Open letter to MLP fandom about alicorn TwilightDear bronies and pegasisters,Open letter to MLP fandom about alicorn Twilight10 months ago in Letters More Like This
I'm a pegasister since the beginning of season 2. I'm a Brazilian 25-years-old teacher and My Little Pony gave me many wonderful moments. It also gave me hope that there are still cartoon developers that care about what they are teaching to children, today, specially little girls. As a teacher, I know very well how children and teenagers deperately need good role models and optimistic lessons while they build their own personalities.
Since this whole "Twilicorn" business started, however, I started to feel worried. MLP fandom has always looked to me like a healthy one, with its motto of "Love and Tolerate". I always thought that the ones inside it knew very well how is it to suffer prejudice. That the bronies and pegasisters out there know very well that you shouldn't judge something before knowing it. Then, when I was full of hope that a new way to make a fandom was blooming, what many bronies and pegasisters started to do?
They judged alicorn Twilight be
WTG 12 - Welcome To The Herd"Booo! Get off the stage!" The brown, spiky haired stallion yelled. His words were echoed by those around him. They could be heard amidst the murmur of the crowd, which had taken a turn for the worst.WTG 12 - Welcome To The Herd2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"When you first came out onto the stage, you described your act as a 'unique, one-of-a-kind experience' and you've certainly lived up to that. But, if I were you, I would add 'appallingly dreadful' to that description. Sorry, it's a 'no' from me."
"It's a 'no' from me as well."
"Your act had so much potential. I hate to do this, but I have to go with 'no' as well."
The little filly burst into tears as she ran off of the stage.
"She's got a problem with me?" said the mare looking into the camera. "She says that I can't cook?"
The scene cuts to a clip of the mare arguing with another mare in a kitchen area.
"The recipe calls for 23 grains of salt!" yelled the other mare, "You added 24! Am I the only pony around here that knows how to cook?!"
"Maybe if you stoppe

Twilight was glaring at Rainbow Dash, who were becoming nervous and began swe
MonsterI loved her. More than anything in all of the world. I brought her a bundle of roses that fateful day One in every color mind you, because she always loved all those beautiful, swirling colors. My heart was palpitating as I went to her, my eyes glittering and tail whipping in anticipation.Monster2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I gave them to her, those colorful roses. She looked into my eyes and called me a terror, an abomination A monster. She slammed those fragile roses to the ground, and stomped on them with one petite hoof. I'll always remember her face. The delicate features and contours of her face twisting up in anger and ferocity. Her silky main fluttering behind her, eyes narrowed into thin slits. She left me, with the broken petals scattered across the ground Much like my broken heart.
She thought I was a monster? If she wanted to believe that That's what I would become. A ferocious, conniving MONSTER!
I studied in the arts of disharmony. I was a fantastic draconequus magicia

The Birds and the Bees
The clean, cool stream just off the edge of Sweet Apple Acres washed away the troubles of the day. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo had had an exhausting set of adventures and the refreshing dip was just what they needed. The clear waters washed away the heat and the sweat, and the tree sap, of another long day of play. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had gotten an early start, terrorizing no fewer than a dozen ponies before noon. Their efforts had been unsuccessful, but enjoyable. Scootaloo's stomach rumbled, and her friends' stomachs soon followed. They hadn't eaten the 'food' they had made around lunch time. Silently, the three of them nodded to each other and understood it was time to get something in their bellies.
"Hi girls! What can I get for you? Do you need cookies? Cake? Cupcakes?"
Secret Tub Fun Twilight trotted into her bathroom and set a small bucket down on the lacquered wood counter. "Finally, a night alone to unwind and enjoy some me time," she said with a relieved sigh. "Spike's helping Apple Bloom and her crusaders study, and everyone else is occupied with Pinkie's party." She pulled a box of scented candles out of the bucket and placed them strategically around the small bathroom, then lit them one by one with her horn. "And no studying tonight, so it's just going to be me, Mr. Bing Cropsby, and a nice, looooong soak."Secret Tub Fun3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Her horn sparkled as she began running the bath and poured a generous helping of foaming bath salts Luxury had recommended her. As it ran, she began unpacking her tub. A record player first, with the old crooner's melodious tunes already loaded. Secondly, more candles, which she arranged into arcane designs on the sink. Next was Spike's poster of a dragon's glaring eye, which she tucked up into the bathroom's only wind

Twilight and Spike arrive at The Crystal Empire, and make their way towards The Crystal Palace.
Twilight: (breathes in the air) "It's always great to come back to The Crystal Empire."
Spike: "Yeah. (hesitating) Why are we here again? What did Princess Cadance say?"
Twilight: "It wasn't clear. The letter was short. She needed us urgently back in the Crystal Empire for something. I guess we'll find out when we meet her."
Spike: "This won't involve me falling from a great height again, will it?"
Twilight: "(giggles) I don't think so, Spike."

