Dan promised me three things on the day he told me he loved me. One, that he'd stop trying to cut himself, two, that he'd stop trying to purge and three, that he'd never, under any set of circumstances, weigh himself. Those were the three things that were eating away at the person I loved more than anything in the world, and I needed him to stop because he was already perfect. He didn't need to do any of those things. And weighing himself only got him down, for some reason.
Thankfully, Dan kept those promises. Well, for a while. He relapsed once into purging, and while I was disappointed, it wasn't at him. It was at the fact that he thought he needed to do it to be beautiful. He could never accept that he was the most perfect, beautiful person I'd ever seen. Nevertheless I told him I'd be there for him, which was true.
But one day during the week, I noticed some things. One of the many things was that Dan was in a way happier mood. Which yeah, would have been absolutely
Every reason to hate youElissa stepped to the bank of the river and took a deep breath of the cool, clean air, closing her eyes and feeling the gentle night breeze caress her face and ruffle her hair. She had needed to step away from camp and clear her head. Behind her, she could faintly hear Oghren and Anders arguing back at the campfire, followed by a loud crashing sound. Velanna's shrill voice suddenly rose in anger and Elissa sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She was getting so weary of this. She missed Alistair and the others, but her templar had sacrificed himself to protect her and the rest of the world from the Archdemon and left her here alone, to carry on the Warden tradition. She would continue to do her duty, but it was with a heavy heart. She had lost so much, her parents, her nephew Alistair. A vision of the tall, golden-haired warrior crossed her mind; of the night he had told her he could not imagine life without her. And yet, now he was gone and she was the one forced to face lifEvery reason to hate you5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

You see, I’ve exhausted my guilt complex, raking myself over the coals, trying hard to walk on water for everyone, pretending like I could ever be someone’s salvation. I was never your Messiah; do not let me martyr myself on your altars.
Do not let me rewrite history; do not forget the war crimes with which I was never rightly accused. I spent half a century building fortresses to keep you out of paradise; I was always leaving you without breadcrumbs in the forest. Do not believe me when I tell you this was romance.
And now that it feels like we’re talking in icebergs, loaded question and answer games of which so much is hidden, do not crash into me for deeper meaning. I could sink you, boy, I could crush your sails.
Do not let me sink my stilettos into your chest. Burn the ashes of the bridges I torched with careless cigarettes and late-night calls in which the liquor whispered, “I never loved you.”

Unattainable Illusions +Ch. 1+"Well well...Look at what the cat drug in." A cold voice chimed from the far end of the dark room. The boy slightly opened one eye to be face to face with what appeared to be another homunculus. This one was pale and long stringy green hair; he wore a tight black shirt that stopped at his chest with a matching black skort, the oroborus symbol was tattooed just below the skort on his right leg.Unattainable Illusions +Ch. 1+9 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"You look like someone I used to know..." Envy said with a small smirk. He pushed his thumb under the boy's chin and lifted it up so he could get a good look at his face. "A man I once killed perhaps...? And to think I could never see you as pathetic as I once did when I blew your stomach to pieces!" He said, cackling. "No...But you're not the same boy...Are you? Though that face makes my stomach squirm...The thought of helping you makes my blood curl." He snorted. Envy then reached in his pockets as he drew out a few small, blood red stones.
The boy looked at them sickly, not saying a word. "Eat

Soft white cherry blossoms slowly fell like snow during that fateful night
A couple, a woman in white and a man in black, stood face to face with a lady with silver hair and golden eyes.
"Chiyo-sama, before you seal us away promise to us that you will watch over of them."
The silver-haired lady slightly nodded and used an incantation which made the couple disappear from sight.
The lady then picked up an old box on the ground, covered with cherry blossoms. She stared at it for a while and looked up to the solemn dark sky

“Are you afraid of dying?”
I am anxious as I scurry through ruined buildings. I am terrified as a barrage of red and black explodes above me. I am horrified, petrified and all of the above.
Red lightning rips apart the building to my left. Scorched concrete hurtles towards my fragile frame. Time slows.
“You will never succeed.”
The stone shatters against the doorway; it misses me by an inch. My heart races; beating ever faster. I have to get to the upper level!
“Get out of there!”
I make a mad dash for the stairs. It’s a scramble as bolts of crimson lightning tear through the rafters. The burning roof falls to pieces around me.
“This is pointless”
Up the stairs and I ascend to the higher level. Out into open air, I feel the lash of the

Why have you fallen so?
Your wings are bloody
Your heart has stopped beating
Your Body has gone cold
And all that is around you has withered and died,
Oh angel of light
Do not fear the darkness around you
When it starts to take you over
For your light is no more
Oh angel of light
I shall save you from the darkness
I shall hold you close to me
Warming you up
As your heart starts to beat again
In rhythm with mine
Oh angel of light
Your Wings are now clean
From The waters of creation
The waters I poured over you
Washing away all the blood
From your wings of light
Oh angel of light
You are not in darkness no more
You are fallen no more
The darkness that was over you
Has gone far away from you
Oh angel of light
Why do you still stay?
When you are not fallen no more
Why do you stay?
When you can go back to heaven
Oh angel of light
why are you still with me?

