100 Species Challenge100 (non-extinct) Species Challenge100 Species Challenge3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
This extreme challenge was loving created by me to try and get other artists out of their comfort zone. You get to pick a species to draw that falls under the category (all living animals are covered, only once, in this challenge) rather than having a set species. Simply draw an animal for each number and please link back to this deviation (or give me credit) for the challenge as I spent a fair few hours sorting this out.
Please don't modify and then claim it as your own. I will be doing a bird, mammal and chordata versions. This version was created for my group, Animal-Anatomy.
Example: rats, mice, squirrels, porcupines, beavers, guinea pigs, hamsters
Example: flatworms, hairy backs
Example: characins, pencilfishes, hatchetfishes, piranhas, tetras
Why Do I Cry?Why do I cry?Why Do I Cry?2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Why do I weep?
Why do I sigh?
Even in my sleep?
Maybe because I'm alone,
Maybe because I feel cast out.
Maybe because of trouble at home,
Maybe because other people shout.
Why do I sit in solitude?
Why do I dread company?
Why do I have an anti-social attitude?
Why do I accept self-enmity?
Maybe because my friendships always sink.
Maybe because I'm afraid.
Maybe because I don't think
That anyone will come to my aid.
Why do people hate me?
Why don't they care?
Why don't they see?
Why aren't they aware?
Maybe because I'm not important,
Maybe they think it's a crime.
Maybe they see me as a mutant,
Maybe I'm not worth their time.
Why do I sob?
Why do I stay apart?
Why can't I stop?
Why do I have a broken heart?
I think I know why I cry,
Maybe because life is bad.
But I think the main reason why,
Maybe because I'm really sad.
Mommy's Porcelain DollI was Mommy's little girlMommy's Porcelain Doll4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Her perfect porcelain doll
Trapped inside of my glass home
To watch the world in awe
But what I saw was not so good
I saw her and Daddy fight
Forced to watch his drunken rage
Every single night
Mommy thinks I cannot see
Through these walls of glass
But slowly they begin to break
Her ignorance cannot last
Then one day a bottle flies
And a tear drips from my chin
For the shards of my glass house
Just destroyed my fragile skin
I slowly made my escape
Into the world beyond
I told Mommy of what I saw
But she just refused to respond
Then I returned to my shattered home
Where I began to fall apart
And soon all that remained left of me
Was my barely beating heart
So here I lay in pieces
among my shattered home
And mommy pays no attention
To the broken bones
Though once you begin to think
The broken bones and skin
Hardly matter when you consider
All the pain within

and make her yearn for me.
Her eyes will be as beautiful
as the words she speaks.
In the night
I will make her sing.
When morning comes
to shine its light,
those eyes will hold no resentment
She will place no blame upon my skin,
She will see me for who I am.
She will see me for me.
At that moment
I will light her way
will smile for me.

To the shred of life.
But no, it is a shred no longer.
Growing more and more each day,
You care for it.
More than anyone has ever,
She cries into her pillow at night.
It is a different feeling,
That does not flow through the wrist,
A feeling that doesn't come out with the knife.
They are happy tears.
Created by your special care,
Your sweet smile,
The fact that you care.
It makes her wonder,
How could she look you over all this time?
But she knows, now.
How much you love her.
She will do anything for you,
Don't you see it in her eyes?
You care for her,
She Loves You.

Pills and whiskey down her throat
As she slowly stumbles down the stairs.
Through her cries and regret
She begins crashing into walls.
"Call 911!" I yell, as I begin holding my mother
After she collapsed, her head hitting the floor.
I hear police sirens outside our home.
My sister runs through the front door in fear.
The paramedics begin asking her things
That she barely knew the answer to.
"What's your name?"
"Do you know where you are?"
And most importantly..
"Why did you do it?"
"I didn't want to bother her anymore."

