I quickly shuffled over to the kitchen and grabbed one of the notepads they provided to write down orders and a pen. I turned to move to the table they were sitting at, but my feet wouldnt move. Cmon Amy, you heard your friends, thisll be a cinch! I told myself. I felt a hand grab my arm and jolted in shock, Rouge was right beside me.
Time to go to work Amy. She said giving me a slight push to get me moving, and walked off to Sonics booth. She probably wants to see Knuckles. I thought to myself smiling. I tapped my left foot twice on the ground to activate the hover skates I had put on with my uniform, and skated slowly towards the table following Rouges lead. I practiced smiling, like with any other customer, which was what Sonic had to be today, just another customer.
So you think theres a chance Eggman will attack again? Knuckles asked with his arms crossed on the tabl

Out of all the punishments Amy had given me in the time that wed known each other, this was the worst. I wish she would just yell at me, beat me with her hammer till I was a smudge on the floor, anything but this.
We had all come back from the disastrous camping trip after one night, as planned. Everyone had a great time, oblivious to what had happened. She didnt tell a single person, at least thats what I assumed; I hadnt received any disgusted glares, or been the subject of humiliation from Knuckles or Shadow. Everything was as it should have been; they roasted marshmallows, exchanged scary stories, all that cliché campy stuff. Yes, very normal...
...Except for the dragging, torturous silence from Amy.
When I realised what I had done that day, I shot out of there like a bat out of hell, not looking back. I had never been so embarrassed in my entire life. The wait for her back at the camp had been pure agony. I sat huddled against a tree holdin

Well what a glorious start to the day Amy grumbled to herself as she looked down at her mud soaked dress caused by stepping into a massive puddle. It had been raining all week, and refused to stop just for amy as she walked to work. Her favourite red and white dress was soaking wet and her bangs slapped against her face as she walked through the harsh wind and rain, not to mention the cars that sprayed her with another wave of mud as they drove by. This was not her day.
She looked up suddenly to see a faint glow of colours through the harsh rain, she never felt so relieved to see the neon sign that sat at the top of the entrance of her destination, The chaos café. She decided to run the rest of the way, risking severe embarrassment by the possibility of slipping on the soaking wet concrete. The automatic doors opened for her and she walked inside, noting the sympathetic looks the customers gave her as she went.
She looked around; it was defiantly a ni

The Graveyard ShiftThe Graveyard Shift: A Night in the Haunted MansionThe Graveyard Shift6 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
As midnight approached, the Haunted Mansion was silent. All of Disneyland was silent, actually, but the creepy old house was especially quiet. It was an hour and a half after closing time, and Cast Members had already run the last couple of check-ups to make sure the Dining Hall glass had not been defaced again or that the Séance Room was still in one piece. The large white building, usually rather inviting, now looked very hollow and empty, its tall iron gates shut tightly. Outside, crickets chirped in the warm night and the waters in the Rivers of America rippled smoothly. All was still; all was calm
The show lights in the Haunted Mansion suddenly flicked back on. The abnormally cold air conditioning started up again and the special effects continued running. The Doombuggies did not move, however; they remained still.
Outside the graveyard, the attractions finale, the skinny caretaker stretched his skinny limbs. He
JudasIt was a cursed day, so cold that your clothes stuck to your skin with every step, your nostrils were glued together with every breath and your heart cried out in fear of frost, unable to hide away even in the deepest part of your chest. The bodies of dead seagulls, victims of the coldest winter that the Greek settlers could remember, lay on the ground, ready for the taking by any starved man or beast. The sea was, for once, silent and still, draped in heavy ice, powerless before a crueler mistress.Judas5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Trudging his feet through the snow, grateful for his thick, fur coat, yet still cursing his coming to this side of the world, Judas made his way towards the tavern. Every now and then he spared a glance eastwards, towards the rising sun that glinted blindingly on the white ice of the Black Sea, burning the sight, but radiating no heat.
How mad he had been to leave Jerusalem! Or how foolish not to have gone elsewhere, in gentler places, with soft winters and cool summers. Why these Greek sho

