LoK- An Innocent BeautyAmon tries to ignore the fact that the Avatar is just a young girl. At 17 years old, she knows nothing of the world around her, not really. She’s spent her youth sheltered from reality. She doesn’t understand how the bending she’s more than happy to show off is slowly destroying the world. How it makes benders feel superior to the common man, like they are above them. So many non-benders are oppressed each and every day, and the Avatar goes about with her cocky attitude and her Pro-Bending and her loose flames and rock and water like nothing is wrong.LoK- An Innocent Beauty3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
He hates her for it.
He hates how revered she is.
She’s just a foolish child and she’s done nothing to earn the people’s respect, much less his.
Not that there’s anything she could do aside from swear off bending forever and join his cause to eradicate it from the world. Amon actually cracks a smile at the thought, but he doesn’t quite laugh

a Korra and Bolin fanfic
Sometimes, Korra thinks she's the most fantastic bender in the world. Nothing will stop her, she will keep on learning and growing and getting better. It's inevitable. These egotistic feelings are crushed the moment Tenzin tries to teach her airbending. Tries. Korra stops thinking greatly of herself. She's no longer the amazing Avatar she once thought she was, no longer powerful. An Avatar who can't bend all four elements doesn't have the right to carry the name, so she tries not to take the title. Tries. Whenever she tends to forget about her failings which is, admittedly, quite often she uses her status to her liking. And then someone is always there to crush her. Mostly Tarrlok. (Sometimes Tenzin.)
No longer focusing on her bending, Korra acquires a new ego. Of being a fantastic person, one everyone should be lucky to befriend. Those thoughts get crushed even quicker than the ones about her bending, though this time
Broken Illusions: Legend of KorraBolin knew that if it had been him in Korra's place, he wouldn't have been able to even laugh hollowly like he was trying to do now. But laughing was how Bolin got along in life. No matter how grim the circumstances, he'd always been able to hide behind a mask of optimism. And circumstances were looking grim, indeed.Broken Illusions: Legend of Korra3 years ago in Drama More Like This
He simply could not imagine his life without bending. Even as a young street urchin traipsing after Mako everyday to survive, there had not been a time when he hadn't earth bended, and the thought of living without being able to bend was analogous as to the thought of living limbless. The thought of Korra having to go through that made goosebumps crawl up Bolin's arm, scaring him more than the thought of losing his own bending.
It had only been about twenty minutes since Korra had gone in to see Katara, but to Bolin it felt more like twenty hours.
Deep breath, Bolin, he commanded himself silently. Now, let's go over the plan once more. Scenario A:
Their EyesEverything around him appeared to have a haziness to it. And yet, everything was crystal clear. Complete and utter darkness engulfed him. And yet, light provided a tender warmth that encompassed his entire being. He knew he was dying or already dead. And yet, he never felt so alive.Their Eyes4 years ago in Drama More Like This
He could suddenly feel the air around him again; feel himself breathing slowly as though he had just come from a very peaceful dream. His eyes were opening slowly to a blurry yet colorful world rather than the dark, hostile place he was expecting. But now, that suddenly seemed like nothing but a horrible nightmare; a distant place that may never have been reality. Another life.
There was a little girl leaning on the edge of the bed as though she had been waiting for him to wake for all eternity. And yet, that seemed just fine with her: she would wait forever if she had to.
He wasn't entirely sure what was going on yet, deep down, he knew all that was happening to him. The little girl's eyes said everything.

Nick was very puzzled, he stared at the letter that received a week ago, stifled a groan, annoyed, and a little nervous, he would see his fellow survivors after 15 years.
The idea still bothered him a bit, it was very easy to say why, and it was by Ellis, the problem was not with Rochelle, Coach or Chris, the problem was Ellis, simply because they had the courage to explain why he disappeared over the years.
Upon receiving the note, emotions he felt for several years to bloom again, just finished reading the letter, took the phone and make a trip to Savannah.
Hard to believe, Nick was nervous, for other reasons, several questions hovering in his head.
As will be them?
How they look now?

