Why do you keep your children apart?
Why do you leave us in the dark?
Instead of bringing us together,
You often force us to depart.
We seem not one under the web of stars,
But many, long, wide, and sparse.
As we stare up at you tonight, we stand apart.
We stay sharp, and act as equal counterparts.
As patrons of the night, we were once whole,
But now we are split into shards.
Moon, O moon, give the others my best regards.
And I can only hope that they can hear my sobs.
Connected to you, us night owls create a web of hearts.
A parallel to your glorious stars.
But… to find each other, there are no maps, no charts.
Even the constellations serve no use, when we look to the stars.
We are all lost under your brilliant light,
Because that's how you dealt the cards.
With resolve, I look at you in hopes to evolve!
Or perhaps solve the puzzles that we, long ago could not solve.
To do what Eldritch horrors and Gods could only dream of...
And bring together us all.