It was in the darkest eve of the night that the sound of horses hooves were heard thundering in the distance. Only thin slivers of pale moonlight shone through the limbs and leaves of the trees canopy. Crickets chirped forlornly from their nestled spot among the ground.
With a sudden burst of movement, a great, lumbering beast burst forth through a shelf of low-hanging branches, a graceful silhouette against the still and quiet night, and with it, came a chilling wind that had not previous blown. Atop the creatures back was a tall man holding against his broad frame a young boy with one arm, the other keeping the reigns tightly enclosed within his hand. The childs hair was stark, almost glowing against the gloomy backdrop, his skin pale and sickly. His cheeks, flushed with fever, quivered mildly as his as his brows furrowed, eyes tightly shut as if to block the illness out.
Christmas with Freddie Part 1In December 1986, Julian suggested we spend Christmas with Freddie and Jim. He soon had planned it with Jim that we would surprise Freddie on Christmas Eve. I bought Freddie a dark red scarf for Christmas since I had no idea what else to get him (what do you get the guy who can afford anything he wants?), and because I thought the scarf was very pretty. Julian got him a pair of tap shoes. We boarded our plane the night before Christmas Eve. "Oh, Jean!" Fantine smiled. "You must do things for yourself every once in a while!"
"There was a time when I lived only for myself, and I was miserable. Now I am dead, but I live again when I am in your presence."
Fantine opened her mouth to say something but was cut off by the sound of a flute. "Jean, do you hear that? Isn't it just lovely?"
"Quite," Jean Valjean nodded.
The Blonde stood. "Will you dance with me?" she inquired shyly.
"I don't know how," he lied. He did know how to dance, and he knew that the flute's song called for a very intimate dance. He did not consider himself worthy of such a thing with a woman as wonderful as Fantine.

cause they were, when you were
they're steeped in your breath
The air was cleaner

I didn't manage to be
when your body was
but I feel
like those books
so full of your breath
of your voice
of your soul
I can scratch the door
to the Garden Lodge
with my pain and anger
But the paint under my nails
will be washed soon
I can pour the water from Geneva Lake
into little bottle
and keep it close
to my heart
near this organ
Without this organ I couldn't live
but I could be alive
if I deserve on it
But the shortest way to get to know you
is to hear

I didn't know you very long but it felt like an eternity.
No one can lay beats like you do or ever could
They could try but would fail
You cared about others bringing laughter into their lives
There was nothing you wouldn't do to make people smile
you even chased a duck and ran amok
you yelled at cars and drank (a lot) but deep inside you stayed strong.
One day you write you know what's wrong with your health
(it probably) can't be fixed but you cared less about that and wealth
you finished it and said "My last."
Then 3 days later you passed.
You knew your time had come but you didn't want us to see you suffer
so you ended it quickly after your last supper.
The others heard of your death and many tears had fallen
I only shed one but many more were callin'.
It took a while to find out what had happened
but even then we prayed you would find your paradise.
These words are written for you and you alone

The chair he was sitting on was precisely the one he preferred for such task, but right now his contemplation was far from the celestial sentinels.

12 years since Sonic Adventure was released, and since then almost every 3D sonic game has had the curse of either being incredibly mediocre, or downright satanically bad.
Even when a 3D Sonic game seemed to be playing ok, it was set back with a horrible gimmick that often times make the gameplay bad.
Well, now Sonic Colors have been released for the Wii, and me and my buddy had the chance to play it, while wearing a nifty little Sonic Hat.
Plot: Because plotpoints are always the most important point in any Sonic game. Nah, I'm just kidding. I will never attempt to take ANY plot seriously from Sonic games. Thank God there's a simple and straightforward plot this time around. If they pulled the same shit they did with Sonic 06, and make a confusing convoluted plot involving a princess, I would have to fucking strangle someone.