He sat there trying to piece together the mess of horrors that made up the inside of his head. All he had left of his life outside of the program had now been eradicated, all he had left was ghosts, whispering and screaming away whilst they clawed away at his sanity.
He was so engulfed by his slow self destruction he didn't notice agent Maine walking into the room, nore did he notice him trying to talk to him until Michigan felt Maine's hand land on his shoulder. A Rather Long Walk
It has been one week since Lucas was branded.
He was ...restless. Very restless. He had had a terrible time all week with his temper, got a suspension from school and everything. He's working down in his lab. he didn't even say hi to anyone coming home that day, and just holed himself away silently.
He finally comes back up the stairs.
“...I'm going for a quick walk outside.” He says, heading for the door.
He's...not sure why he is.
He just needs to get outside.
Libs makes a face.
She’d... really rather him not; he's been so touchy lately.
But… Hey, maybe he need a nice walk outside, not all cooped up in the house or school all the time.
"Uh, yeah, alright. Be back soon?"
He stops at the door and nods a bit. " yup. " He sighs.
"I'm...sorry about snapping at you earlier mom. Love you..."
He doesn't break out the L word often. She smiles a bit.
"Man, you think I care...? You know it’s fine... Just, be back in time for dinner,

Kendra Shepard drummed her fingers on the back of the pilot's chair, substituting the cracked leather for the fact that she didn't know what else to do with her hands. Her emotions banded together to confuse her when she was with her pilot. Irritation perked up at the cracked sound of his voice but something else was there too, and she hesitated to give it a name because that name sounded a lot like weak at the knees.
She said, "But I have to give Wrex his Christmas present and he's busy running a clan, so we have to go to him."
"I don't think krogans even celebrate Christmas."
"Probably not, what with their planet not having Christianity, but I do. And a lot of aliens have adopted the gift-giving thing; he'll know what I'm talking about."
"What did you get him, anyway?"
"Some Earthling whiskey."
"Why Earth? I thought he liked the hard stuff."

I struggled to open my heavy eyelids as I felt my body move along a single path. My eyelids fluttered and a mumble escaped my lips as I felt cold dark water lapping at the base of my neck.
Was I floating...?
I was floating. Floating down a long dark river. My breath was coming low and shallow from my lips as I attempted to take in the strange atmosphere surrounding me. I shook my head quickly as I tried to keep my fluttering eyes open.
I want to sleep...
The emotion was wearing down on my mind like a heavy weight. Exhaustion and fatigue swamped my consciousness as I frowned and blinked my heavy eyes, fighting the desire with what little strength I had.
You must stay awake...
The gentle command was being whispered into my ear by some unseen presence. My breathing grew faster as I nodded slighting and t

Kuchiki Byakuya, being several thousand years old, spent a lot of his time thinking. After all, when one has centuries at one's disposal, one need not be hasty in one's decisions either. Therefore, it was in one of these concentrated meditation periods in which he was interrupted by the sound of someone choking. Opening his eyes and rising from his stone seat, Byakuya glanced around the peaceful garden.
Low bridges led from one area of the garden to another, leaving the plants untouched. Stepping up onto a ramp leading onto a particular bridge, the shinigami approached a certain taichou of the Gotei 13 who had moved on from choking, and seemed to be violently coughing over the side of the bridge whilst treating the rail to a strangling death grip. Without a word, the man shook his head slightly, and walked up behind Ukitake Juushiro. Pausing and surveying the other for a moment, he then raised his hands and neatly swept back the long hair out of the way.
The other taichou did not seem

Libs flies from the brush, tackling Angel to the ground.
Angel snarls, eyes still engulfed. She pulls a claw back to rip at her mother's face...
Inches away, claws sizzling. Something is screaming, inside, quietly, growing as she stares up into her mother's human eyes.
This isn't her.

So what if she's Apodemian?
She's Angel Not a devil. Not like this.

Libs cracks half a nervous grin, shaking a bit. "Heh, heh... that

"That's right." Back at the shady celebration, the same man that the remaining Straw Hats were talking to had continued on his ramble. Having asked the man why the headline from last week was related to this, the man boisterously explained to the group not truly realizing their true intentions.
