Shakespearean Quotations (EnglandXReader)Browsing the books on the library shelves, words and couplets and sonnets swirling around your mind as your brain tried to make sense of the required reading. As a freshman in college aiming to become a biologist, being forced to take a semester of Shakespeare of all things seemed like a complete waste of your valuable time. It also didn’t help that nothing made an ounce of sense to you.
Your eyes fell upon a collection of nicer-quality paperbacks nestled amongst the thick hard covers, bright colors and bold titles identifying them as some of Shakespeare’s more popular works. Upon closer inspection you realized that they weren’t necessarily books at all, but manga volumes.
This was the perfect solution! You would still be reading the actual plays, but the drawings would put them into context and all of your problems would be solved! You withdrew Romeo and Juliet, the play you were supposed to read this week, and began to walk away, but an accented voiced stoppe

You paused in the middle of the road, panting heavily, hands on your knees. The first few drops of rain tainted the even tone of the asphalt, and slowly the memories came back to you, each one adding new weight to your soul.
Practically tearing into your jean pocket, you unwound your iPod and jammed the earbuds in, randomly selecting a song without really looking at the title. You just wanted to forget, to get away, anything. But the first hauntingly beautiful notes did anything but that. The rain fell faster.
She never slows down.
You never did. With everything that had happened, slowing down simply wasn’t an option anymore.

You twirl about happily on the dance floor, a soft, sweet ballad flowing through the ball room. Your long dress brushes the polished stone with each movement. You and your partner glide about, not a care in the world. He spins you gracefully, and you land in the arms of another. This man is much older than you, and much nicer dressed. The music stops and people clap, meaning there will be a short intermission before the next song starts.
The man before you bows slightly, and you curtsy. "Good evening, (Name)." he greets, his words slurred from wine.
"Good evening, your Majesty." you reply, not wanting to anger the king.
He smiles at you and pulls you aside from the dancing. "May I have a word with you?"
"Yes, your Majesty." It would be complete suicide to refuse the king anything he wants!
He leads you out to the garden, where red roses bloom happily in the summer night. You walk through the maze of bushes, silent, as was expected of anyone in the king's presence.

It was your favourite day of the week; Friday. Tonight you were supposed to go to your best friend England's house for movie night, just like always. You'd been friends for roughly eight years, maybe a bit longer. He was always there for you when you needed him.
You had started to take a liking to your old friend, who knows the reason. There was just something about him that made you... Happy. You collected your items and checked how you looked in the mirror one more time, then walked downstairs and outside, being sure to lock the door behind you. After a few minutes of walking, you got to England's house and knocked on the door in a certain pattern; the two of you had come up with it as a way to know who was at the door. You could hear a little bit of commotion, then a loud 'bump' from inside. A few moments later England opened the door, rubbing his head with a small grimace on his face.
"Did you trip, Iggy?" You asked, giggling a small bit.

Why Arthur had even accepted the invitation to Alfred’s party was beyond him.
The music was deafeningly loud, his head pounded like it was being hit repeatedly by a sledgehammer, and currently he was being crushed between two fairly burly men as he tried to make his way off the dance floor.
He squirmed between them, trying to push them off, only to have them bump back with the beat of the offensively explicit music.
Instantly, he lost his footing and tumbled forward, hitting the floor roughly. He scrambled to get back up, dashing for an escape from the madness.
He wanted to leave. Now. And nothing was going to stop him. . .
Except knocking into someone considerably forcefully.
He was so focused on getting out that he wasn’t really paying attention, and when he turned the corner you collided, spilling soda everywhere and bumping heads violently.

"Good morning, love."
"Good morning, Kirkland."
This was how your morning always went now – Arthur Kirkland, the popular British student of Gakuen Hetalia, would greet you every single morning with a, 'Good morning, love.' In return, you'd reply politely with, 'Good morning, Kirkland.' In fact, it was sort of like a tradition now or something.
You had always puzzled over as to why he did this – he was pretty popular, after all. Girls found him really attractive, and they often fangirled over his accent. You? You weren't as high up on the social rankings. You were just an average student, really, and a shy one at that.
So why, of all people, did Arthur choose to greet you every single morning?
The imaginative part of your brain had said that it was because he liked you, but the more rational part of your brain had quickly dismissed that thought. Him? Like you? You didn't think so – if anything, Arthur was just being nice. That was al
