"Stop bullying ! No one deserves to feel worthless ."
I was bullied when I was younger , and I know that Spirit Day is more about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender bullying .. but at the end of the day , bullying is bullying , and any type of bullying is not okay . My friend is gay , so really i'm going to dedicate this picture to him , because I hate seeing the verbal abuse gays get for being gay . That's why I felt like I had to make a photo on Spirit day . I'm not too happy with this picture because I didn't use natural lighting :/ but by the time I went on dA and found out that today was Spirit day , the sun was long gone , so I had to do it without it . Sorry if the picture isn't top-notch ! I used a purple pen because everything about spirit day is purple haha .
“What if the kid you bullied at school , grew up , and turned out to be the only surgeon who could save your life ?”
I know it isn't much, I wasn't very aware that it was Spirit Day, so this is just a little edit I put together. And everything I said was one hundred percent true. Love is love, no matter who it's with.
Not my quote, I remember it from somewhere. But happy valentine's day ;u; If you're single, go get some fucking kickass discounts on chocolate and treat yourself. I bought myself a huge ass stuffed frog to sleep with me.
To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
The vision is that we actually believe these things…
You were created to love and be loved. You were meant to live life in relationship with other people, to know and be known. You need to know that your story is important and that you're part of a bigger story. You need to know that your life matters.
We live in a difficult world, a broken world. My friend Byron is very smart---he says that life is hard for most people most of the time. We believe that everyone can relate to pain, that all of us live with questions, and all of us get stuck in moments. You need to know that you're not alone in the places you feel stuck.
We all wake to the human condition. We wake to mystery and beauty but also to tragedy and loss. Millions of people live with problems of pain. Millions of homes are filled with questions---moments and seasons and cycles that come as thieves and aim to stay. We know that pain is very real. It is our privilege to suggest that hope is real, and that help is real.
You need to know that rescue is possible, that freedom is possible, that God is still in the business of redemption. We're seeing it happen. We're seeing lives change as people get the help they need. People sitting across from a counselor for the first time. People stepping into treatment. In desperate moments, people calling a suicide hotline. We know that the first step to recovery is the hardest to take. We want to say here that it's worth it, that your life is worth fighting for, that it's possible to change.
Beyond treatment, we believe that community is essential, that people need other people, that we were never meant to do life alone.
The vision is that community and hope and help would replace secrets and silence.
The vision is people putting down guns and blades and bottles.
The vision is that we can reduce the suicide rate in America and around the world.
The vision is that we would learn what it means to love our friends, and that we would love ourselves enough to get the help we need.
The vision is better endings. The vision is the restoration of broken families and broken relationships. The vision is people finding life, finding freedom, finding love. The vision is graduation, a Super Bowl, a wedding, a child, a sunrise. The vision is people becoming incredible parents, people breaking cycles, making change.
The vision is the possibility that your best days are ahead.
The vision is the possibility that we're more loved than we'll ever know.
The vision is hope, and hope is real.
You are not alone, and this is not the end of your story.

I've been bullied. Ever since preschool. No one human deserves it. This game, this terrible terrible game needs to end and it's every generation that needs to help stop this. Everybody can help. Bullying is serious and has damaged MANY people's pride (even my own). It has led to many suicides. Think about it, people are KILLING THEMSELVES because of cruel people judging them or what not. No two people are the same, everybody is different and just because we are all different does not mean someone can pick on someone or tease them because of it. We are all alike in some ways, but it's our differences that make us all unique. We can stand up for what is right and raise awareness. Please help raise awareness for bullying. We can help many people. So what's your choice?
Although the overall rate of death by suicide is falling, more than 4,300 people still die by suicide in England and Wales each year. Many more suicide attempts are made. At least one person in every 100 who ends up in hospital after a suicide attempt will succeed within a year, and up to 5% do so over the following decade. A study looking at figures for attempted suicides from several European countries, including the UK, suggests that the figures might be higher - possibly as many as 2% of people who have attempted suicide will kill themselves within a year of the previous attempt. The study also found that about 7% of people in the study died by suicide within the next decade.