School Reunion - Part 3"Well well well, what have we here? Goin' out for a lil' stroll Apple Bloom?"School Reunion - Part 32 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Apple Bloom recoiled at the voice behind her, slowly turning with a look of guilt on her face. She had risen as dawn was breaking; her bindle neatly packed and ready to leave, but had stalled at the gates of Sweet Apple Acres for too long. She wasn't sure how long she'd stood, staring at the threshold, afraid to cross that invisible line that would take her away from home. The entrance to the farm had turned from a welcoming, happy place to an invisible barrier which she could not bring herself to cross. There would be no going back once she had left.
And now it was too late.
Applejack stood behind her, eyes narrowed as she glared at her sister, shaking her head slowly. "Ah'd never have thought it. Sneakin' off like a selfish lil' filly! Ah said no you can't go, an' you do it anyway! Where's the loyalty?"
Apple Bloom's shock at being caught out slowly dissipated into anger as she squared up to Applejack, l

Sunburst lingered in a dusty, long unused room of his home, revisiting memories from nearly twenty years before. His golden-yellow coat and red mane caught the light of the setting sun and bathed the wall to his left in yellow and pink. Against the same wall was a dresser, on top of which sat several framed pictures of a mare whose coat and mane colors mirrored those shining on the wall.
The scenes in the pictures varied. One was of the mare stretching her pastel yellow wings and looking on the viewer with a smile. Another as she ran a brush through her pink mane, one eye focused towards the camera and a pleased smile on her face. She was clearly very pregnant and was practically radiating love. At a glance one could tell it had been taken in the same room, a brush next to the frame with several long strands of pink hair further proof; it was the same brush from the picture. Several other photos were clustered with the rest, all of the same mare. There was not a single p
Shipping and Handling Ch. 13Dinky Doo wasn't sure what to feel. For one thing, she was kind of afraid of the unicorn standing only a few feet away, constantly barking threats and insults even while the magic held her down.Shipping and Handling Ch. 132 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
On the other hoof, she wasn't listening to half of what the malicious mare said anyway, because she was too busy being proud and amazed at herself for suddenly being able to perform a true spell; she'd never even attempted such a thing before, and now here she was, locked in a paralyzing face-off with a unicorn with far greater age and experience.
But in that same vein came a large dollop of confusion. Why, exactly, was she able to do what she was doing right now, with no prior experience? Not only had she replicated her first spell, but she was able to use that knowledge to analyze Glow and produce a whole new spell.
Dinky wasn't stupid; it was pretty obvious that this kind of thing didn't happen to normal fillies.
What are you doing, wondering about that?
Sunset - Epilogue: Redemption Someday, in the distant future, the events of that day would have two different names, depending on who you asked, or what book you read. To most of Equestria, it would be known as 'The Battle at Canterlot', while in the small town of Ponyville, it would be known as 'The Reckoning.' Neither of the names chosen for the whole fiasco were wrong, but neither did they get across how seriously it impacted history. For the first time, a commoner was put into a position of absolute authority over the country.Sunset - Epilogue: Redemption3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
A couple of days after that pivotal event found the new princess cooped up in her old dorm room, hidden as best as she could under the covers. The sudden increase in size, and lack of new blankets left the goddess exposed to the bitterly warm glow of the sun... her sun. She fought the temptation to just turn it off and stop that tantalizingly warm orb from haunting her with the memories of that day: a day she would never forget.
Why had she done that? W

The bulky brown Pegasus slammed his front hooves down on the desk so hard, Ditzy Doo feared it would split in two. He positively glowered at the grey pegasus, his face just inches from hers.
"I I'm sorry, boss " Ditzy mumbled, shrinking back a bit. "Uh it won't happen again?" Her apology was phrased more like a question.
"Oh, right. Sure. That's believable " the larger pegasus snorted, twisting his black baseball cap haphazardly. "I mean, what are the odds of Ditzy Doo screwing up another delivery? I mean, that never happens..."
Ditzy winced at the harsh sarcasm in her superior's voice. Still, she managed to work up the nerve to ask the inevitable question.
"So " she began, trying her best to focus both her eyes on the angry pony in front of her. " Um how much are you gonna' dock my pay this time?"
