Remember Your Dues:

You think you can forget it;
As soon as you forget it,
Believe you will regret it,
Relieved of all your credit.

Your honour and your lifestyle,
Curled around my knife while-
You sit and play your games,
Thinking everything's the same.

But I'm watching and I'm waiting;
This patience suffocating,
But it's worth the while I'm waiting
For this hatred I am facing.

You thought it was forever,
And so you did endeavour;
To pretend the chains and ties,
That bind you; they have died.

But the fact is you have lied;
Forgotten where you're tied.
The markings on your side,
Remember why you hide!

But its too late for apologies;
The ice has just cracked -
And my gun has just cracked,
And soon you're getting capped.

No love for another traitor,
No love for another hater.
Remember who is greater:
A king or his creator?

Hey everyone ^^

Tonight's work is more of practice for the Captain rather than anything representative. He was working with rhyme to see how far he could go either twisting words or phrases to make them fit with the context.

Overall I think it turned out rather nicely o3o.

So enjoy everybody, I'll get him to rap it sometime, you have my promise on that~ PYON! <3 (still waiting for my pay rise for doing this =_+)

A Game We Hate to Play:

I stand amongst a screaming crowd,
And you'll hear them shout it out.
"All this shit just isn't fair,
Life's a game but we don't care!"

-

Hear me, do you think I'm lazy?
When I talk I'm crazy,
Sorry I'm just hazy, but I-
Still think that I'm like Jay-Z
Rappin' here with Stacy;
The boys they call her baby; Haha...

And we're playin' this song for the killers,
The ones with no hope workin' shop at the tillers.

And if you think that we're just the fillers,
You wouldn't be wrong; we're just grain at millers - haha!

-

All this shit just isn't fair,
Life's a game but we don't care!
We're gonna change the game tonight,
C'mon let's turn out the light!

All this shit just isn't fair,
Life's a game but we don't care!
We're gonna change the rules tonight,
C'mon let's turn out the light.

-

Lights off, everybody nights off,
Walking through these streets of -
People drinkin' Smirnoff;
Everybody's sorrows,
Prayers for tomorrows,
Whisper as they borrow,
Cash for all the sorrow-oh-oh...

I guess the cycle is still vicious;
Debt piling higher than a pile of children's wishes.

And if you think it's over better look before you leap,
I'm staring at the bones that the people have to keep-ah.

-

All this shit just isn't fair,
Life's a game but we don't care!
We're gonna change the game tonight,
C'mon let's turn out the light!

All this shit just isn't fair,
Life's a game but we don't care!

-Unfinished piece by Chen Yuan Wen ft. Stacy-Mace, 4th April 2013
Alright everyone,

Co-captain Bunny Hayes~ Pyon <3 (Omg, I don't get paid enough to say this embarassing crap)

*Ahem* Anyway, here is one of the Captain's unfinished and NEVER to be finished works. It was based off the song 'Run This Town Tonight' by Jay-Z I do believe.

The Captain wrote it awhile back and its strange how relevant it is now. The italics are provided by a friend of his who chose to be called (and I don't know why she wanted this name) "Stacy-Mace".

Essentially the beat is somewhat similar to that of the song and that is primarily the reason why this was never finished or released. However, you can enjoy it for now as a filler piece until the Captain is over his immense depression.

Good news though, he is at least accepting food and water and leaves his room to do crazy things in the middle of the night (like he always does) so I have hope that he'll return to us in a week or so. Until then, enjoy the Bunny-Hayes show~ PYON <3

(I seriously need to get a raise for all this .3.)

Into The Mental Abyss:

To the edge of the very abyss I have travelled.
With worn feet, gone bloodied and bare;
Dragged upon stones that stretch like sharpened spines,
Leaving tattered spoils of flesh in my wake...

Even so, I am incapable of halting;
Like a zombie, I remain numb and hypnotised.
Shambling ever onward, toward the glimmer of light.
Eager to be behold the 'she' that awaits me:

A wonderous wellspring of inspiration and knowledge;
Perfect, yet fragile, in both shape and form...
It is her majesty, her radiance,
That leaves me drained...

Alone in the depths, I am humbled and awed.

Yet the admiration that I feel soon turns corrupt,
It renders my thoughts both dark and cracked...

For if any other were to find her,
They would wield her as a weapon.
They would have no need for inspiration.
Creative thought would be an utter simplicity:

Leaving a perfect world, without opportunity...

