Assassin's Creed: Over-saturationI'm really looking forward to this new Assassin's Creed game, Assassin's Creed: Over-saturation. It's going to be really good, being marginally different to the previous one and coming out roughly a year later.
In all seriousness, though, has anyone else realised how much Ubisoft are milking Assassin's Creed? They've just announced this little bugger:
And, despite the fact that new generations of consoles are coming out soon, Black Flag is reportedly going to be on the current generation of systems.
That will make the Assassin's Creed games on the PS3/360:
Assassin's Creed II
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Assassin's Creed III
Assassin's Creed IV/Black Flag
That's six games for a single franchise on one gaming system (excluding DLC content). Even other milked gaming franchises like Kingdom Hearts haven't managed to pull t

Before diving into this, I think some background would be useful. When she was young, she had dreams. Dreams of shining and of making others shine. She made herself and others look beautiful; for that initial interim she held high. When she fell (south of Ponyville, Old Manehattan-land) her dreams became nightmares, seizing her by the hoof and never letting go. She was taken and put into a bed of rust and red crosses. I was one of the few who had the time to give. She wanted me dead but it pained her to see me walk out those sliding doors.
Now, I won't pretend I understand. I never will know what she went through for those ten months and two days. She had a constant sting in her side that she claimed she could only numb by sticking her head in the stove. Her nightmares became easier during this time. And I like to think that I did my best in the time that she had to make her comfortable, even when the sting became too painful to breathe.
But let it be known that this w

I was alone within the most private of all places. I had always been curious as to what may have existed behind that door, and finally the knowledge was mine for the taking; Rarity had allowed me into her Inspiration Room. She was still cleaning herself up in the bathroom, but I imagined that she would be quick it was a bold move indeed to let me into the room without supervision, and I did not believe that she would allow me to have free-access to roam for long. For a little while, however, the interior of her world was mine to gaze upon, as long as I restrained myself from touching anything. Thankfully, I had received no warning about looking upon her great trove of treasured possessions, and I found myself doing just that.
It was truly mesmerising how organised chaos could be perceived. To me, the room was the direct antithesis to Rarity's normal argument of cleanliness; here she allowed materials to fall with reckless abandon, pooling in mass
Fluttershy Character ReviewReviewing the character of Fluttershy is certainly no easy task. After all, she's arguably the most-loved character within the show and the certified fan-favourite for many, so much so that criticising her character would lead to a lot of dissent amongst the masses. Indeed, finding something mean to say about Fluttershy would be reductive and not terribly necessary, as anyone who has watched "Friendship is Magic" for more than ten minutes knows how adorably sweet she is. And, in a show that actively promotes friendship, kindness and positivity, it would be counter-productive to insult Fluttershy, when she is the greatest embodiment of everything that the show represents.Fluttershy Character Review4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
But what is it about Fluttershy that makes her so appealing to many? It could be her graceful appearance: a subtle and soft yellow with the trademark long, pink tail and mane which serves as a protective barrier that she can frequently hide behind. After all, that namesake, Fluttershy, is not without merit, for her shy
Pinkie Pie Character ReviewTrue story when I first decided to write this review, it was simply going to read, "She's just being Pinkie Pie", as I felt that this would be the perfect way to summarise her detailed and intricate character. But then I figured that that would be taking the easy way out, and thus decided to write a full-size review for Pinkie Pie. After all, she deserves just as much analysis as every other character within the mane cast, even if trying to rationalise Pinkie Pie's behaviour is something of an impossible task at times.Pinkie Pie Character Review4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Pinkie Pie is the sort of character that makes a fan-base. Whereas some characters rightfully deliver their own iconic lines and meme-worthy phrases, Pinkie Pie is in a league of her own. This is because her character is noticeably different from the rest of the mane cast, placing her in a position almost outside of the usual narrative of "Friendship is Magic". She can be a narrator for events outside of her control; she can break the fourth wall with glances to t
Friendship is Magic: a ReviewNostalgia can be a funny thing it's the sort of emotional impulse that makes a man do crazy things. Things like purchasing the "Sonic Underground" box-set, simply because I enjoyed it as a kid. But there's something inherently disappointing about nostalgia; the realisation that these experiences often remain a part of our childhood for a reason. Watching "Sonic Underground" as a 19-year old is a very different experience to watching it as a youngster on Saturday mornings. The once beloved show now appears to me as a train-wreck of embarrassing musical montages, repetitive pacing and rather dated animation. Getting old is no fun when it brings out the critic within.Friendship is Magic: a Review4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Thankfully, I have re-ignited that joyous spark of infancy after watching "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"; a show that for me is not mired by any form of nostalgic bias. After all, prior to "Friendship is Magic" I'd never even considered watching anything related to the My Little Pony franchise. Having watched s
Applejack Character ReviewIt comes as something of a surprise that Applejack represents the spirit of Honesty within "Friendship is Magic". Although one would scarcely dare to call Applejack a liar, Honesty is perhaps not her greatest virtue. Nevertheless, Applejack has so many positive attributes honesty included that her representation in the Pilot as this particular embodiment of the Elements of Harmony makes sense, even if it seems a little odd at first. After all, what else would Applejack represent? Her character within the show is synonymous with both a maturity beyond her years and an unmatched compassion for her peers, to the extent that she becomes, to this viewer, the unofficial leader of the group.Applejack Character Review4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Although it is well-established that Twilight Sparkle is the 'main' member of the core six, Applejack has more qualities that could be associated to a lead protagonist. Her behaviour is almost always optimistic; rarely do we see an example where she succumbs to defeat or negativity, even whe

