Watch while it destroys me.
As it wraps its hands around my throat,
my eyes are pleading...
So thrilled for you,
you and your happy ending.
Even if it means I lost my company,
and now I'm stuck here alone.
Alone in my misery.
But I wont dwell,
and I like to pretend I'm well.
So I grab my guitar and head to the ocean.
I'll stand in the sand,
and write you a love-song.
I'll sing it loud
as the waves crash over me.
Saltwater disguises the crying.
And I can make you believe,
that I am not heartbroken.
Not that it matters.
in the end it's just pain.
Whiskey Laden DreamsBitter eyes and tears might taint a drink, but sitting in this bar alone with your stool pulled out next to me, and the Martini poured regardless of your presence still brings a smile to my face; despite the taste. I'm having a whiskey myself; dry. Yes, I know I don't drink, but every once in a while you need whiskey to solve an intricate problem, and mine is the distinct lack of alcohol in my life.Whiskey Laden Dreams3 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
There are people everywhere and it amazes me how none of them are you, from the woman in the black dress coming down the stairs to the signing couple in the corner, laughing silently. They're not you at all, and that's what's amazing in an ocean of coal you're a marble pebble, smooth to the touch and pleasant to the eye, and you don't leave me scarred.
I'll kick back the tumbler for now, refilling your drink when necessary, despite you never having it. The waitress will look at me with tired eyes and concerned words, but I'll insist I'm drinking with a friend, whilst that sad g

As I look up into the starry sky
I see a ball of light that catches my eye
It lights up the trees and the ground below
It is the same as the full moon from weeks ago
Just then a rustle in the bushes from up ahead
The sound of a creature who saw us and fled
My allies and I spring to action and give chase
We all run at an even, steady pace
Dodging and darting throughout the trees
We hear the rustles carried through the breeze
Our pray that we are chasing trips up ahead
Within seconds we are upon it and its dead
I take another look up at the full moon
and I let out a howl through the night of June
I speak to the other wolves in the pack
We are wolves so you deer better watch your back

You're jetting away
(Another set of feelings
That I'm mailing your way)
On a paper plane
I called your name
(I scribbled out all of my feelings
Tell me you feel the same)
We fly in circles
And fall onto solid ground
A silly merry-go-round
I never imagined
To see you once again
On a plane was hapless
The meeting was simple
The simplest of meetings
You're gone and I understand that
So then I'm giving up
So then I've had enough
Like a star
You're jetting away
(Another set of feelings
That I'm mailing your way)
And in a small machine
Built for one, I'll bring you me
(I tried giving you my feelings
Don't know if they can reach)
I let it go
Like a boat
And I let it roam
And like I did long ago--
I knew we were touching
The end of our love and
I knew that it would take
More than hope to find it
The meaning was simple
The simplest of meanings
You're gone and I understand that
We'll never be
I know that we're touching

"Are you sure this is going to work?" spoke a young male, with black thickly curled hair, and a face masked by safety glasses. "I mean this wolf is just a pup, is this humane?" There was a nervous tone to his voice. It sounded as if it shook, just a tad, as he spoke.
A man chuckled. He was a large man, quite the opposite of the petite young man standing beside him. His laugh was hearty. These two men were standing in a lab, next to a table in which a young wolf sat. The room was lit brightly, almost too bright, and the room's walls were a unstained white color. Everything in that room seemed to be of a white color.
"Yes, of course it'll work. It'll simply create a stronger wolf." He injected a squirming wolf pup. Its fur was a thick black color, and her chest had a small white diamond on it. Yellow eyes pierced everyone in its vision. The pup gave a small whimper but quickly stopped, and wagged his tail

I will forget,
Even though I do not wish for that,
I will forget,
These feeling's I have harbored for you,
Will be forgotten,
So that you can love her forever more,
But even so,
Please don't forget me,
I wish to stay friends,
So please don't treat me bitterly,
For this selfish reason I harbor,
Because I will forget,
But please stand by me,
Even if we are just friends.

You just cant see it
as its hiding in my mind.
Slithering through my veins
as it tars my withered lungs.
There are monsters
but not in closets
or hidden under the bed.
They are the ghosts
of past regrets
and scars left unhealed.
I just don't show it
as I smile to let you know
that I am 'ok'
even if on the inside
I am not.
That you will notice
and leave me

Everyone can post status' about 9/11, saying how sorry they are and that it was a horrible moment in time. Yet no one but those who were there truly understand. They can say their hearts go out to all those who have died and are mourning, but what about those who have yet to be confirmed alive? No one really knows what happened this day ten years ago, except those who experienced it. And to those people, I say this:
You stayed strong,
When everything went wrong,
I'm proud of you all,
The ones who survived the towers fall.
As we sit her ten years to the day,
The reality of it remains hard to say.
Many lives were forever lost,
Many damages made with an endless cost.
Many people lost their fathers,
Some lost their sisters and brothers,
Some lost friends, all people who worked there;
Some even lost their only-visiting mothers.
But regardless of what we know happened and what we'll never understand,
It's today we give those who need it an open hand.

'This is the most beautiful painting in all the world.'
I was surprised, it's true,
To find that the painting
Wasn't of you.
I'm never sure if
I should touch you -
One thing you must never do
Is touch a masterpiece,
Lest you mar it
With your own inadequacy.

