of the past I left behind?
You make the faces in the wind
howl their stinging reprimand,
Why must you remind
of the light I failed to find?
Complete blindness without a spark
forged my chains within the dark,
Why must you remind
of the angel who was so kind?
The warmth of fire in her eyes
only hastened her burning demise,
Why must you remind
of the voice that would always grind?
The words of a snake that learned to bark
never failed to find their mark,
Why must you remind
of the soul that has resigned?
The one person who I cannot see
the one person who is me.
Freeze (PART 2)FreezeFreeze (PART 2)2 years ago in Drama More Like This
It is precisely eight o' clock in the morning.
He opens his eyes, which are bloodshot and seemingly pupil-less. The youth sits up and yawns, looking around. The walls are still yellow and soft. He still has these weird unbreakable bandages around his upper body.
Yet he still laughs every day, maybe ten too many times.
He sees a few faces at the glass on the side and his omniscient smile widens. He hasn't really seen anybody for a while.
The boy jumps up and dashes across the padded room towards the glass, crashing into it with a thud right in front of a girl with short hair. Her name is Nya.
Her sympathetic gaze rests on the white-clad, bruised, broken nindroid. She doesn't say anything. Her ebony bangs cover her eyes again, shielding them from the boy's sight.
He doesn't seem to feel the pain from the hit as he springs up and presses his face to the glass, almost as if trying to so desperately break out and maybe hug Nya.
She silently uses her finger to trace the long, jagged c

you annoying buffoon,
My life was more barren
than the sands of Dune.
And then you appeared,
Like a Doctor from space,
with your ridiculous clothes
and your comical face.
We're not like Edward and Bella
and their blather of fate:
We're like Sauron and Voldemort
deciding to date.
See, I'd travel to Mordor
with you any day.
We'd be like Frodo and Sam,
but a little less gay.
The Capitol couldn't stop us!
. . . that's totally a lie:
if we started rebellions
we'd probably die.
We'd feast in King's Landing
on lamprey and tarts
then murder our enemies
with thousands of farts
Our house words would NOT
be "stupid and fat"
though I like "moon of my life"
much better than "brat."
Whenever you're sweet
I think it's a fluke,
but if you were nice all the time
you wouldn't be Luke.
But I like you a lot,
even though you're a pain.
Like how Serenity's crew
still hasn't killed Jayne.
You give my life meaning,
you silly old man,
like the Joker needs Batman
for all of his plans.

Colorful clay prison walls touched
Preconceived notions clutched

Unlocking long buried emotion
Upward precious slice of sky
Blue mirage where all dreams fly
Sand sun heat conspire
Quenching tears consuming fire
Time demands a toll to pay
The passage begs find a way
Seek release from what I know
Find the peace of letting go

I did it again.
I forgot to speak ( up )
The words stuck to the roof
of my stuttering mouth.
( When I was fifteen I stuttered severely
just like my father did when he was young.
They told me to slow down and breathe.
Eventually it worked and I am stutter free )
My hands stopped reaching.
I decided to reinforce the
wall around my heart instead
of letting you soften it.
I do not think I can be enough for you.
So I sit here next to you wondering
who you're texting today...
What boy will claim you?
It's only a matter of time.
I like how we are right now.
It could be better - so much more -
but that's okay.
I don't want to lose you so I am content
to be close, but oh so far away.
And when you find love I will break
and slowly mend like I've done so many
You see, I'm an expert at pining and letting go.
So many have slipped through my unworthy -
trembling fingertips I lost count.
I watch you from across the table -
it could be as va

Because You were the first one to say hi
Ever since that,I fell into a trance
You gave me something that I lost
Someone to call a friend
You brang my smile back to my face
Also,I heard something that I thought I would never hear again
Although you're quite a mystery
It's those crazy antics I become to adore
The way your tails does that twitchy twitch
The harmless pranks you pull in Ponyville
While still caring for everyponies feelings
And throwing parties for them to cheer them up
All the daily,strange,things you do
Gives me a light to chase out of my darkness
A radiant glow of acceptance
That fills me up with glee
All thanks to you
I'm honored to call you a friend
Saving YouDear Jessie,Saving You3 years ago in Letters More Like This
If I could save you, I would.
If hands could mend failing lungs and piece together the shattered fragments of bones;
if fingers could sift through DNA and marrow, pull out the poison clogging up arteries,
siphon fluid bursting from synovial sacs and corroding joints;
if words could build you a bed in the nighttime sky,
string together stars and create a cavern in the crescent moon;
I would blindfold eyes and stitch shut mouths,
covers ears and tie tight hands.
If only I could.
Wait until your tongue is staining the inside of your mouth with lies;
wait until your bones have composed themselves and have been bleed dry;
wait until you're screaming from rooftops, grasping for the sky;
wait until you're holding water in your lungs like air;
wait until you're tearing eyes from their sockets,
popping ear drums and biting your lips raw and hemic.
Wait for then, because you'll know,
you'll know growing up has so much more to do with experience then

You are blind - but you see the world
much better than me.
You see colors I've never dreamed
and objects of beauty barely contained.
You peer deeper than any soul I know -
and I wish I had your "sight" -
your unending light that dulls
the sun and burns like blue fire.
You've lost your eyes but you
still understand the lay of the land -
the feeling of sand running through
your sensitive - delicate fingers.
Your other senses are sharp and
are able to pierce right to the bone -
to the very marrow of my being.
When you touch my face and try to trace
the shapes and curves of our embrace -
a single tear begins to fall
and I believe I've seen it all.
Our minds connect - our brains overlap -
and I am able to see your specific world -
the one you created out of a vivid imagination
and pieces of reality.
Like a fragmented dream - like a puzzle undone,
blended with the colors of a thousand sunsets in one.
I am overwhelmed and fall to my knees

The Final Battle - PokemonThe Final Battle - PokemonThe Final Battle - Pokemon4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The crowds are roaring, but I hear nothing. The only sound is the echoing beat of my heart thumping in my chest.
The final battle. It's finally here.
I have defeated the Pokemon Leagues of many regions, becoming the Champion in each.
It is time to begin. My opponent and I stand in the center of the arena. I look straight into his eyes as we shake hands.
I have defeated 32 Gym Leaders, and eight more Frontier Brains.
They are the eyes of my equal.
I have saved the world from numerous attempts at world domination, conquering many criminal organizations along the way.
I stand back, and so does he. I don't even look at my belt to see which Pokeball my hands rest on. I know each one by their place, their feel.
I have gained the powers of fire, ice and lightning from capturing the deities of each.
I send out my Pokemon, and he sends out his. Within moments we are given the signal to begin, and attacks of fire and lightning clash i