#97) I am an open brony with everyone, except my parents. I'd tell them, but my dad will not approve. He even disapproved and called me gay when I was really into "Phineas and Ferb". Imagine if he found out [about "Friendship is Magic"]! There's no way he would approve. But I want to buy merchandise, shirts, and other stuff. So what do you think I should do about telling my parents?
Answer: Your dad sounds like a royal prick. I don't know what his upbringing was like, but your sexuality isn't defined by watching a simple TV show. "Phineas and Ferb" might be geared towards an audience younger than yourself, but I'm not sure why it would be considered, in his eyes, to be 'gay'. I think he might be getting mixed up between watching something that's distinctly effeminate and watching something that targets kids in general. If anything, "Phineas and Ferb" is a show pitched at boys (although, naturally, it does have universal appeal) and so I can see why you'd be worried about
Rarity Character ReviewAt times it seems as if the character of Rarity in "Friendship is Magic" is unfairly treated. Some accuse her of being self-obsessed and shallow, whilst others contend that she is their least favourite pony. And sure, Rarity may not be the most adorable of ponies, but this does not mean that she doesn't have an appeal entirely of her own. Fans are rightly divided when it comes to Rarity, but few could deny the maturity and elegance that she conveys at every opportunity.Rarity Character Review4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Her obsession with fashion and looking appealing can be both blatant and subtle. At times, such as in "A Bird in the Hoof" Rarity is seen leaving the party whilst demanding that other ponies remain away from her, as to prevent her dress from getting touched by their dirty hooves. Similarly, in "Dragonshy" Rarity packs an extra scarf, presumably because, regardless of the situation, she wishes to look good. These are just two examples of Rarity at her most extreme, but they are by no means the only situations where Rarit

