THAT'S RIGHT YOU ARE A SHOE.
THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT NOT BEING A SHOE BECAUSE IN MY MIND YOU ARE ONE AND THAT IS MOST UNFORTUNATE.
AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU CONCEPTUALIZED AS A SHOE IN MY IMAGINATION YOU SHALL REMAIN AS SUCH.
THIS MAKES ME WONDER WHETHER ALL PEOPLES AND OBJECTS CAN BE CONCEPTUALIZED AS SHOES AND THUS BECOME SUCH, GRANTING ME ABSOLUTE POWER OVER THEM. DOES SNIPPY HAVE A CLEVER ARGUMENT? NO HE DOESN'T, HE'S A SHOE. SHOES CAN'T HAVE CLEVER ARGUMENTS.
I FEEL LIKE THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD HAS BEEN LIFTED OFF MY SHOULDERS NOW THAT EVERYTHING IS UNDER MY CONTROL, NOW THAT YOU ARE ALL SHOES. I NO LONGER HAVE TO ANSWER TO MY REGRETS AND PAST MISTAKES BECAUSE THEY ARE SIMPLY SHOES.
I WAS EVEN ABLE TO PAINT PHOTOSHOP IN PURPLE COLOR (TO PLEASE CAPTAIN) AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN PUT UP A PROPER FIGHT BECAUSE I IMAGINED HER AS A SHOE.

Urgent help neededHi, this is Mark, Phil Jackson's brother.Urgent help needed2 years ago in Personal More Like This
As some of you in the UK will have heard on the news these past two days, Phil has gone missing. No one has seen him since Wednesday last week and we are all extremely concerned for his wellbeing as he has never missed a family gathering, such as that over Easter.
More distressing is that the office complex he works out of was broken into on the evening of Wednesday 27th March, and there is a very real worry that those responsible may be involved in Phil's disappearance.
The police are of the mind that all of this may have something to do with Phil's online work, and that a cartoon or comic may have been motive for an unbalanced party to act against him.
CCTV in Phil's office captured a handful of images as the intruders entered from the service access: http://www.collectedcurios.com/CCVT_001.jpg http://www.collectedcurios.com/CCVT_002.jpg http://www.collectedcurios.com/CCVT_003.jpg

Since the poll tells me that alot of you want a FoX contest I'm going to go for it and give yah all a contest...
Now judging from the poll the people whom want a contest is over 70 people, if I don't get at least a 4th of that (which is just 17 to 18 people) I'm pulling the contest and not going to have a second contest once the series is over.
The contest is simple -
There will be two catagories. Best Picture and Best Short Story and there must be at least 17 people entered for both to continue that particular catagory for contest or I will drop the catagory.

Yay for American Independence. No, really! An odd statement for a quasi-neo-imperialist to say, I know, but if the Colonials hadn't (justifiably) got shirty over lack of representation in Parliament, the British Empire would never have become the behemoth that it did.Yay for American Independence. No, really!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Thanks to the rebellion/revolution, the British Government changed the way it conducted itself so as to ensure such an incident would never happen again.
Had they not, a revolution similar to that seen in France, 1789, would have very likely occurred on home turf.
The French leadership maintained their "all powerful" fašade, and in assisting the American colonies, spent a fortune. This further angered their already irate people, who, in seeing that it could be done, decided to have a little revolution of their own.
So, with the economy booming thanks to renewed transatlantic trade between Fair Blighty and the newly formed United States and with Britain's arch enemy France focused on tearing itself apart, there was nothing to stop the Empire's expansion.

For several months of torture, the Directorate kept me in their offices, making me file paperwork on their "test subjects", all while I kept sending applications to the "Dead Zone tourism" branch, to get away from towering cubes of the Directorate, away from cities and transmitter towers that were slowly frying my brain.
Centuries of industrial pollution were inevitably changing the biosphere of our world and the Directorate knew it better than anyone, yet they did nothing to stop it, profit had to be maximized, production had to be increased, customers had to be satisfied. Holes in the ozone layer, irreversible changes in the atmosphere, radioactive fallout, wild-life mutations, the days growing darker and the sky turning black - none of this mattered to them.
These changes must have been so gradual that no single generation was able to protest it.
Everyone was happily, playfully, and joyfully ignoring the world outside o
Why Authors Kill Off CharactersI can actually answer this question, at least for myself. Coming from the perspective of a hopefully-soon-tobe-published author, I think killing off main characters is a sign of maturity as a writer. When authors coddle their characters and give them whatever they want, the end result is often spoiled, hard-to-relate-to characters who get happy endings handed to them on a silver platter. Take Twilight, for example. In all four 400-600 page novels, not one pivotal "good" character dies. And what are we left with? Little character development, no themes or lessons to be learned, and the acute feeling that the books were more like fairytales with all the characters skipping off into the sunset hand-in-hand. Admit it: you remember a book that made you cry more than a book that made you smile. Every classic novel that has withstood the test of time features some sort of death, agony, suffering or all of the above. Suffering builds character. And sometimes, killing a character is necessary fWhy Authors Kill Off Characters3 years ago in Personal More Like This

Fake DeviantsA teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up, not to rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now, even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bullies another child, they may say they're sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Copy and paste this if you are against bullying.Fake Deviants3 years ago in Personal More Like This