It is the liquid that pours after skin meets the blade.
The glow that appears on embarrassed cheeks,
And the hues that emerge when the sunset peaks.
It sounds like the crackle of a wood-burning fire.
When the boom of two quickening heart beats transpire.
And the billowing voices of a church-singing choir.
It tastes of the reddest and rarest of meat,
Like those tiny heart-shaped cinnamon sweets.
And lingers and burns with a chilli peppers heat.
It feels like the deepest roots of real pain.
And the lowest point of desperate shame.
It's the passion and power deep within your heart
And the inspiration that creates all beautiful art.

It was a hot summer day when I first saw him. I had just barely moved into our cozy traditional styled home. We came from the city. My cousin had came to stay with us for the summer.
“(Name)!” My cousin came running to me crying. He looked terrified. “(Name)! There’s a wolf over there! I saw it! It was fighting a wild boar!” He continued. “Then leave it alone.” I said while putting my sweet strawberry ice cream popsicle in my mouth so I could pause my mp3 and hear what my cousin had to say. “B-But it was so close to me! What if it tried to hurt us!” He yelled pointing to the forest. “It won’t, if it does we will just get inside. And you know you’re not supposed to be in the forest!” I said scolding him. He sniffled and sat down next to me. A few seconds late my cousin spoke up again. “You won’t tell uncle, will you?” He asked giving me the puppy eyes. “Rye, I won’t, no-“I h

I have fallen,
I`ve laid broken,
I know what it`s like,
To feel you`ve lost the fight.
But though these things happen,
I want you to know,
That I will try to show you,
How much you mean to me.
Friendship is one of the most important things in the world,
I never want to lose our friendship,
I will not abandon you,
I will not leave.
Though I have stumbled, fallen, shattered,
I will try to carry you through,
Show you I care,
I`ll be with you through it all.
You will not be broken forever,
You can make it through this,
Fake friends come and go,
True friendship lasts a lifetime.

Well, you're happy. What are you hiding?
You've got to be hiding something.
Well, you're sad. You must be emo.
An emo attention seeker.
Well, you're popular. So you must be a jerk.
Why would anyone like you in the first place?
Well, you're quiet. You must be a nobody.
Nobody at all.
Well, you're you.
What else could go wrong?

It's shaking off my tension
It's called being alive
The answers to my questions
Repeating; Have I mentioned
I lied? Don't like the way I'm being tried
A lonely heart is what I'm slowly aiming for
Forget what you see; leave it to me
I'll lead you there
It's not about the money
But the world doesn't agree
A bribe, a lie, a trick
We'll hide the truth
And they won't see
As long as you have changed your mind
Your soul belongs to me
We have got no pride
And no honor to be seen
"A little; just a little"
A lie or just a riddle?
Appeal, I feel
But only if it's real
"It works in this direction;
Let's take another exit"
You cheat, I see
You're not the one for me
The happiness of people
Is such a fickle thing
To bend and break
The give and take
Is too much for me
Love is just the gum
That we replace without a care
Had your heart forever
Now another day is here
The puzzle pieces
Of our life will rarely make a fit
But we take our chances
And go along with
700I read a story once about a man who had six PhD's in six different fields. I don't remember what fields they were, but I was impressed - that much I remember. As I read on, it became clear that the reason he found so much success was his severe OCD. He was so consumed by the disorder that he read each page of each textbook hundreds of times. And I remember thinking it was crazy, insane, psychotic. But I guess it worked for him. So I forgot about the man with the six PhD's and the torturous perfectionism that some call "disorder."7003 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

I didn’t before;
Things that I
Just can’t ignore.
Kids getting shot
For the colour of their skin,
Loving being treated
As though it’s a sin.
Sexism running like blood
Through the veins of the media,
Kids killing kids
In High School Hysteria.
People dying instead of
Being who they are,
Children getting shot down
As they reach for the stars.
Faith forming the target
For society’s arrow,
You’re either in too deep
Or you’re way too shallow.
The faithful using the Prince of Peace
To excuse their hatred,
And yelling ‘terrorist!’
At the followers of Mohammed.
Women walking the streets at night
With fear in their hearts,
Men being told to ‘man up’
When their soul is in parts.
Children starving to death
In the land of plenty,
Bigots with medieval views
In the twentieth century.

Dream a dream every now and then
As crazy as they seem they always make sense
And though I know it foolish
They feel like part of my life
A human living double time
In the dream skin of a wolf.
Snow crushed silently
Under thick white paws
Mine as it so happens.
Always alone now
Running a perimeter that no longer has a leader
There used to be others
Falling into step all around me
But most of the pack is dead and gone now.
Suddenly a branch snaps
My ruff shakes as I turn toward the sound
Finding myself face to face with a blonde wolf.
I go in for the kill
This is pack land
Pack or no pack.
Jaws snap furiously
The intruder ducking and weaving
Pushing hard against my chest
Jaws snapping at nothing but air.
For this is truly no intruder
This is someone of days gone by
This is my friend thought dead and gone
Return to her family.
The biting and bloodshed
Turns to play and tears
A white wolf
A blonde wolf
A pack that never again will be
What we areAnthro ArtistWhat we are8 years ago in Editorial More Like This
Anthro artists are anyone who draws anthropomorphic art. Anthro is defined as something that is essentially non-human (including inanimate objects) that has been given human characteristics, such as having an almost-human bone structure.
Furries are people who have an affinity toward the anthro style of art. Furries usually identify themselves with a fursona an anthro version of themselves. They are a fandom (like anime fans are otaku). There are many levels of the furry fandom: It extends from simply being an artist, to wearing fur-suits, and attending fur-cons. However, this is not limited to furries, it extends to scalies and avians - people who identify themselves with a winged or scaly anthro characters. It should also be noted that while the above is correct, Furry, Avian, and Scaly are just fandoms. A lot of people in the anthro community, while falling un
