"Water, thou hast no taste, no color, no odor; canst not be defined, art relished while ever mysterious. Not necessary to life, but rather life itself, thou fillest us with a gratification that exceeds the delight of the senses." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
The idea for this painting was conceived during my time spent in the Yukon Territory recently. The quiet and isolation there was wonderful, and the composition is also inspired by Frida Kahlo's painting "What The Water Gave Me".
"I have dreamed in my life, dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas; they have gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind." ~Emily Bronte