No but seriously, cars are the devil and if you don't need one, then don't be sad because you are still living in a land of rainbows and sunshine where the word "transmission" doesn't gives you hotflashes, make you shit yourself and curl in a ball for ten hours but not before crying into ice cream until it melts. [Just to clear it up, I didn't shit myself, but I did do the other things.]
I learned a few interesting things about cars since mine decided to play the "holy fucking shit god christ what is that noise?" game with me.
1. Don't wait even five minutes if your car even looks at you wrong. Smack it in its dumb rebellious face, put it on a leash and take it to the car vet pronto. [also works with children

It’s been reported that XboxOne sales have doubled since June 9th. You know what also happened June 9th? Kinect no longer being mandatory. I don’t often like to draw the “cause and effect” parallels, but this is too much of a coincidence to ignore. Also hilarious too, considering how adamant Microsoft was in keeping Kinect despite consumers telling them they don’t care anymore.
Sorry Microsoft and Xbox fans, but I can’t help but laugh at this piece of news.
The Falcon is the new Captain America
While Thor becoming a woman was loudly proclaimed, this news titbit seems to have slipped under the radar. The Falcon, Sam Wilson, will be taking over the role of Captain America after Steve Rogers loses his super strength. So, yup! New Black Captain America.
Like I mentioned before, while I don’t have a problem with shake ups like this, I do worry about their longevity. S

you may know about iBIONICLE his campaign to bring back bionicle. By sending a complaint to their site. I did because I love the stuff even though I am sceptical about what would happen to it, if it in fact would return. Would they make it as good as it was, or would it get a shitty TV show as well?
That being beside the point, I got an e-mail from the Dutch department of LEGO explaining this could not happen due to the development time of a new theme. Also something with THE LAW prevents them to make bionicle any more, why is not explained.
But then comes the almost insulting part. It is not the fact that they think I can't see the similarities between bionicle and herofactory by telling me it is an alternative NOOOHOHOOO. It is this sentence.... this one line of text that hit me like a backhand. And I quote/translate: "Did you know you can design and build your own HeroFactory models?'' And then they proceed to give me a link to their ''pick a brick'' page.

ESTABLISHING THE INITIAL STEPS FOR A WEBCOMICESTABLISHING THE INITIAL STEPS FOR A WEBCOMICESTABLISHING THE INITIAL STEPS FOR A WEBCOMIC2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Hi I’m Andrea Dotta: a Pro comic artist and animator and one year ago I had the insane idea of making a powerful webcomic to show my works to more people as possible. Now I’m in a positive development towards my goal. If you want to do a webcomic, always do your best as their are millions of webcomics on the internet.
In this article, I would like to share the things that I’ve learned this year so I hope you will get something from me.
IDEA: There are no bad ideas, there are only ideas that are not developed. To develop your idea, you need to be authentic - think of your real life experiences to give credibility to your story. If you need a sad story, think of a sad story in your life. If you want a happy story, think and say what i
You Should Be Reading Kamala Khan (aka: Ms Marvel)If you haven’t heard yet, Marvel is branching out quite a bit lately and introducing a bunch of new characters to their roster. Necessary Background Info
If you’re like me and don’t follow 100% what’s going on in DC or Marvel comics right now, some of the events in the story come across unexplained. So here’s a quick little explanation for the main reason of how Kamala gains her powers.
During the end of the “Infinity” storyline, a Terrigen Bomb was detonated in Earth's atmosphere during the Inhumans' fight with Thanos, releasing Terrigen Mist upon the planet. This caused anyone who was a descendant of an “Inhuman” to develop powers of their own.
In Ms Marvel #1 (part of the All-New Marvel NOW! Point One series), we follow the exploits of Kamala Khan, a Pakistani American teenager born and raised in New Jersey

Nintendo Direct unveiled a bunch of big announcements the other day, the highlights being a HD remake of Wind Waker, announcement of a new Zelda, a new Yoshi's Story game, a new 3D Mario game, a new Mario Kart game, and a new Smash Bros game to be unveiled at E3 this year. Other info like a possible sequel to Xenoblades, updates on Bayonetta 2, and a forthcoming WiiU firmware update that'll alleviate some of the sluggish load times and unlock the Virtual Console (as well as the announcement that Gamecube games and GBA games will be possibly sold in the eShop).
Quite a lot of info, but here's my question. Why is everyone surprised at it? I've lived through every console generation with Nintendo and I can honestly say, a lot of this wasn't really a surprise to me. Like, yeah of course they're gonna make a new Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and 3D Mario game. It's friggin' Nintendo. Why is that a surprise? It's not like those are second tier franchises like Metro

When the world is still at night
Moon will fade and Sun will die
When we come when dreams are high
Into Darkness all will fall
From planets great to seeds so small
Nightingale will cease its song
When evil wins it will be strong
But where there's night there is day
Where there's a will there's a way
Where darkness is there's always light
Given the chance it will shine bright
Hope may be so frail and shy
But as long as there's good it will never die,
So follow your dreams and look to the sky
For that is where I shall be when dreams are high
Yes, follow your dreams and look to the sky
For that is where I shall be when dreams are high
