glass. The sun had still not risen but a few storm clouds had decided to drop by for a visit today. Nobody was outside, but that didn't surprise you since it was still early.
