How can I have locked you away?
The blame was your own; the punishment, mine
Gallopfrey's silent today
Now into the stillness I keep trav'ling on
With no one my comp'ny to keep
This deed I have done to save all of time
Has wounded my hearts much too deep
Once did a pony who traveled so far
Look out on all of space and time
He smiled and said, "Surely, there is no pony
So lucky and so very brilliant as I"
So great was the pow'r of his ponies, the Time Horses
That when "To war, now!" they cried
The shadow they cast swept the whole universe
And grew ever darker as centuries died
Lullay my ponies, goodbye Gallopfrey
Rest now from war and from pain
Would that my lullaby could reach you now
Through matter, through time, and through space
May my apologies find you somehow
And carry my sorrow in kind
My home, my friends, and my loved ones are gone
Why must you have all been so blind?
Soon did that pony take notice that the war
Was tearing a

stooped above unchristened foregrounds and below unchristened skies.
Silently, they settled there like freshly fallen snow,
yet to bare adulteration by the footprints of our time.
And we emerged from these like arrows' spires: stabbing through the haze
stretching toward each tine and bolt the winter storms had sent our way.
And we tumbled from the sky and we snapped against the bow,
bruised with sultry summers and rainclouds of our own.
And time, it left us in a fog as we drowned beneath its swells
and what once held us like arrows' spires now pressed us to the ground.
Our passions, they diffused into a sea we could not wade
when the snows had turned to ice and the ice begun to fade.
But old passions turned to new and fresher snows did fall, and though
we snapped against the bow it seemed we quite enjoyed the fall;
Though we drowned beneath the fog and were bruised with summer days,
we will emerge like arrows' spires: fo

When I look into your eyes,
all i can see is ice.
I've tried to break through it...
but couldn't do it.
Those dazzling eyes of yours,

I just wish they weren't so cold,
and even though i'm not so bold..
That I love you so.

Learning to Smile
I was a child of stones
A daughter of the rock farmers
No joy was known there
But gloom and endless working
Under the hot, blazing sun
The barren fields, all without green
Granites were our flowers
Our grass made of sand and gravel
I breathed the choking air on the wordless world
I walked on soil bare of seeds
In a poor family among rocks
A child was born with a bright mane
Pink coat in colorless home
Such a punchline in a grey world
Gathered rocks in silence
Aching hooves our pay for a hard work
Dust on my eyes and throat
I dreamed of world out of my life
I breathed the choking air on the wordless world
I walked on soil bare of seeds
Throughout the days I gazed repressed at hollow skies
A solace for indifference
The tremor passed over our farm

You're a mean one, Dr. Doof,
You really are a grump,
You're as pleasant as a pimple,
You're as smooth as a lump,
You're an empty tuna can that's been thrown on the dump!
You're a monster, Dr. Doof,
You give us all a scare!
You're as kind and gentle
As a rabid polar bear,
I wouldn't touch you with a 100-year-old dusty chair!
You're a vile one, Dr. Doof,
I'm really sure of that,
You have all the charming cuteness
Of a one-eyed vampire bat,
Given the choice between the two of you, I'd take the one-eyed vampire bat!
You're a rotter, Dr. Doof,
Your plans are so monstrous,
You're wacky and you're crazy,
You're so mischievous,
You're as kind-hearted as General Grievous!
You're a foul one, Dr. Doof,
You're a moldy old french fry,
You're wicked and you're schemeful
That we can't deny,
Your mind is so ill and twisted that it makes you even more insane than good old Brundlefly!
You nauseate me, Dr. Doof,

