Merida's Princess Makeover + Merida's CoronationMerida has been officially initiated into the glitz and glamour of the Disney Princess franchise as of May 11, 2013.Merida's Princess Makeover + Merida's Coronation3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Before that, however, Disney has decided to change her look up "a bit":
Basically she's slimmer, curvier, and more polished - which watching the movies and possessing vision would prove she is rather the opposite of.
Now we've seen pictures of redesigned Merida circling about the internet (to make her fit into the art style of the mass-produced version of the princesses no doubt) but this is I believe by far the worst example of her new look yet.
Fans are outraged, and I believe change.org says it best:
The redesign of Merida in advance of her official induction to the Disney Princess collection does a tremendous disservice to the millions of children for whom Merida is an empowering role model who speaks to girls' capacity to be change agen
Doctor Who! And heading out of town for a week.Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I've been dealing with some "life stuff" this past week so I haven't gotten much sculpting done. I do have a small pile of rainbow dragons on my desk, along with a couple bigger guys, but I haven't glazed them yet. I'm heading out of town tomorrow to visit family for about a week, so the next batch listing won't be until late next week sometime.Doctor Who! And heading out of town for a week.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
On another note, I've just started watching Doctor Who the past couple weeks! If you care nothing for the show you should probably not bother reading past this point. It's a bit of a rant
I actually tried to watch the reboot with the 9th Doctor like a year ago, and found it just...weird. I even gave it a few episodes and then gave up, completely confused as to why people even like the show. Then I randomly watched a newer episode on TV recently. It was the very first episode with Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor, and I loved it! So I gave it another shot. It was a little hard to get into Eccleston, but by t

Sara here, another side of Keypers Cove... and I had a few announcements for y'all.
Firstoff, everyone but me has taken a two week vacation to Scotland, so I'm here running the company and doing the work of three people by myself. So if you email or note us and it takes a little longer to get a response I apologize. I'm doing my best.
Second, we are having a spring sale for the next two weeks, so feel free to visit our store www.etsy.com/shop/KeypersCove and keep me busy!
Third, I am uploading 20 new keys a day for the next week (give or take), so there will be tons to choose from.
Fourth I uploaded some keys to our Ebay http://www.ebay.com/usr/keypers_cove (hopefully that link works) There are 5 keys up starting at $0.99, so happy bidding! No reserve.
Everyone gets back in two weeks, so things should be back to normal by April 17th or so.
Thanks to all our faithful followers, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you!
Wack'em Sinteeeeek 13HD ReviewHiya Ryceballs. As some of you know, I was askin for opinions a few journals back about the Wacom Cintiq, you lovely people gave me some great advice and tips and one even went as far as to find me an Australian website with a cheaper price. And she saved me $200, so special thanks to KokoroKanon for doing that. So yes I have been using the Wacom for more than a week now, I didn't wanna write a review until I get the SmudgeGuard, a SmudgeGuard is pretty much looks like a glove cut in half, it looks like a futuristic glove in Minority Report, the reason I wanted a SmudgeGuard is because I tend to get sweaty hands so I did not wanna dirty the Cintiq screen at all, it costed me around $20 to get that. An alternative is just buy a cheap glove and cut off the top three fingers.... you can then use the cut off three fingers glove and put it on your head so you can pretend to be chicken.Wack'em Sinteeeeek 13HD Review2 years ago in Personal More Like This
OK so was the Cintiq what I expected? Well pretty much yea. Its a nice little screen th

i´m writing this lines, but i don´t know why.
maybe because i´m hoping to find some consolation in it.
we spend so much of our lives,
not saying the things we want to say.
the things we should say.
we speak in code and send little messages,
i will miss you- very much.
now- is the best time. to be alone if you need to, to stay with family or friends, to find love.
to enjoy every moment. it´s okay.

I am still unsure if it is safe to come out from behind the sofa? But thought I should put something up on my profile page not only to say thank you, but to also appologise for simply not having the time to answer everyone's comments, faves and watches - I know a lot of people rush to say they have been overwhelmed and don't have time to answer everyone, and in the past I have always tried to answer every piece of correspondence - but to give you some idea as to the scale of the situation - over the weekend I have recieved around 600 comments, 6000 faves and 540 new watchers for which I am still in a state of shock! I will get around to responding to all the comments, and watchers and as many of the faves as possible - but it is going to take me a very long time
So just wanted to put this up on my profile page to say thank you, thank you

Busy, busy, busy times here. Been trying to score the last contest, but it's so hard to choose a winner. Such good entries, I will try my best to have them up before I go on holidays.
I WILL BE AWAY
From the 19th to the 26th of April. Going to a luxury hotel in a tourist destination in my state called Broome. Excited. Won the trip there.
Current running contest. I have noticed very little interest for the current contest I have running... Therefore, I have decided that it is too difficult and too in detail. No one WANTS to work hard during a contest. Therefore. I will be submitting a different contest... A simpler one. Anyone who has started that contest, I apologise, but, don't worry, an easier one is on the way.

OK, first off, I know we have a contest going on, and many of you are probably busy with that, but I have yet another thing to busy you with; please forgive me.
It is what I am going to call, *The Hiddles Project.*
I was commenting a "letter to Tom" for one of :iconLoki-Hiddleston:'s polls and thought, hey, I have an idea.
So here it goes!
You may write a letter to Tom Hiddleston telling him of how he inspires/has inspired you, how great he is in his films, or whatever you wish to say to him! It can be any length you wish, but I'd prefer if you kept it to a reasonable limit. (Also, please keep it appropriate, people). At the end of the given time period, I will take all of the letters I recieve and post it here on dA as a huge compilation of letters to Tom. Then I will send him the link over Twitter and ~hope hope hope~ like crazy that he clicks it and discovers all of our heartfelt letters.
I wrote him a letter myself and e

Meditation on my 2nd D.D. When you consider that I just recieved my second Daily Deviation with the bird at the upper left of the page, and that my first was the monochrome dove below, you see very far into me, and as one photographer so aptly put, to "the layers of love in my soul." Roger Tory Peterson said that we watch birds because of their, "vividness," coining a word that didn't exist until then, but the only word that has ever described for me what their aliveness does to my heart. For that reason, I took to trying to capture that feeling for all I was worth, at a time when my life was due to end. "Whatever you do," said the oncologist, "don't go outside in the winter time. The cold will not mix well with chemotherapy." But I sat outside in my bathrobe and overcoat, in spite of him, all covered in snow, looking at birds through a lens, saying to myself, "while my days last, I'll do as I please." And birds, common birds, were my cure. I tMeditation on my 2nd D.D.2 years ago in Personal More Like This

A Expose-Lit Guide
We all need to.
Ponder, for a moment, these questions:
1. What was the first piece you ever wrote? How bad was it? How far have you come? 2. What is your favourite piece of literature? For how long had its writer been writing when he/she wrote it? How far have you got to go until you can write that well?
Assuming you’re somewhere between Total Beginner and Literary Genius, you have already travelled some distance along the path to better writing, but the way is long and you have many miles to go. Most published authors are just dallying at inns down side alleys a few miles ahead, exhausted or daunted by the length of the long, long road.
Catch them up, steal their pony, and gallop ahead laughing.
Because – though this may surprise you – good writing is more likely to get: a Daily Deviation, feature, prize, comment, favourite, or solicitation for publication (yes this
