Masquarade, paper faces on parade. Hide your face so the world will never find you ♫♪

A quick sketch (30min) done on Photoshop CS3 of another dress I love, the mascarade dress from the Phantom of the Opera.

Fashionable silhouette is that of a mature woman, with large breasts and hips and tiny waist - in a shape of an S-curve. Blouses and dresses are full in front and puffed into a "pidgeon breast" shape. Women start to use make up again, after the Victorian Era when it was viewed as "impolite"

I started this painting back in Dec 5, 2010! It feels great to finally finish it. I idolized Vivien Leigh when I was young. I can't believe it took me this long to paint her portrait.
