Maka sat on the couch. The screen of the tv was blank. She wasn't doing anything. Just sitting and thinking. The door of the apartment opened. There were footsteps. "Hey Maka! I'm back!" Maka was broken from her trance as she recognized the voice. Soul. Her partner walked into the tiny living room and sat beside her on the couch, cradling her in his arms. "What's going on in the life of the most beautiful girl I've ever met?" Soul kissed her cheek. "Oh, life." Maka giggled and shoved him playfully. She wasn't very giggly, unless with Soul. She always laughed around him. Soul made a face. "Why've you gotta be like that?" He said playfully. "Because I just do!" She smiled and kissed him back. She curled up against Soul and rested her head on his shoulder, embracing Soul's warmth.
Soul's fingers searched for Maka's warmth in his sheets the next morning. There was no one there. Sighing sadly, Soul payed back and turned over on his back. Staring at the

I stared at myself in the mirror. I was perfect. My lashes were thick and black, my eyes a gleaming stormy gray, my lips vivid red, my skin the color of white porcelain, with my cheeks painted rosy pink, and my long, straight brown hair framing perfectly around my perfect face. I was perfect.
I hated myself.
"I hate you..." I whispered to my reflection, and pulled my bag on my shoulders, preparing to go into a world of perfect faces. I stared at my uniform. It was plain and perfect, just like everyone else's under the age of twenty-two.
I went out to see my little sister, Demelza. She was like a perfect angel, with perfect blonde ringlets, perfect baby-blue eyes, perfect pink skin, perfect everything. She looked plastic, like a doll.
"Whitney...?" She whispered, in a soft, angelic perfect voice.
"Yes, Demelza?" My voice was grown-up, wise, mature, and perfect. I hated it.
"Do we have to go to school?" She looked like she wanted t
SoulxMaka - Matching Scars Part 1My name is Soul Eater. I was the one seen pushing people into their lockers, stealing their phones, iPods. I learned that it was the right thing. My parents never gave a flying flip about me. They never cared for me. They favoured my brother, Wes. I never got anything for birthdays or Christmas. One day I saw a boy with the latest iPhone and flouncing it around like it was a million death dollars. I felt so... Jealous. So when the group that surrounded him left I took him by his collar. I yelled in his face, took his flipping iPhone and walked away. I heard him burst into tears and run away but I didn't care. I didn't see him again but like I said, I didn't care.SoulxMaka - Matching Scars Part 13 years ago in Romance More Like This
I kept the iPhone. I still have it now. And I started to steal more and more things. Well, I wouldn't call it 'stealing' seeing as they practically gave them to me. A boy named Black*Star became my friend. My best friend. He was an idiot sometimes. Make that most of the time. He usually held the wimpy kids up by their hands, a

All was quiet in the hospital. Only heavy breathing, the sound of Black*Star puking and the sound of a new born baby crying for the first time, just been introduced into the world. A new mother, Maka, Smiled up at her husband, Soul, the father of the baby. Maka was holding the small child in her arms, the baby was a girl. Black*Star was feeling particularly unwell from checking how the 'little dude' was going during the birth and then caused to throw up into a bucket provided.
Soul was tearing up. He was now a father, a proud one at that. Maka was exhausted. Spirit was not invited to the birth but he didn't want to witness the birth of Soul's child. Spirit even once said the baby couldn't of been Soul's, even accusing his own daughter of cheating to prove the baby was not Soul's. But the new father knew better than not to trust Maka.
Maka was looking down at her new off-spring thinking all the hard work, all the Maka-chopping her Papa, all the back-pains (solved by Soul giving her da
Dear Sister part 4I groaned in the morning when I woke feeling utterly sore. 'I suppose that fight yesterday finally took its tole,' I thought as I sat up sorely. I sighed as I made myself get up and I looked over the cuts from the fight, by now they had all scabbed over. The bruises I had gotten were not exactly unnoticeable, however its not like I had anyone to impress.Dear Sister part 42 months ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I then went and checked on Ninika and once I had confirmed she was sleeping soundly in her bed I went to go find something to eat. I quickly found something and made breakfast despite my condition. After it was finished I got Ninika up and got her to eat, I also had remembered that I had an important task to do today, and unfortunately my sister had to come with me since she couldn't be left alone.
I got my fill of food and got ready before we headed out, Nini was still half asleep though so I carried her for most of the way. Leaving home was not natural for me when it was this far to travel but I had to do it. When I got to the

I’m Soul Eater. I’m 18 years old and I’m the coolest DeathScythe in the DMWA, thanks to my meister. My meister is Maka Albarn. She’s a bookworm, whiny, always crushing my skull with oversized books, and the list went on. And you know something? I wouldn’t trade her for anything in the universe.
Last night, something quite… unusual happened between me and her. We… well… man, I sound so uncool… we kissed.
We were watching this sappy corny love movie and you know how Maka feels about them: always telling her that love doesn’t happen like that and one always ends up hurt, bla bla bla (Spirit is one monumental douche, seriously). So I took her in my arms and kissed her.
“I’m not any kind of guy, Maka, and definitely not like your lousy cheating father. I’m the coolest guy who’s your partner that will always be there for you and protect you from anything.”
I left on that going to sleep. Though now,

Soul yawned and walked into the main hall, stretching his arms. He still had that annoying morning drowsiness. Maka seemed to be uncharacteristically happy as she walked, with a slight skip in her step, to the mission board. "What's got you all happy?" Soul chuckled, wrapping his arm around Maka's shoulder, forcing her to keep from hopping off ahead of him. "Just me being the luckiest girl in the world." She smiled, resting her head on Soul's shoulder. They stood in front of the board, scanning the sheets. They were soon joined by Kid and the twins. "'Sup Maka?" Liz leaned, her elbow propping her on Maka's shoulder. Patty giggled. Kid sighed exasperatedly. He nodded in acknowledgement to Soul. Soul held up his hand in the form of peace signs. Black Star and Tsubaki came from behind, Black Star whooping loudly. "Whazzup you guys?" Black Star high-fived Soul. "Morning Maka, Liz, Patty, Kid, Soul." "Oh, hey guys, good morning." Maka and the girls excha
