Tifa Lockhart - Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I've decided to make a journal on every cosplay I make in order to explain how I made it. I will update with more info on the costume as soon as I can get to my camera(parents are borrowing it).
Ever since I learned of cosplay I always wanted to be Tifa Lockart but thought it impossible. I had been saying for 3 years prior that I would be her and finally the time came when I received a sewing machine for my birthday! Worn at Anime Expo 2011, it was my first actual cosplay and I'm very proud of it!

Reguarding The New DmC: We'll be okay.So... I've been downloading Devil May Cry OSTs And while listening to "I'll be your home" I realized something- About my Rants and Raves towards the new DmC:Reguarding The New DmC: We'll be okay.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
There's Nothing we can do. Nothing
But thats okay- Because they can't simply come in and take away the Dante, the emotions, the love, the hate, the frustration of being stuck on Vergils last battle and finally screaming "TAKE THAT YOU WHORE!!!!" at the screen at the end of the game!!!! No. They can't.. they can't take what they've already given us.
This new game is much like a cold: All we have to do is lay back, relax and it'll go away.
I can't wait for it to come out- perhaps if not many people enjoy it they may realize how many are outraged.
I complain not. Its a good thing I'm not a Devil...
Because I'm bawling. Crying. Sobbing. All and any derivitives for the tears inside me. To be a nerd and quote the song I'm sobbing to: "The tears inside me calm me down"
Thinking about that reminds me of DMC3's last few cutscenes...

Thankyou and Fanime 2012!Thankyou for all the comments and even sharing your stories! It was hard to write it out (and we didn't even go into the details! lol;; ) and I felt really shy about it, but it was a learning experience ^^ I wrote from my point-of-view and what I had to say about it~ both sis and bro have their own stories about it too, but that's for them to write out if they ever wanted to ^^ When we went through all that, they were so poised!! I was like "ommggg I need to talk about this but I know, I know, we should keep it inside jsakdjsk". So writing that journal was a lifesaverThankyou and Fanime 2012!3 years ago in Personal More Like This

Regarding the Boston Marathon BombingI've tried to write this journal a few times, but I am having trouble finding words.Regarding the Boston Marathon Bombing2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I live in Massachusetts, so Boston is "my home" when I travel and the city that I most strongly associate with myself. I'm mad. I don't know how to feel about things like this other than to be mad. In an age of immediate and 24 news, it's hard to not know who or why, and endlessly frustrating to watch people fight and blame without any factual information.
I do love the quote from Fred Rogers that has been going around. But I also think about the words of people like George Carlin. Is this just how we live now? I feel like people my age, who were teens during 9/11, live our lives just assuming that any and every day there's a chance we could be violently and senselessly killed by a random act of violence. Does that mean that the people who do these things have succeeded?

Thusday, 24th May:
I arrived at the Airport in the afternoon and the organization team picked me up from there . The hotel room was directly next to the con. It was still some time till Elffi's plane would arrive, so Christian (organization team member) and I took a walk in a nearby park. I got so distracted by wild DOGS, BIRDS and CATS everywhere *-*! I could pet a cute wild kitty <3 awww~~
The we went to the airport to pick up Elffi. We were standing there pretty long and I got bored and annoyed XD;....so the first thing I did after he came out of the baggage claim room, was kicking his leg and asking why the hell that took so long ;O;~~~
We haven't seen each other since WCS, so that really heartwarming kick was the nicest greeting I could get in mind *LOL*.

very sad news everyone.this is the day we have all wished would never happened to this fandom. Next Monday is the day we wished would never come. Next Monday is going to be the worst day. We are all going to relive something that all of us have hoped would never happen again. So next Monday on nickelodeon at 5:00pm and then again for some reason at 7:00, DO NOT WATCH THE LAST AIRBENDER MOVIE AT ALL! Instead, why don't you watch regular show then adventure time on cartoon network at that time. Or better yet, why don't you get up from your chair at 5:00 pm next Monday and reply slam your head against the wall until all you can see is blackness. That would be better then going thru that again. Or maybe just watch regular show then adventure time on cartoon network, that maybe for the best.very sad news everyone.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Introduction about making handmade booksINTRODUCTION ABOUT BASIC TOOLS TO MAKE HANDMADE BOOKSIntroduction about making handmade books2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Today I'd like to share with you some basic tips if you're interested in making handmade books. I've learned how to do that a few terms ago, at the university. As an art restoring adept I've been through the old, traditional ways of making books and added some modern touches to simplify that. I'm going non-professional so far, without expensive equipment, so if you'd like to give books a try you don't have to invest that much
The first and obvious thing that's needed for our book is paper. At that stage you have to decide what kind of book you'd like to make - you need lined or squared paper for notebooks, journals, cookbooks and basically everything that's meant to write in. Sketchbooks and scrapbooks require nice smooth plain paper and photo albums work best with thick and durable paper. Of course those are basics, you can use decorated paper or one suitable for

