She is kinda unmotivated Her paws just move up and down ( sorry for uploading it in the fractal arts category, but the animation category disappeared and this is the only place where i could submit a gif )
"In 1989, the coelacanth was declared an endangered species by the international community. Their current world population is believed to be fewer than 500 animals. This means that without protection, this prehistoric animal that has survived for over 350 million years could be wiped out in our lifetime. " [link] More info on these guys: [link]
Second in my REAL endangered animals Stamp Series. Thanks for the suggestion ! Comments with suggestions for other endangered animals to give credit for are welcome! Previous Stamps in this series: [link] Planning to do: Audubon's Crested Caracara, Kakapo, or Hawaiian Crow next!
Let me know if this is hard to read or too fast. This is my first animated stamp.
If someone wants to make it a PLZ account that would be awesome! Just send me the link so I can add it here for the non subscribers. (myself included)
Edited: 5/18/10: Flipped picture, slowed down text, tweaked colors of text and fonts.
Edited: 5/19/10: Fixed the hangover of the word endangered on the edge of the stamp. And the weird 2 pixels that decided to become visible instead of transparent.
from :[link] "The endangered black-footed ferret is a member of the weasel family. It is the only ferret native to North America - the domestic ferret is a different species of European origin and has been domesticated for hundreds of years - and has a tan body with black legs and feet, a black tip on the tail and a black mask. It has short legs with large front paws and claws developed for digging. Its large skull and strong jaw and teeth are adapted for eating meat."
"Black-footed ferrets once numbered in the tens of thousands, but widespread destruction of their habitat and exotic diseases in the 1900s brought them to the brink of extinction. Only 18 remained in 1986. Today, they are making a comeback, with approximately 750 black-footed ferrets in the wild, and another 250 living in captive breeding facilities (2008)."
"Endangered Species Act (ESA): Almost all populations of black-footed ferrets except those listed as non-essential experimental populations are listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act."
These are the cub version of the cats im using in my new , Cats Ties: The Maya Tails. (and yes, i meant to spell tails as in a cats tail.) Not sure if the names going to stick though. Snow Leopard- Maigar: She's the smartest of all the Cat Lords. Her feminine features and her brilliant blue eyes could nock any man to his feet. She prefers the gentle side of life but would never hesitate to join in a battle. Controls: North Stone: Sapphire Messenger- Dove- Maldor Lion- Quintar: He is the High Lord of all the Cat Lords. No one opposes his law if he makes a stand. He is very fair and see's to it that all ideas are attended too. Controls: South Stone: Ruby Messenger- Eagle- Nagket Panther- Litharn: The Shadow of the Cats, Litharn is quite stealthy. He can be in your worst nightmares or your best daydreams. He is said to have an alliance with the grim reaper but no one knows for sure. Controls: West Stone: Emerald Messenger- Crow- Grizgel Tiger- Shabtev: This warrior would defend his honor and family/friends with his life. He values the morals of others and does not judge lightly. Take caution when speaking to him directly. Controls: East Stone: Amber Messenger- Falcon- Bhreltoc All messengers are simply a friend/servant/helpers to the Cat Lords. Each bird has mostly the same disposition as their masters. I hope to have good progress on my book soon. I havent yet quite decided if im going to post the draft on here or not. I guess just keep a look out.
