It began with the smallest mistake,
allowing them to stay,
along with us as our guests,
and never go away.
They spread the snakes of hatred,
in every nook and corner,
and bit us all apart,
making us easy to conquer.
Like vultures tearing meat apart,
they tore away our unity,
making sure the cut once made,
would never heal again.
When Oppression finally opened our eyes,
oceans of blood drowned us,
into the depths of darkness,
where once entered can never comeout again.
Until one day when he arrived,
bringing along the rays of freedom,
carried us up away from darkness,
and showered the glory of 'satyagraha'.
He healed the cuts of hatered,
and pulled us all together,
reminding us about who we are,
the children of the 'Golden Bird'.
When they heard the voices of freedom,
they knew they had to leave,
decided to make a final cut,
a cut that hurts even today.
But at last at the stroke of the midnight hour,
when the world lay in slumber,
the sky was filled with a sparkle of a bird,

Where I can make all dark doubts cease.

"The cow is a successful animal. Also he is quadrupud, and because he is female, he give milk, but will do so when he is got child. He is same like God,sacred to Hindus and useful to man.But he has got four legs together. Two are forward and two are afterwards.
His motion is slow only because he is of asitudinious species. Also his other motion is much useful to trees, plants as well as making flat cakes in hand and drying in the sun. Cow is the only animal that extricates his feeding after eating.
His only attacking and defending organ is the horn, specially so when he is got child. This is done by knowing his head whereby he causes the weapons to be paralleled to the ground of the earth and instantly proceed with great velocity forwards."
That's how a would be IAS officer has described the Indian cow. Our beloved Indian cow. Holy cow, Hindu cow, Gau Mata, Dugdh Devi, Purveyor of the Dung in the words of Salman Rushdie, Phantom (short for phantom shitter) in mine.

shiny in my palm,
the ticket to my peace,
to my eternal calm.
They're so perfectly round,
and soon they'll be in me.
The closest to perfect
that I'll ever be.
They go down so smooth.
Five, ten, fifteen and twenty.
Soon I'll be gone.
Twenty-five and Thirty.
That should be enough,
but I'll play it safe.
Thirty-five and forty.
Now I have no more to take.
The bottle is empty,
as empty as I feel.
None of this is happening,
too good to be real.
But soon I start to drift
into a dark unknown fog.
Somewhere quite distantly.
I hear a muffled sob.
But I blow it off as fake.
Nobody could possibly care.
I doubt anyone's noticed
that I'm no longer there.
But then I hear my name,
just a distant call.
I feel myself lift higher.
No! I want to fall!
I ignore the voice in earnest,
but it's calling me up, up, up.
Please let me be.
That life was too tough.
I like this fog,
this numbing haze,
free from the ridicule,
from the judging gaze.
But inevitably I come up,
eyes open so slight.

You walked out of the girls' dorms and crossed to the next building, on your way to the training fields. You and Sasha had been the last ones to leave the dorms and were on your way together. The girls had been singing songs all morning and Sasha and you had a new earworm...
"From here on out, I'll be your commander!" You belted out.
"I'll be your commander!" Sasha echoed.
"No, fear, no doubt, I'll provide the answer! And right now I command you to-"
"DANCE!" You both finished while giggling. You neared Commander Erwin's office and you both hushed...only to turn the corner and pick up the singing again as you passed Captain Levi's office.
You knew that he and the other squad leaders including Commander Erwin were at a meeting at that moment so you didn't fear his scolding (and subsequent punishment). You finished the long corridor walk to the double doors that opened out to the training grounds and the stables. Strapping on your 3D Maneuver Gear, you followed Sasha to where the rest of

I can't hide my amusement at that fact, dire as our situation may be. Abruptly I am thrown, shoved too hard into the shadows and against the wall, my vertebrae snapping to attention with the impact. Must remember to thank my 'hero' for that one later. He presses a forearm against my chest, leaving it there just an extra moment: stay here.
He disappears. I shudder at the cold as a wave of goose bumps rips over my skin. My eyes dart to and fro, ner

The text was the last one he received that morning, but he hardly minded. It had been around ten when he woke up and saw it, and she’d sent it hardly a minute before. The rare smile that hardly ever ghosted across his face made a sudden appearance when he read the text, and it set the preface for the entire day.
He hummed softly to himself, pulling on his swim team jacket and heading out of the dorms to enjoy his day off with his girlfriend that he was determined to prove he absolutely adored. Anyone who was willing to stick with him, even if he couldn’t do the one thing he’d done his whole life anymore, was more than worthy of his affections and respect.

Beth's heart skipped when she looked over her reflection, barely recognizing the young lady who stared back. The gown she wore, though not cut in the latest fashion, was a rich emerald green that complimented her fair skin and rich brown curls. The skirt was full, the silk flaring slightly at the hips and reaching to the floor where the hem was stitched in an ornate pattern of golden ivy. The stitching continued up the skirt to the bodice, wrapping around it in a way that complimented her narrow waist.
The bodice was cut lower than the style that Beth was used to and was trimmed in black lace, and Beth couldn't help but feel self conscious about the amount of cleavage that it revealed. Yet Fiona assured her that it was not at all inappropriate, that it barely revealed anything at all, which relieved Beth somewhat.
Fiona had also managed to style Beth's unruly tresse

A story of a girl who was diagnosed.
Diagnosed with a terrifying thing,
Something that would threaten her life for years to come.
Something that she could never escape,
No matter how she ran,
No matter how she struggled.
This diagnosis was a horrific thing to the girl,
Although, not surprising at all.
The symptoms had swallowed her for days,
Months of this thing inside of her.
This thing that we call
There are people who tell her,
"You're only sad."
However, that isn't the case.
See, she was never diagnosed with sadness.
Everyone knows sadness.
She was never diagnosed with emotion.
Everyone knows emotion.
She was never diagnosed with temporary heartbreak,
Everyone knows all those things.
She was diagnosed with something much, much worse.
Since then, she's suffered with such a terrible thing...
But for days..

7: Beauty and the BeastIt was nearly dawn when Edmund finally managed to get away from Mrs. Gibbs. The old cow certainly liked to talk, going on and on about her childhood as though Edmund cared in the least about who her parents were and where she had grown up. Mr. Gibbs was no better, prattling on about all manner of things, from horses to hunting to the weather.7: Beauty and the Beast2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
After sitting through several grueling hours of their mindless blather, he had excused himself, saying that the exhaustion of his ordeal and the anxiety over his wife had given him a dreadful headache, and so he was going to retire to his room for a few hours to rest.
Edmund took the hallway towards the guest quarters, glancing back to be sure that Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs weren't following, then he turned and headed down another hall which led through the dining room and into the foyer.
He crept up the stairs, darting quickly into the darkness of the hallway for fear that he might be spotted. The wind howled outside, making the heavy windows rattle.