Let me feel the warmth of your breath on my neck.
Hold me close,
Let me hear the beat of your heart, where I lay my head.
Hold me tight,
Let me see that you won't ever let go.
Hold me gently,
Let me smell that familiar fragrance.
Hold me forever,
Let me taste the love I knew before.
Don't ever let go.
Sollux x Reader Chapter 3Despite how much you had slept the previous night, err, nights you’d fallen asleep easily and managed to wake up before Karkat had a chance to get annoyed and wake you up. You sure missed it; you missed Dave and Jade, and even John even though you’d broken up weeks ago. You missed Leyani, even with her annoying quirks and arrogant personality. You really missed her stories. You used to sit in her underground work shop when you needed a break from everyone and listen to her talk about her life on Alternia. You sat up and ate some of your snacks. You didn’t want to get anything out yet incase Karkat moved you again. You thought a while. You thought about home and how you missed it.
You thought about Dave and John and Leyani and… Who did you miss all that much? Of course you missed everyone but the real question was did anyone miss you? Probably not yet. It’d only been a few days after all. They prob
GrowthI remember the day I caught him 'gardening'. His cheeks stained cherry with the brisk wind that trotted beside him up and down the smothered garden path. He dropped a seed as his feet brushed past each other. Up and down he walked, a solemn lieutenant. I asked him what he was doing and those wide sky eyes reflected the ice as he told me he was trying to grow flowers for his mother. I looked at the seeds spilt on the snow and told him that they could never grow in these circumstances. I will never forget the clench in my heart when he responded, with a child's tongue; "I know".Growth2 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
Homestuck - John x Reader"Oh, my, god." Your friend put down the hamburger she was eating and tapped you on the shoulder. "Look over at that guy!"Homestuck - John x Reader2 years ago in Romance More Like This
You looked up at the boy. Blond hair, defined cheek bones. Riding a skateboard and undeniably hot.
"Um... Yeah he looks okay." You poked at the hamburger you were MEANT to be eating. But you were too full to bother starting it.
"Are you serious?" Your friend gawked at him as he turned the corner and disappeared. "There's something wrong with you."
"Yeah yeah... " You muttered.
Of course the guy was hot, but what does it matter? You didn't really care one way or another.
"Oh come on!" Your friend whined. "The reason I organized for us to come to this park was so we could have fun. Not mope around."
You glanced up at her. "Well, what do you suggest?"
A grin spread across her face. "What do you think about that guy? The guy sitting behind that tree." She pointed at a brown haired guy with a round childish face.
You sighed. "Do I seriously have to do t

It was a white light, just like people said, except you didn't walk into it.
In fact, it was all around him.
Engulfing him the moment he closed his eyes, seeing his old friend for the last time.
He had been waiting for this day for so very long, hoping it was soon.
After 5 billion years of seeing space, fighting aliens, saving Earth and becoming the Face of Boe, Captain Jack Harkness had had enough and now was getting what he wished for.
But then, the lights around him started dimming and he panicked in his mind, thinking he was going back to the living again after so long of doing so before when actually, it was quite the opposite.
He woke up on a desk....his desk.
Looking around him, he saw he was in the old Torchwood Three base, more in fact in his office and his old body, the way it was before.
Standing up, he carefully examined himself, finding nothing had changed except his old body had morphed back to what it was before he turned 3 billion years old. He was wearing his blue shir
The Poetic Mind as a MuscleThe Poetic Mind as a MuscleThe Poetic Mind as a Muscle2 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
As a poet at any given skill level, you might ponder different ways to advance your mastery of the craft. You might spend weeks dissecting famous and not so famous poets. You might read countless articles on poetic technique. You might just plow through any and every collection you can get your hands on, track all of the most well-know journals, follow all of the contemporaries. All of these things add up to a knowledgeable poet. However, does this necessarily make you a better poet?
No. The reason is that most of us equivocate poetic skill with divinely gifted talent. We often think of poetry as a latent ability that we merely possess or do not. This leads to certain diseases within the mind, whether it be the idea that our words are beyond reproach because they are "self expression," or we decide that words come out and that's all there is to it. Other times we are stricken by the undeniable flaws of our work, even t

Silence my cries.
Stop me from seeing
How the time flies.
Break me away,
Away from this life.
Release me now,
From this unbearable strife.
Let it rain!
Let the world disappear!
I don't really care,
Just get me out of here!
I long for freedom,
Disintegrate my chains.
Let all my efforts
Become in vain.
Take me away,
Silence my screams.
Break me away
From this broken seam.

No cóż. Ojciec Severa niedługo potem zginął w wypadku samochodowym. Oj. Dowiedziałem się tego gdy podsłuchiwałem rozmowę mojej matki.
Gdy skończyliśmy z Severem 5 lat w naszym rodzinnym mie
