and a furnace in a pear tree. well, Terraria is [hopefully] close to updating to 1.3, although it's beginning to feel a lot like the Aether II mod; ton's of promises but obviously a myth. anyways, I did these when I did that item chartbut never got them on. I think it's about time I posted them. now, the soul of twilight is just a recolor, but I wanted it to be the same as all the other souls, which are recolors of themselves. I tried dark blue and purple at first to make it more twilighty, but none of the colors were working out.
1: Vile Staff type: weapon subtype: melee sub-subtype: spear damage: 81 knockback: 5 max stack: 1 velocity: 14 rarity: cyan use time: 19 (very fast) tooltip: "Suck the life from your enemies!" sell: 1 platinum 50 gold effects: launches a projectile that breaks into life stealing leaches on contact. leaches restore life equal to 25% damage inflicted notes: one of the more difficult items to craft, it would require both the crimson exclusive Vampire Knives and the corruption exclusive Scourge of the Corruptor. considering keys only have a 0.04% (1 in 2500) chance of dropping from enemies in their respective worlds, this item would be one of the rarest items in the games. it would be well worth it though, as it steals much more life than the Vampire knives and has the same firing pattern as the Scourge of the Corruptor. this would be one of the better items to use against the True Destroyer/Cthulhu Cortex.
materials needed: Vampire Knifes Scourge of the Corruptor 30 souls of night crafting station: titanimantite anvil
2: Celebration sword type: weapon subtype: melee sub-subtype: sword damage: 82 knockback: 9 max stack: 1 velocity: 17 rarity: cyan use time: 23 (fast) tooltip: "It's time to celebrate!" sell: 1 platinum 10 gold effects: autoswing, spawns homing stars upon contact w/enemy. stars "explode" on contact and cause splash damage to nearby enemies notes: the stars move quite quickly across the screen, so it might be hard to see what is going on if a lot of them spawn. the stars provide the same amount of light as a fallen star and have the same particle effect. while not as powerful as The Cyborg's Blade, the collective splash damage can do quite a bit more damage and is useful against hordes. unlike the Vile staff, it's melee counterpart, both swords needed to make it can be obtained in a single world, however, the crafting station required needs at least two worlds (one for adamantite and one for titanium).
materials needed: the horseman's blade christmas tree sword 30 souls of light crafting station: titanimantite anvil
3: The Cyborg's Blade type: weapon subtype: melee sub-subtype: sword damage: 93 knockback: 8 max stack: 1 velocity: 15 rarity: cyan use time: 21 (fast) tooltip: none sell: 20 platinum 50 gold effects: autoswing, spawns homing probes upon contact w/enemy notes: uncraftable, this weapon has a 1 in 3 chance of dropping from the True Destroyer/Cthulu Cortex (magic and range counterparts drop the other 2 times). this weapon is essentially an upgraded The Horseman's Blade and functions the same way. however, unlike the pumpkin heads, probes emit light and travel quite a bit faster.
materials needed: uncraftable
4: Death's Breath type: weapon subtype: melee sub-subtype: sword (leftclick)/spear (rightclick) damage: 138 knockback: 7 max stack: 1 velocity: 12 rarity: gold use time: 25 (average) tooltip: the embodiment of terraria itself sell: 20 platinum 50 gold leftclick: autoswing, spawns homing probes upon contact w/enemy (probes do same amount of damage as blade) rightclick: behaves like scourge of the corruptor/vile staff; launches 3 projectile blades that steal life (10% of damage inflicted) blade does not swing notes: would be the largest and most powerful sword in the game. one of the few weapons that have two functions, the first activated by normal left clicking, the other by right clicking. the death's breath, along with it's range and magic counterparts, would take the most materials to make of any item and would require both a corruption and a crimson world to make.
materials needed: Terra Blade Vile Staff Celebration Sword The Cyborg's Blade 30 demonite bars 30 crimetane bars 50 souls of twilight crafting station: titanimantite anvil
5: Soul of Twilight type: crafting material max stack: 999 rarity: yellow tooltip: "The essence of utter destruction" sell: 3 gold 20 silver notes: this has a 100% drop rate from the True Destroyer/Cthulu Cortex. Souls of Twilight are required to make all gold tier items, including the Death's Breath. the first time one of the True bosses are defeated grants exactly 50, but from there on it ranges from 30-60.
6: Titanimantite Anvil type: furniture placeable: yes dimensions: 2 wide ˣ 1 high max stack: 99 rarity: blue use time 14 tooltip: Used for the most advanced crafting sell: 3 gold notes: the most advanced anvil, this station requires both adamantite and titanium to make. an upgrade to the mythril/orichalum anvil, it can craft all of the same recipes as its predecessor along with the craftable blue and gold tier items.
7: Advanced Furnice type: furniture placeable: Yes dimensions: 3 wide ˣ 2 high max stack: 99 rarity: blue use time: 14 tooltip: Used to smelt armor shards sell: 50 gold notes: like the titanimantite anvil, this furnace requires both adamantite and titanium to make, as well as armor shards, which only drop from the True bosses. this furnace's only real purpose is to smelt armor shards, but can be used to craft all of it's proceeding furnaces' recipes.
A new style used for the Steampunker / Terraria NPC i change her hair style for something more closed to Ofelie Steampunker because i like more the hair style she used. also the style that i use is a mix between Bryan Lee O'Malley ( creator of the comic Scott pilgrim vs the world ) and some personal cosmetic and proportion changes, with a color application that i used frequently from Jaltoid Style.
After the castle I built and allowed Danionart to put on youtube here www.youtube.com/watch?v=je4Fwq… even though there are still changed I want to make to it which I will post some other time, I wanted to continue building new awesome things in new worlds. I build everything by hand, farm all the materials myself, so these obviously take a while.
This particular creation is inspired by Star Wars' Endor which features in Episode VI. There is an obvious Death Star in the corner with a nice area where you can stand and dual with "phasesabers". And on the surface below, there is a collection of tree dwellings inspired by the Ewoks' tree huts. Obviously I put my own twist to some of the places. For example, I don't know what Ewok can play the piano or would build a grand domed suite at the top of a tree. But that's what makes this creation more fancy I think and it also makes it my own.
Terraria has got to be one of my favorite games. If you guys have any suggestions of what I can build next, do let me know.
I really wish that I could stream while I build or at least record it so you guys can see how I make things but I don't have a strong enough computer. Not even for this low graphic game which is quite sad. It'll be a while before I can upgrade it but for now, I'll just post pictures of the end results.
I hope you like it and I hope it inspires you to make cool things as well.
After my sphere house project I kept thinking about: What if i made a square housing. But for the longest time I didn't do anything with it since just a square house would be so boring. That was, until I thought about the possibility of making multiple squares, with the different biomes inside them. I already had some practice on making artificial biomes with my jungle dome, but this turned out to be trickier than i anticipated, getting everything to grow just as I intended, and making sure the different biomes (and most specificly the hallowed and corrupted biome) didn't infect each other took some time and planning, along with gathering the materials (why oh why did I opt for cobalt brick walls in the hallways... I feel like slapping myself!).
But now that it is finally done atleast I can say I'm very pleased with the result, and hope Other people will enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed coming up with, and making this thing.
