How in your world so full of nightmares do you sleep so peacefully? Are we the only ones who cry tears that you have run dry? How do you keep on struggling on those end less days when we don't care? How have we forgotten your contagious laughter...
How do you fly with such fragile wings? How do you warm our hearts with your weak smiles? How do you touch the stars with you innocent strides? And soar to the heavens with your beauty?
Truly you are the ones that will inherit this fertile earth. Make of it, more than we have. Change it for the better.
Turkey x Reader - Misjudge "Taxi!" you shout at the fast-moving yellow car. It zooms right past you. Frustrated, you let out a whiney groan, grabbing your luggage, chasing after the vehicle. You must look like a crazy woman, with your frizzy (h/c) locks flying around your face, mouth set in an open shout, hands waving around frantically, careful not to hit any of the pedestrians with your umbrella. Your trip to Turkey had been going so well; full sunshine for seven days. But now, after looking up at the sky, you wonder what made the clouds so purple and gloomy, rain falling out from them in no particular pattern.Turkey x Reader - Misjudge2 years ago in Romance More Like This

After your intense, eight minute screaming, the driver finally seems to see you, glancing in the rearview mirror. The car comes to a screeching stop, the tires making a splashing noise from the large puddles gathered

Switzerland x Reader - Thief You pressed your thin frame against the reddish bricks of the mansion. The wind seeped its way through the seams in your flimsy black turtleneck, causing you to shiver. It was an unusually cold October night. Your heart pounded faster then a hummingbird, and, for a split second, you wondered if it was time to back down and go home to your shitty apartment, ignoring the rent that needed to be payed, forgetting about this whole endeavour. But you just shook your head, tiptoeing next to the house.Switzerland x Reader - Thief2 years ago in Romance More Like This
A branch crackled under your sneakers, making the loudest noise possible. You gritted your teeth, hoping the sound was mute to the human ear. Unfortunately, you heard a slow scuttle of footsteps from the high open window of the house. A tiny girl poked her head out, craning her neck. Her eyes were a hazy turquoise, half lidded from sleep. Your breath hitched in your throat. The girl yawned, disappearing. It was so quiet, you could hear her climbing into her bed, the springs creaking

You pointed to him and the peanut butter, mouthing 'you' at him. He blushed a deep red, his curl straightening up.

Ludwig scowled at the spoon being offered to himthat is, scowled as much as his stuffy nose and sore throat would allow him. He really did appreciate the Italian trying to help him out but he had not fallen as far as to let someone feed him. He was a grown man, and he would feed himself.
"But I'm just trying to help! So Germany should say 'aaaah~' for me!"
"I-I will not!" The blush on his checks was all from the fever, or at least that's what he told himself. The German pulled the blankets up to his nose, looking away from the brunet. He knew he was being childish, but he he still had his pride. "I-I I will feed myself, thank you for the offer, but I'm fine."
Feliciano's pout rivaled Ludwig's scowl; he dropped the spoon back into the soup bowl, shaking the German's shoulder ever so lightly. Ludwig could be so stubborn! "Come on, come on! You need to eat something, Ludwig, or you won't get better!"

I could see the red elephant

That elephant in my mind’s room

How My Business WorksHow My Business Works2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
My business works because it's actually not a business. And by this I mean I hardly make any money with my pictures. For me photography is not a way to make money but to invest money, and I work several other jobs to be able to pay for my art. I'm a tour guide on waste to energy plants and wastewater treatment facilities, I'm a concierge at the house I'm living, I work as a Photoshop instructor and on weekends I take care of the library of the University.
Sometimes people say to me: I can hardly believe you're not making money with your photos because they are better than the work of many professional photographers.
Of course it's flattering when somebody says something like that even if I don't always agree. But here's the thing: the very reason why I'm able to work on this level is because I don't have to make money with my pictures. If you're a photographer who wants to make a living out of it you are forced to do things differently. You have to focus on what your customers like and

For me I was lucky, the infection has not reached my hometown yet and has given me time to prepare for the worst. People from the south were evacuating to the north towards the Safe Zone for protection by the army. I called my brother Leo about my plan of holding out while the infection passes. He agreed and moved into my apartment with some supplies. He lives by the Airport down south from me. He never stops complaining to me how much he misses the buildings, free running the rooftops with his friends known as a Concrete Jungle Runners. Leo took free running to the extreme by duck taping his trouser legs and his hooded sweatshirt arms. Leo just told me it stops his clothes flapping and catching onto things when he runs along. That I will never stare,
Because for my life I really do care!

You may think it to be queer,

Antoine Dodson is here!
Through every second, minute, day, month and year,
the retired women leer.
And the men drink their beer.
The bingo boards are clear.
The time is near;
The sheep are sheared.
The farmers stroke their beard,
pondering how their braids are weird.
In all good manners in which they were reared;
And, oh, how the topic veered.
Now back to the pledge in which everyone cheered:
For it was expertly engineered.
We rallied and towards the future we peered
where cats and dogs and bears all cheered.
And finally to the end in which we're all endeared,
by many lovelies, none who sneered.
Towards adhering to the pledge we all geared
up for shaving Santa's beard.

What's funny is that he was starving. Ravenous, really. And he couldn't remember the last time he'd eaten, and yet something always came up, lumpy and green and tasting... fermented. He was forgetting a lot of things lately, not just when he last ate. His name was still here, but he'd forgotten his wife's face. First, after he'd beaten her to death and forced vomit past her cooling lips, all he could see was her face slacking from something to something else to another thing, and then she ran, joined the others in finding them. Damn. There went something else. What was it... emotion. He tried to remember what feelings looked like and they were gone. Maybe he was puking up