"It all looks so beautiful."
"Sir, you flatter me too much."
There was no compliment that I could give that would be deemed 'too much' when this unicorn was concerned. Her voice was a comforting symphony to me. It sounds abstract to say that, but the natural rhythm of the world had always proven itself to be of great interest to me. Music, or indeed particular pitches and tones, had forever been a great indicator of how I would come to feel about somepony. An oafish-sounding ruffian-pony would receive little of my time and less of my patience; a savvy-businesspony of a crystalline complexion and voice would leave me feeling cold and resentful. When this unicorn spoke, however, her dialect and diction denoted something incredible to me; it was a voice that one could fall in love with, and a soothing rhythm if ever I heard one.
It must sound ridiculous to the untrained ear that I would spend such a long time fascinating myself with the dalliance of the un
When My Little Pony Meets Horny TeenagersYou remember the My Little Pony from the eighties, don't you? Even if you didn't grow up with it, you most likely know of its existence. Those pudgy plastic collectable figures and the nostalgically bad kid's TV show to accompany them were very much a product of the times, embodying the consumer Zeitgeist of the period. And now we look back on their evanescence with misty eyes, firmly believing that they deserved the 'young-girl' tag that went with the product. When My Little Pony Meets Horny Teenagers3 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
It must largely be the visual appeal of the 2010 re-boot of the franchise, "Friendship is Magic", that has made a whole group of older individuals into fans. Those old, chubby ponies are now slender, beautifully animated characters with big, jewel-like eyes. And we must focus on the visual superiority of these ponies, and the popularity of "Friendship is Magic" with an older demographic, in order to understand why there has been such an influx in pornographic content regarding these equines.
Undoubtedly there was My Little Pony

#64) I'm at college and my room-mate doesn't know that I like MLP. I'm embarrassed to mention it to him, but it's a problem because I can't draw or watch ponies with him in the room...which is all the time. What advice do you have for me?
Answer: I think you should be at an age now where you should be accepted for your inoffensive interests. He probably has his own interests that could be seen as embarrassing. You're living together for the foreseeable future, and so it's not healthy to keep something to yourself that you want to be a part of. It won't be much fun spending an entire year, or perhaps longer, hiding your interest and avoiding drawing and so on.
Don't make an effort to 'tell' him: that's making it more important than it needs to be. Just do what you usually do draw ponies and watch the episodes on Youtube or whatever. If he asks what you're watching, again, don't go overboard. Announcing that you're a 'brony' is unnecessary. Just say that it's a show

"It is you! I thought I recognised that face!"
"Thank you for agreeing to meet with me on such short notice."
This pony was an old friend of mine from my Manehattan days. I was fortunate to still be in contact with several of my childhood associates, many of whom were now employed in rather high-profile positions. This particular pony, who I failed to avoid calling by his first name even now that we were old and formal, had chosen to pursue a career in journalism. Although he had always had an interest in writing as a colt, his dreams had initially been to leave the Manehattan area. And although he did report in various places around Equestria, he was still living in Manehattan to this very day. He was a good fellow; the kind that one could rely on in a difficult position, and the sort of companion that one did not need to speak with on a regular basis in order to know of the unspoken but ever-prevalent friendship that existed. He was beaming from ear-to

#67) Is clopping bad? I've done it before and I don't really understand why other bronies find it disgusting. Maybe it's just me. >.<
Answer: With the amount of clopping questions I receive with this column, it's hardly a wonder why a lot of people think that bronies are sexual deviants. Now, in terms of your question itself, the fact that you don't see why other people might find it disgusting is worrying, because you're admitting to not being able to contemplate why people would think it odd to masturbate to cartoon animals.
To be honest, to apply a label of 'bad' on clopping is a big generalisation, as it all comes down to opinion. It is my opinion that, while masturbating to ponies in itself isn't a problem, the content itself is bad, insofar as that shit seems to be everywhere. What's worse than being into it, though, is being proud of it. It's one thing to masturbate to ponies if that's what turns you on, there's no point in holding back on it just because

#110) What would you say are the biggest misconceptions society at large has about the MLP fan community? Also, what would you say are the worst assumptions society has made about MLP fans that, unfortunately, are generally true?
Answer: I'm not sure how aware of the MLP fandom society at large is, and so I'd first point out that the majority of people do not, and will not ever, have any knowledge of the bronies. Those who do know of them, though, seem to have different perceptions, most of which appear to be negative. Having spoken to a few members of the public about "Friendship is Magic", a common misconception seems to be that the people who make up the brony fandom are either paedophiles or homosexuals (sadly, being gay is still treated as a bad thing by many).
Liking something designed for kids obviously raises assumptions, but it's doubtful that many bronies are paedophiles, and neither would I argue that bronies are more likely to be paedophiles simply because of
