How bats fly, taken from several reference videos. I also read this site, which is very helpful for understanding how to animate birds realistically: [link]

For Bio 200.

I could make an animated gif if anyone's interested in seeing that.

This is for the Sweeny Todd poster contest, held by none other than the very folks who made the movie. Pretty cool.

I thought I'd go with a little symbolism. The story is a tragedy (in its own way), and Sweeny is out to avenge his wife, who was wrongfully messed with by a corrupt judge. That's Sweeny's eye there reflected in his razor, and his wife's face in that little blood droplet. Not coincidentally, the blood drop is also positioned right where a tear would be falling from Mr. Todd's eye. That's to show just how messed up he is.

I once asked myself: what if a fictional 19th century China had similar technical advances as Jules Verne's England, with equivalents of the Time Machine and the Nautilus?

Here's what I came up with, the imperial steam-powered junk (a type a Chinese sailing ship that's not normally steam-powered).

(This picture was originally done in March 2008, but I found it again and touched it up a little.)

I already uploaded these on my :iconstockry: account a while ago, but I figured I'd upload them here too :)

These are FREE.

These brushes were made in CS3,

These brushes will not behave properly in GIMP and they will probably not work on PS7

Deep in the sandy desert, hidden by dunes and mirages, the Wind Temple stands, abandoned long ago by its ancient builders. To this day, the Temple produces an eerie howl when the warm desert winds fly though it.

And that's all I know about it.

This is an entry for an exotic environments contest.

Edit: Oh, hey a DD! Thank you ^casperium!

Like these? You might like

Wanted to throw together some brushes for you guys. Mostly this is for sketching, concept and speed paints. They're simple, and there aren't a lot, but hey. Photoshop's real media brushes SUCK In my own opinion. If you like them, what ever?

Anyway, these were inspired by some of the ones from MyPaint.

Theres pencils, charcoal, some paint, inks, a shitty copic marker, and a texture brush.

Hope you like!

This guy swoops down from on high and slams into his prey, much like the Haast's Eagle (the largest eagle ever) may have done before it went extinct.

In certain parts of the forest, on certain nights, when the moonlight reaches the forest floor and glimmers in the dewdrops, the noble Stag of Bells appears. He glides though the forest in an eerie silence, his bells singing a song no mortal ear may hear.