Putting Up my WallsPutting Up My WallsPutting Up my Walls3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I used to have my walls down for everyone to come in
Anyone who seemed to care, anyone who "loved" me
But then I was used, thrown on the ground and stepped on
Till I was bruised, bleeding, weak and completely paralyzed
And from that day forward, I began to build up very tall walls
around my scarred up heart filled with shards of broken glass
So tall that if anyone were to even attempt and climb over them
That they'd become tired, and their hands full of oozing blisters.
No, I never had the desire to let one person in again to abuse me
The walls that have stood for years have caused my heart to chill
Because I didn't want to allow any ray of sunshine to come upon it
In fear that it would eventually become a horrible haunting darkness
That would cause me to recoil further into deep depressing despair
I'd rather be alone within these tall walls, then to be hurt again
For I believe even if I do find that one who manages to climb over
There will still be

Into the spectacle of the sea
Sinking into a school
Of vermillion grouper:
The day-star strikes a path for us
Deep into the swelling rhythm
Of the ancient blue,
The somber cool;
Above the surface,
A vanilla sky;
From the inside
Of a flower;
Our hands explore dark waters for treasured touch;
Separating seaweed with fingertip scythes
Of poignant flesh;
Being with you is like floating for the first time
In my own personal ocean,
Or standing barefoot in the wake
Of a tsunami, unafraid;
Or holding a jewel
On His SmileWhen she sees his smile,On His Smile4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
A magma joy blossoms within her.
For his smile is of her crafting,
and it is her warm, prided longing
to caress the work of her own hands
that seeks to pull her heated, beating heart
from its place at the corners of her eyes,
out from the upturned edges of her lips,
through the very extremities of her tingling fingers,
and into a beautiful gift.
Just for him.
To keep him warm.
For his joy draws from somewhere
very near the base of her love;
and she could not stand to lose it.
SadnessSadness had always been an active resident in the places I had lived.Sadness3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It swelled and breathed and scented the breeze like the dying petals of spring,
floating through open windowpanes and settling like dust on the empty shelves.
Sometimes it just appeared without visible entry like the cobwebs that roost in those corners you had thought so clean just a day ago. Or it unraveled in the morning dew and graced the cold spring skies, scattered like hundreds of wandering stars only visible in the light of a window.
It would melt into my morning tea, cooling the little tornadoes of cream and sugar that spun around my spoon and it would pass behind my pupils as I stood before the bathroom mirror.
I could hear it at night like an insect, clicking across my skull, etching tallies in the walls like a prisoner counting the days without the sun.
Sadness swelled and breathed and surrounded me until I was certain that it was simply a part of my being; the part as close to myself as my skin and my bon

"I will do what I want! I don't have to tell you guys all the time!" I winced a little as I heard my brothers' voice yelling. I really didn't know why he was yelling so much, and always at our parents anymore. I mean I know that Toshi sometimes didn't agree with what they did, but he normally listened to them. As of late, that had changed.
I was in my room, in my pajamas, and hugging one of my teddy bears close to me. My room might be on the second floor of our home, but I could still hear them clearly when they were yelling. Just like I could hear my brother coming up the stairs right now. How did I know it was him? There were a few reasons: a) he was muttering: b) he was the only one that stomped up here. The room that our parents used was down the stairs.
"Toshi." I said as I climbed off my bed, and out into the hall. He stopped and looked at me in an irritated matter: even though I wasn't sure why.
"What is it, brat?" He always called me that lately. I didn't care. I knew h

What once was there
Not so long ago
Is now a tattered memory
Lost to feelings gone to and fro
He used to look at me
With eyes that glimmered with love
But now they have lost it's shine
Because those feelings he disposed of
I tried to reach out
To show him that I still cared
But he turned me away
And left me in much despair
I continuously ask... what is it I have done?
What has caused you to act this way?
Is there another
To which your feelings have swayed?
I dare not breathe a word
Because I feel my words are meaningless
And he'd put down all I've said
Putting me into further distress
Am I meant to be sad?
To no longer feel happiness?
To no longer feel warmth and sunshine...
Only be cold and depressed?
I guess I shall accept this burden
This lonely, empty feeling
To no longer be his
I am in his eyes, forever unappealing
So now this is where
I give my tearful adieu
To let you go
Yes my dear, we are through.