Indeed I could never share such a thing.
Jealousy leaves me ugly, but still I cannot share!
Instead I must hide it, deep beneath the earth.
A safe location, one that is far from prying eyes.
Only when it is buried, gone for an eternity,
Then shall I be at peace.

But where oh where, in this tattered hellscape,
Shall I hide a thrashing body?
Okaaay everyone, NEWEST piece out. You can read the journal about the Captain's situation but first I have to share this with you.

This is the result of his recent madness and I must say it is deliciously evil. Something about the darkness is fresh and new, probably reflecting his new experiences. I look forward honestly to seeing what else will come from this.

From the Captain himself, here is a quick comment:

"Imagine that you have found a wellspring of ideas of knowledge. In an age where information is power, would you share it with another? I certainly would not, for it is mine. My PRECIOUS..."

At this point he did the gollum thing, so that's all I have as a comment ^^;

Hope you all enjoy it~ pyon!

The Real Writers:

There are those who sit with their laptops and tablets,
Clothed in a scarf and an artistic hat of some sort.
They ponder; leaving a stack of books beside them,
Sipping their decaf as though they are literature personified.

Posers...

What works do they prepare, other than blatant copies,
Perhaps a half-baked romance designed to woo a lady.
So convinced are they, of their own aptitude;
They are blinded by the beams of their burgeoning ego.

For the writer is not the man who is tapping away at keys,
He is not the man fervently reading with lensless glasses.
He is not the hipster debating ancient literature.
For he is a monster, wearing human skin.

He is the deranged madman, eccentric, uncanny.
He is the one who sits catatonic;
An entire world of fantasy playing in his mind.
He has gone through millions of scenes,
Thousands of scenarios, hundreds of plots
And dozens of characters.

He is not the man you expect him to be,
For a true writer is utterly WEIRD.

"So please do not offer me your shakespearian sonnets, kind sir,
For the world of Arrindor is calling to me! (*3*)/"

-Chen Yuan Wen, 4th April 2013
Direct from the captain himself~ x3

"Know the difference between the hipster and the writer. Often I seem many groups of 'artsy' individuals hanging outside the local coffe place drinking whatever strange blends they might concoct and thinking themselves professional.

If one has learned anything from 'Family Guy' its the fact that Brian griffin, who happens to be a bad writer, often does the sort of things you'd expect from these folk. They tap away at keys for a little while and feel accomplished.

No, that's not real writing. Real writing is seeing everything happening around you. You must constantly be living in the world you are trying to create.

For there is no better aid to writing, than to be living the fantasy you wish to live."

And that was all the coherent words we could get out of him ^^; Look forward to more wisdom/insanity tomorrow while we attempt to stop him from looking like a gremlin amongst the dust and boxes~

Player versus Player:

Elemental artisttry, as lightning weaves through the air.
I see the bloodthirst in his eyes, the hunger for victory.
A demand to be recognised, yet soon to be silenced;
Perfect and perfunctory - my opponent made defunct...

As I stand above this dying creature;
The flicker of life soon fading from their eyes.
I smile and whisper a word of parting,
For the fool who fell where he lies.

-Unfinished piece by Chen Yuan Wen, 10th April 2012
Okaaay everyone <3

Back here again with another unfinished piece for you. This was written by the Captain as a humour piece originally but we never ever got to the humour bit xD.

The word we were supposed to choose was the word 'PWNED', but we never found a way to insert it without making the poem look and sound inferior.

In any case, I hope you enjoyed it ;3 More coming tomorrow and almost everyday (well, when I can bother the Captain at least) because he's got 2 exams next week and so he's studying his little asian arse off.

See you all tomorrow~ <3

Counting All The Voices:

How many voices choose to speak; a debate within my head.

       As I lie awake, counting cracks, on the wall above my bed.

I seem to think of random colours and things you've never seen.

       But I don't like to hear the ugly voices, some are rather mean!

Though I suppose we are a loving family and thus I must accept

       That when it comes to stashing bodies, we are most adept...

Best of luck detective, you have three days to find her (^_^)/

Tired, Exhausted, Drained:

I am bloody exhausted! Drained to the core of my soul.

I wake up every morning with bags; burning ever deeper into my eyes.

Sunken masses of flesh, reminding me that the dreamscape -

One in which I sought refuge; is now buried where it lies.

Yet still I force myself to trudge through this wilderness.

Forever caught in a moon drenched, delusory twilight.

An endless cycle of failure and renewed hope;

Giving rise to the very stubbornness that defines me.