Stars Amidst the Tears
I saw her that day, in the overcrowded orphanage, sitting by herself in a corner. Her head hung low as she hid herself as best she could underneath an old, tattered cloak. She made no indication of noticing me as I slowly made my way toward her from across the room, but I could sense her small heart begin to race. Looking back, I realized how threatening I must have appeared; fully dressed in my gear and my rifle in my hand. I told her that everything was going to be alright as I a sat down beside her. She said nothing. I lifted my hand to reassure her. She quickly scooted away. I heard the sound of bells as I looked down at her. In her haste, she mistakenly moved her cloak and I was able to catch a glimpse of the edge of her tail before she could realize it. When she saw she quickly hid it away. I reached out to her a second time. She didn't have any more room to move away. She grew

You are the lie,
The unsolvable maze,
I'm trapped inside,
Will I laugh?
Will I cry?
The loneliness is the feeling I deny,
Although the exit is before my eyes,
I cannot see it,
For the lies have blinded me,
Even though I waited for you,
I still can never escape,
For you have bound me here by these chains,
Inside this maze we call life

And never let go,
For the warmth I feel from you,
Sooth's my very being,
For you are the one I want to see every day,
For you are the one I wish to speak to,
For you are the one I feel calm next to,
For you are the one I wish to make smile,
For you are the one I wish to keep happy,
For you are the one I wish to never make cry,
For you are the one I am willing to give my soul,

Telling you how I feel,
For your happiness is special,
When you are Happy,
I am happy,
So I shall move along this road with you,
For I am and will always be yours,
And You are mine as well,

"How long does it take to get a glass of water?" my husband calls from the living room.
"Sorry, I'm coming." I resist the urge to rinse the glass a few more times. Cleanliness is not a factorit's the numbers. The completion. The habit. I take a sip of my water and force myself to stop asking if I should just run the water one more time.
I join Sam in the living room and sit in my usual spot: the center recliner. He always lies on the couch to watch TV. It works.
He hits the play button, and we watch ten minutes of reality before the demon sneaks into my mind again. This time I see fire. It sparks from the dryer, blisters the walls, and rushes tsunami-like towards my son's room. It licks at my daughter's curtains.
I see them lying in their beds, unaware of the destruction. I see walls of flame keeping me from them.
"I have to go to the bathroom," I say. Sam pauses the show. The beast in

After the initial shock, the mercenary and angel begin to think that there's something... different about their daughter. Ike's the first to realize it; Pit takes a while, but he too senses something unusual about her.
It has nothing to do with her appearance; with long sapphire hair, bright eyes, and the same strange garb as her brother, there's no doubt that she's theirs. She likes to run around, as well; she and Pike will dash all through the mansion before their parents even realize it's entirely too quiet-- or too loud, depending on how long it takes them to figure it out.
For a few weeks, Ike and Pit wonder what it is that sets them off...
The mercenary is the first to realize that she's never once spoken to them.

Cameron cleared his throat as he strained his weight against the handcuff, leaning as far forward as he could manage.

He felt stupidly anxious as he tried to rouse the other passenger as gently (yet urgently) as possiblebut tried to convince himself it was just the result of his situation. Waking up handcuffed to a train would rattle anyone.
Cameron didn't receive a response. He couldn't even see the kid's shoe anymore. Heaving an exasperated groan, Cameron fell back down roughly against the wooden seat, slamming his head against the back of it. He wa

That's because I don't think they taste good, but I still eat them whenever I can.
They ask why I'm eating them, and I reply, "Because tomatoes are my favorite food."
They always look confused. They ask, "How are they your favorite food if you don't like them?"
I smile and say, "I never said I didn't like them. I just don't like to eat them. I really want them to taste better to me, though."
At this point they just knit their eyebrows. I have not answered any of their questions. I have simply supplied new ones. My smile grows.
"Who said you had to pick your favorite food based on taste?"
Then they give up on understanding me and change the subject.
