London did not make itself an easy city to love; Christina knew that better than most. Keeping her eyes fixed to the cobbles underfoot, she forced herself to ignore the flood of people crowding into the streets, focusing on following the map tucked away in her memory. The 'In-Between' ran across the bridges of London. An area where the nobility could be found, braving the fetid air drifting across from the slums, gawking at the poor, worthless people who fell into the wrong side of London.
Pulling the rim of her hat lower Christina shrugged past the well dressed sightseers, slipping into the maze of narrow alleyways and filthy terraces which made up the slims. Sidestepping beggars; who huddled in doorways with outstretched palms, she gripped onto her collar, hiding behind the discoloured leather as she moved quickly. Here was where the unsavoury were kept out of sight. The laws set by men like Christina's father forbid those 'of less than pleasing appearance' to step onto the far banks
VisionThe rain was a paradoxical thing for Ezio. He hated it, he loved it. It comforted him, it agitated him. It called back to his past, dredging half-faded memories from someone else's life. The Florentine rooftops hadn't changed at all these last long years, but that was just a facade... the Florence he'd known, the Florence of his youth was just another wisp of memory in his fogged brain. Things changed, he understood that- better than most, he wagered- but maturity and understanding never softened that dull ache when his eyes fell over Palazzo Auditore. He made a point to sidle past it every time he slunk through the high-walled gates of the city, made it a point to find time between killings to look upon his old home... his old life.Vision4 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

The TimesI was printed on the evening of November 27th, 2008, just as the weather was turning from chilly to cold. I was tomorrow's news. At the moment I came off the press, I told the future. I knew things before the rest of the world; it was wonderful. I knew what my purpose was: to inform as many people as possible about the world's happenings. The Times2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
As I was put to bed, bound against my brothers and sisters, I dreamt of being passed around a construction site, making sure all the workers were aware of which sports team triumphed, and which celebrity was getting a divorce. I dreamt that corporate peons debated over politics, and the state of the economy and which policies would be most effective in fixing the existing problems. I slept contently, snuggled warm in the middle of a stack, ready to be shipped out the next day and sold to whoever wanted me.
The next morning was cold and blustery. I was so excited about being sold that I allowed the wind to ruffle my pages, since I couldn't move on my o

Dragon AnatomyThis document will be discussing the physical features of the species dragon Eudraco magnificus occidentalis and their potential benefit to the earth empire.Dragon Anatomy5 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
A dragon is a quadrupedal reptile mammal cross, it has most of the physical characteristics of a reptile such as scales and they hatch from eggs, but has several features that could only classify it as a mammal, such as its warm blooded and the eggs are internally fertilised. These discrepancies are most likely going to reclassify the dragon into a class of its own, probably homoeothermic reptile. Dragons are carnivores, but they are not scavengers, preferring to eat fresh meat that they have killed themselves than carrion. The dragon is what you would call a super predator, similar to industrialized man, it is at the very top of the food chain and nothing is above it.
The dragons power lies in its size and strength, a fully grown dragon reaches about thirty feet in length and fifteen feet high.

The mansion's front door opened as Link and Yeto were approaching, flooding the porch in gentle yellow light. Silhouetted in the doorway was, somehow, impossibly,
"MIDNA?!" Link sputtered.
"Surprise!" Midna shouted happily, throwing an armful of confetti out the door.
"Surprise!" Ooccoo shouted from behind Midna, wearing a vibrant green party hat that somehow failed to make her look any less ugly.
"Surprise!" Ooccoo Jr. shouted, hovering behind his mother like a little humming bird (perhaps a "humming bird" that a small child had made out of clay).
"M-MIDNA?" Link said again, barely comprehending what he was seeing.
"Ha ha!" Yeto boomed. "I tell human there is surprise party with Mindy and Okoo, and he no believe me! Silly human, uh!"

"Thanks for your help, Navi," Green smiled; there was only the smallest hint of exhaustion in his eyes. Without the fairy's help, the four heroes would probably still be going the wrong way. And even though Blue was starting to plan several ways to get Navi to permanently shut up, Green was still glad she was there.
"Yeah, thanks, bye," Blue tried to shoo Navi away. If he had to hear her say "hey" or "listen" again, he'd take Red's fire-rod and put it to good use.
"Hey!" Navi snapped. She, as much as everyone else, could tell Blue didn't like her but he could at least try to hide it better. She liked all the boys just so. "You tol

To stay or leave.
Redefining love takes an hour
You may surrender or live
In eternal illusions.
Redefining the world takes a week.
Reduce it to particles
Devour them in the hastiest way
Ask yourself, is the result
Redefining yourself takes eternity.
No happiness dies in grief
No grief surrenders to joy
No joy resurrects in hostility
No hostility transforms into trust
No trust can be replaced by dishonesty.
No happiness dies in grief.
Your choice now clear,
Your mission complete.

All people were happy and celebrated. But something was wrong, Green wasn't there!

"We'll be there when we get there," Blue snarled in reply. If he had to listen to Red tell another joke or complain about how long they'd been at it, he'd kill the brat himself.
"Where are we trying to get to again?" Vio was just as tired as the rest of them; he could barely think straight. They didn't even know where they were, or how they got there, or if Shadow was following them, or how long it would take to get back to Hyrule Castle. He was tired of thinking and, admittedly, tired of listening to Red, Blue, and Green bicker. Red's jokes had started them with laughs, but he'd eventually given up because of Blue's sour attitude. Blue had then begun to start to tell his jokes only they were not-so-nice jokes ab

"Vio, dear," she cooed, standing up and swiftly moving down the steps to stop in front of him- an inch of two shorter than the violet-clad hero.
"Princess Zelda.. we need to talk."
The drinks had been passed around, nothing more than fruit juice, between the two, now seated across from eachother at a small table. Vio pursed his lips, looking from the drink to the princess. "Well?"
"Vio, are you sure you want to do this? The Sky-High Tower.. for all we know it isn't even standing any longer." She replied, gloved hands resting around her drink as she thought.
"Yes, I'm sure." He snapped abruptly, though his tone wasn't as edgy as it would have been, seeing as he was talking to royalty. Zelda looked up to him, her expression stern

And, as said teenager was traversing London's darkened, rain-slicked streets with a reckless disregard for the state of his bike or his passenger's spine, in a desperate attempt to prevent the death of Sherlock's niece, this could hardly be considered as the best of times . . .
The brakes howled as Banjo's dirt bike skidded to a halt at a curb, the battered Ford Fiesta following them screeching to a stop and missing them by all of six inches.
As the occupants of the Fiesta scrambled out, Sherlock tore the helmet from his head and gasped as the cool air hit him.

'How long,' She whispers,
Since the day bled out? Since
She'd been alone in the moonlight?
Broken wings folded neatly, she stood.
Bare feet on broken glass, blood
On the cold stone floor.
She looks up again, the shattered roof
Of the abandoned church.
The young priest shudders.
His words lose all meaning, fading
Into the echoes of her whimpers.
A thousand questions voiced at once.
She turns her head, black hair and lace
Falling gracefully around her pale face. With
A single tear drop of crimson blood.
She touches the place her wings once were.
'I...' Her words choke her. How long untill
She can fly again, laugh again, love again?
'I have fallen!' She hangs her head. Another tear.
A thousand discarded feathers mark her path to earth.
A thousand era's to death...
