Follow my costuming & make-up on Facebook - [link] This Pink Ball Gown is for Traci Hines "Part of Your World" Music Video. [link]. For the pink gown Traci stressed that she wanted it to look more like a period gown, so I pulled from all my favorite era’s of fashion. I designed the corset from the Edwardian era, with a pigeon chest and a small waist. The sleeves are slash and puff sleeves from the Renaissance and Tudor period. The skirt is more of the Rococo era with hip panniers and a bustled back. Traci chose her favorite fabric and trims to make it all happen! I wanted to make sure that this costume didn’t look like a “cosplay” costume. If you remember the scene where she gets the gown, she did not have someone make it for her, they most likely had it in one of the royal closets so she could borrow it. "TracPerhaps it was one of Eric’s Mother’s dresses? Instead of using pure whites, I used antique colors like champagne to replace the whites. Making the dress was truly magical! It came together in two days! I had the help of Katie Mitchell dying trims, finishing hems, and cutting fabric for me. Traci was on details, sewing pearls and gluing rhinestones. Even our director Raiya was making trips to the fabric district to pick up notions to finish the gown! We were like the little mice in Cinderella, working to make a princess gown! After it came together we were all relieved to see that it had turned out beautifully. (we were shooting it the next day). To read more about this project, read my blog here - [link]

Original Steampunk Tinkerbell. I used muted greens for her bright green leaf dress. For the skirt I wanted to still have a petal look. Each leaf is two sides different fabric with piping down the for the "leaf veins". Of course she has a little bottle of fairy dust on her belt! I'll post the wings soon!

This is one in a set of three Goddess costumes made for Team Unicorn worn to The Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball. Using Organic Armor as the base we made flowing panels ombre silk fall from the belt and swag from the arm. Notions of gold sea shells and dove feathers are repeated through out the costume.

If Lady Amalthea was going to a Ball I feel like this is the gown she would wear. I tied in elements of her lavender gown in the movie like the off the shoulder sleeves and plum colored ties down the center of her dress. For me this is a very special gown because it was inspired by the one of my favorite heroines (Lady Amalthea) growing up. I am honored that I will be able to show this gown to Author Peter S. Beagle, and extremely honored that his crew wants to incorporated Firefly Path Unicorn Circlets on their tour. It's truly a dream come true that my work is in some small way associated with the Last Unicorn!! Keep updated with the Last Unicorn Tour - [link]

Follow my costuming & make-up on Facebook - www.facebook.com/FireflyPath My friend commissioned this gown as a birthday gift for his fiancé (who is also my friend Raiya Corsiglia - Director)! I'm pretty sure this is the most fabric Firefly Path as ever used in a costume, over 50 yards of fabric! When designing this costume I wanted to make a realistic version of the Disney Belle. I used gold fabrics and yellow as an accent color. The motif of roses are repeated throughout the gown in the center of the corset with rose patten brocade to the rose clusters at the edge of the overskirt. When I think of Disney's Belle Gown there are two details that first come to mind.. the ruched skirt and her sleeve swags. I put a twist on these two iconic elements by making a hi-low ruched skirt over a full skirt and made her single swag sleeve into a double swag with a pendent in the middle. <3

Using Organic Armor as the base we added a high collar lined in feathers and beaded lace. The peacock is sacred to Hera so we wanted that to reflect in her fabrics with rich beaded jewel tone silks and hand beaded lace.
Our customer commissioned us for a Princess Jasmine costume similar to the one we made for Traci Hines (tracihines.com) We changed up all the fabrics and notions from the original. In this version we used a dark crepe silk over crushed satin. The dark teal lace overlay is bejeweled with crystals. The swags around the arms are detailed with trim and filigree.
Design - This wedding gown design is inspired by Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" - Belle's yellow gown. Belle's iconic dress enchanted the hearts of so many, I wanted my design to encompass the grandeur of her ball gown as well as the finer details and fabrics fit for a fairytale bride. Details - Gold and champagne chantilly lace in a rose motif line the neglige. Exquisite antique gold lace details the bust with delicate shimmering beading. Crepe silk chiffon drapes off-the-shoulders. The spiral steel-boned corset laces at the back with gold grommets and ribbon. Airy layers of tulle ruche in a high-low style over the glittery tulle underskirt. Both skirts are trimmed with matching floral beaded lace. Ordering - If you are interested in this design for your wedding gown, please e-mail us at: firstname.lastname@example.org Please include your wedding date and dress size. While honoring the beautiful shape and the color scheme (white dress with yellow detailing in the center of the corset) of the original dress, I modernized the look a bit by using heavier fabrics like satin, brocade, crushed satin, and embroidered lace, and by making the puffed sleeves slightly smaller. This dress was an excited project for me, not only because I made a dream come true for a dear friend, but because it was my very first commission!"
