This is somehow odd as it begun with a b/w ref and obviously it didn't turn b/w at all... A living proof that i see colors everywhere! Even where they don't exist at all...
Thing is i didn't want to do a b/w piece,my goal was to use a low profile-monochromatic pallet so to bring character and depth (in my point of view) to a celeb portrait.I am well aware that this came with a price as now my girl here doesn't look exactly like Hilary Duff, i can assure you though, she was my ref.
Yeah...well... Usually i love to dig in a good skin texture,re-invent all kind of pores, freckles, wrinkles, pimples and such. It didn't happen here.I kept everything down to the minimal, although i am certainly NOT the zen master, but some times less is more.
"Simplicity" doesn't belong to me,she will travel to her final destination soon,to his part of the world. She is my spiritual child though and i am proud of her and she will keep a place in my heart.