Draw Me!?Hey Everybody!!Draw Me!?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So I think it's about time I made this post.
A lot of you have asked this question: Can I draw you?
And to that I say YESSSS (as long as it's not vulgar or porn)
You are allowed to:
draw, paint, sketch or use my poses as inspiration no problem,
But please let me know when you do and please credit me as the model (link to my DA page would be nice!)
You are not allowed to do (WHATSOEVER):
any photo manipulation, retouching or use my image on a product (specially if you benefit money-wise from it)
All drawings of me will go into my favorites and from time to time I will be featuring the art in my journals
To all those who have already drawn me, thank you very much
Makes me smile everytime and I'm always impressed by your work and honored to have inspired you.
Here are the art works of me that I have found so far!
If I missed any of you let me know!
PS: This is not a critique journal, this is to honor the artist that were so kind to tak the time and d
Children's Literature, Morality + Changing IdealsIntroductionChildren's Literature, Morality + Changing Ideals3 years ago in Literature Features More Like This
With the invention of the printing press in the fifteenth century, and its gradual integration into society, people at last had access to literature. It was William Caxton who first saw the opportunity to make money by printing and selling those stories and fables hitherto told by word of mouth.
At this time, literature did not have age-specific target audiences. Inevitably, some stories appealed to children more than others. Robin Hood was especially popular, while Aesop’s fables offered entertainment and life lessons to adults and children alike.
It is, of course, impossible to say exactly when and how literature was identified as a useful tool in teaching morality to children. It is speculated that there was no concept of ‘childhood’ before the eighteenth century, although historians debate this, as historians are apt to do.

Reunite a FamilyI don't need to tell you how important families are. Whether you are the parent or the child, the worst thing that can happen is to be separated from each other. Now imagine yourself alone in the country, living with the constant fear that you may never see your loved ones again. Ana Cordoba doesn't need to imagine this nightmare because she is living it:Reunite a Family3 years ago in Personal More Like This
"At 19, being a U.S citizen--born and raised--I currently work an hourly job and share a home with three other people. At this time I'm on medical leave due to mental issues garnered from my parents' deportation. I have been recently diagnosed with PTSD and OCD--I have nightmares that one day I will wake up to the news that my parents are dead in war-torn Mexico. My mind is filled with the thoughts of what could have been, and it hurts so much. While that may not sound so severe to you, to my parents: it does."
I understand America is divided on issues of immigration, but Ana's parent's have been lawful residents of

You probably know this already but:
If you're wondering where Swag.MOV is, the universe doesn't want it uploaded...check this out;
FIRST: One of the voice actors wasn't up for the job. That took a huge amount of time out.
SECONDLY: The complete Swag.mov got wiped by Max's computer.
THIRD: Max, right after trying to upload Swag.mov at his library, got hit by a car and injured. Sent to hospital.
Looks like we have a while to wait, but we gotta support Max and be patient.
He's trying all he can.

I'd just like to mention publicly, that I, as well as artists in general, are not art vending machines.
You don't type suggestions in, and then have a slot where artwork comes out for free .
Important to Note: I am not addressing any individual in particular. If you think this is about *you* specifically ( whoever you are)- don't. This about the private notes I get, with alarming volume, where people feel they can simply request artwork from me for free. I get a *lot* of these. Which prompted me to post something about it. I usually just ignore them, or, if I feel particularly polite that day, I send them a note back saying I don't do requests.
But they never stop o_O. And it's not that I mind suggestions in comments under artwork, such as: "Oh, I hope one day you will paint _________." or, "