-Chen Yuan Wen, 5th February 2013
Alright mates,

Me journey ended officially yesterday, but now it's time to bring on the FIRE. This is my latest work ^^ It's a shot-glass poem, a style which I developed to cater to people who don't want to spend ages reading long works but still want to get the emotional feeling. It's the middle ground between haiku's and the longer pieces that I'm used to writing.

This one is particular is from my upcoming book '50 Little Glasses'. I hope you'll all look forward to it, it's going to be a neat little poetry e-book that you can buy for a reasonable price (and no you won't need an e-reader to read it)

The concept behind this poem is simple: We're all tired and exhausted after going through each day. Sometimes you just want to give in. Some people have fantastic reasons for not giving in, but me personally; I'm just a stubborn bastard.

The Flower of Evil:

Evil is but a blooming flower,
Alluring, captivating.
It is born from a humble seed
And grows to corrupt a forest.

To watch its infection spread;
To be a part of its existence...
I can think of no better prospect,
Can you?

Indeed one might baulk at the idea,
Of seeing millions suffer.
To watch worlds scream and writhe;
To see them suffer and die, with living eyes...

Yet there is a mysterious beauty in such devastation,
Fear that shakes me to my very core;
Is transfigured into a twisted pleasure:
As I am frightened, so too am I aroused.

I am addicted to the ephemeral sensation;
To the borderline between rapture and rupture.
To see my own blood soaking from splitting wounds;
Leaves me maddened amongst these blooming flowers

-Chen Yuan Wen, 1st May 2013
Alright, so as always the Captain is extremely busy, but with quite a lot of pestering, and some snacks, I managed to squeeze this poem out of him. I find it to be quite chilling, and excellently written, and I hope you all agree!

Also, when he sent me this he made a comment; "1st of May is Madness Day"

I'm not sure what this means, so I hope you guys could explain? xD

These Tears Would Come:

If my tears could tell a story of two -

What would they have to say about you?

Of a boy who spent his whole life seeking

And a girl who found it in the arms of another…

Would they tell us of laughter? Beneath a starlit sky,

Or of harsh words exchanged on bitter nights.

Would they speak of moments, so beautifully captured;

To be enjoyed in memory, like a perfect wine.

Or perhaps they would tell us of an untampered truth:

Of the lonely nights spent longing, for an Eden lost.

Captivated, habituated, to this lonely habit of you;

For her alone, these tears would come.

-Chen Yuan Wen, 31st march 2013
Ladies and Gents,

Happy Easter, I hope you're having fun so far.

I'll be posting a journal update tomorrow morning, since I've been so busy recently, but for today enjoy this sorrowful romance piece ^^.

You can also pick up the formatted Word (and PDF) version of this plus AUDIO! for just 10 points ;3 Click the purchase button and download them immediately :3

I felt that I ought to show, due to my recent slew of work, that I am not limited solely to dark topics. I prefer them, but romance is just as easy (especially if its sad).

After all, I'm sure we all have those people whom we find to be our 'habits'

Alright mates,
Been another long break due to all this job searching stuff and quite frankly I've got more of that coming up next week, but this week is the last round of applications and therefore it'll be more about the interviews and such in the days to come. Hence I should have a little bit more time for writing, as and when I can at least ^^.
THAT SAID, TONIGHT I SHALL BE RELEASING SOMETHING NEW FOR ALL OF YOU! ORAAAA!
In addition to that this week, I'm hoping to release the first part of 'Live With Me', my first attempt at a sci-fi story. As well as a few poems I've written while being on the break.
For those of you who want to keep up with my Zany-antics OUTSIDE of DA, come joi

I Like To Play With Skin:

Breathe -
My dear friends and watch,
As the feeling of life itself
Crumbles beneath each ounce of pain.

Needles slowly piercing into the body,
Paralyzing nerves and expressions.
A mask of pure horror; living terror,
Kept alive on the barest limit of the border.

Such tempting features,
Leave me eager to slip a knife beneath flesh.
Ripping soft layers of epidermal mache,
Tanned and dried, woven slowly into a loving mask.

And with my latest acquisition complete,
Only twenty spaces remain...

-Chen Yuan Wen, 28th April 2013
Well as you can see I managed to squeeze another amazing poem out from the Captain .3. It took quite some time, as he was very busy, but he sent me this, with a tagline mentioning something about needing food xD So yeeeah I'd say he's probably locked in his room again by now, studying more. God I wish I was as determined as him

Anyway I hope you guys like this piece, I found it absolutely mind blowing!
