I updated my Medli costume for Katsucon! I made a new beak (it's a custom latex prosthetic), as well as wings! They are fully articulated to mimic the proper movement of a real bird's wings. These were a huge undertaking, it was my first time constructing anything that dabbled into the area of puppetry, but I'm so pleased with the end result! They worked really well at the con, and most importantly, they didn't break!
The wings were made by adapting =

[link] I ended up making quite a few changes to it, but that's what inspired the basic idea! Definitely check it out if you want to get a general understanding of how my wings were made.
I was also honored to have Rin join me as Link! She was absolutely perfect and I had so much fun getting to cosplay her! (The first of many more in the future!!)
These costumes have been featured in a few Katsucon cosplay videos!
