I hope my mom gets this; she came from Taiwan, where I doubt they recognize Groundhog Day.

Anyhow, THANKS MOM

Technically she stabbed him in the solar plexus, but that's close enough, right?

So I was talking with ~deathviaflipflop yesterday and as she was talking about a text-based RPG she was playing, she posted these two excerpts for me:
"You may have bested my Royal Guard, little girl, but you'll never defeat ME!" he screams.

King Chronos lets out a might[y] scream as you plunge your Spork into his heart.

I was sorely tempted to illustrate what I saw in my mind's eye, but I overcame it and exercised complete control over my hand!

Oh wait, I didn't.

What's this? A horizontal 3 panel comic? "John has gone off his rocker!" you must all be shouting. But I assure you, all is well with me and my rocks. Besides, does this look like the work of a mad man?

Speaking of which, I used the same left-handed writing technique for the Turnip's speech, though a little more carefully as I wanted it to be more legible than gooky.

So anyhow, here you have it folks: the match you've all been waiting for. Finally we know who prevails between the mythical Man-eating Turnip and the fabled Turnip-eating Woman Who Can Hide Six Pounds of Hair Under a Baseball Cap. I'm sure you're all shocked, aren't you?

EDIT: No, I wasn't thinking of Lord of the Rings when I made this. I was actually thinking of Earthworm Jim, but...oh, just don't ask.

This is getting out of hand cat D:
I think the first panel is hilarious but mainly creepy.

But you know it's true.

Anyhow, I came up with this idea during my ethnomusicology class this morning since one of the pieces we were listening to was titled "Venus de Milo." One thing led to another.

This has probably got to be the most detailed 4-koma I've made in a while. That's how bad the homework I'm escaping is.

EDIT: Okay, it seems a few of you might need help understanding the joke. The girl and the guy in the 1st three panels are Venus and the Sphinx, respectively. It's a story being told by the museum custodian. I'm afraid my transition there might not have been easy to catch.

Read the next comic strip

I used to get excluded from a lot of things as a kid. Mainly from watching violent movies, staying up late at night and prison.
The hurt.
