and then got redrawn, changed and upgraded about 20 times, hundreds of pages discarded as i progressed

aaand they seem to like it XD
buut for a democratic balance, i did find one that pretty much reviews it as worst comic aver XD
this is a very good thing. hype needs to be kept in check.
ultimately tho , like any other story, ravine is what you bring with you into it.
if you enter as a cynic, refusing to suspend your disbelief, it will be a pile of ass. same can be said for pret

style is just how the artist feels like treating his or her world at any given time!
it is influenced by the styles of other artists the artist admires
it is an amalgamation of influences mixed with personal sensibility....
it is perpetually changing and evolving
and it is not a trademarked property
see, i personally am a mix of influences from michael turner , adam hughes, marc silvestri, alex ross a few concept artist, and my design is greatly influenced by stan winston studio
my cartoonyer style is influenced greatly by disney and don bluth with a dash of manga and a healthy dose of j scott campbell who can probably tell you a similar story about the origins of his own style
its the nature of humanity people.
we stand on each others shoulders striving for greatness. so too will i influence quite a few artists who will adapt my own approaches into their workflow.
also.... i'm batman!
just to see who is still reading XD

also pagecount is wrong, it is 140 pages
first issue is 10$
after that 15
for each issue. that on average brings you a series of fantasy graphic novels of 140 pages each.. later some even more..cough
value to eny comic reader is i think obvious, every 4 months you get one issue, that in pagecount equals over 6 standard 4$ issues that are usually done. my idea is a simple one. i dont want to drain people for the small floppy issues and have forced cliffhangers every 20 pages.
i want to make a true full blooded fantasy story, and for that, i need me a nice pagecount XD
but no worries, its loaded with dragons n stuff XD
ravine issue 2 is out in septembershould ave been august, but some unexpected problems popped out ...i hate unexpected problems....ravine issue 2 is out in september8 months ago in Personal More Like This
cause..yknow..expected ones are just friggin awesome XD
anyhoo issue 1 will be reprinted too and available.
about the books themselves. each issue is a 160 page graphic novel. of that book 1 is 120 pages of comic, and 40 pages of bonus world material. sort of an encyclopaedic, not necessary, but tasty fluff,
book 2 is 135 pages of comic and 25 pages of fluffy side stuff
series itself will consist of 12 books. so by is end it will be about 1500 pages of one single fantasy tale
early previews for boo 2 are here, and soon the ones with final text and lettering will be shown, online so i will link those when they are up
books are available for preorder through amazon , and pretty much any comic book store or top cow.
dumb thought of the dayevery now and then i get these stupid ideas.dumb thought of the day2 years ago in Personal More Like This
so here is the latest one...if gravity affects time, meaning stronger the gravity, more time is affected. and if the presumption is true that strong enough gravity can stop time..within a black hole
black hole has the mass of the collapsed star.... so... just before big bang we had all the cosmos compressed in a singular point with immeasurable mass, right?
that would mean that it is a ... sort of a non state point... a non event since time is in effective stasis.. space and time compressed in a singular point.
so an event has to transpire that was superior to all those 4 dimensions....
above time and space...
either this proves there is a God... or...doctor who is actually real!!!!!
yeah.... my mind is silly like that XD
aand just a warning if you take any of this seriously.....wwwow....i... damn! XD
video tutorialsso as many of you have noticed first one is up...in which i am dealing with a badass case of pollen allergy. for the curious ones, the sound i keep making that sounds like i ate a chiuaua whole is me trying to scratch the back of my throat... and ears..and eyes..and brain at the same time...video tutorials1 year ago in Personal More Like This

san diego and la comission plansso i'll probably take on about ten commissions before san diego. maybe more if time permits it tho not guaranteed. i will be doing it either in shaded pencil as i have rekindled my love towards it, or ballpoint pen, which is one of my favorite tools. prices will range from 70 bucks for a bust piece to 100 full body to 200 with full bg, to multiple characters which is negotiable. this is pretty much for people who can either come to pick them up on sand diego comic con or during my signing and sketching in los angelessan diego and la comission plans10 months ago in Personal More Like This
all of dourse on a3 boards. in croatia it is the closest thing we got to 11by 17 comic board. XD
anyhow, see you in san diego , well those of you who plan on coming. i will also be doing signings and sketchings in comic stores in los angeles. schedule of that to come soon
and this is how you make a brush XDokay, so next week i will have actual video tuts of my own with audio showing some brush tips, but till then...and this is how you make a brush XD1 year ago in Personal More Like This
MY WIFE HAS HAD TUTORIALS ON THAT FOR OVER A YEAR AGOOOOOO!!!!
but googling how to make brushes in photoshop is soo tiresome ...
so, here is where you find her video containing that stuff
and here is a folder full of here tuts on brushes and other stuff
look through all of it if you want to learn some neat stuff.
then after actually trying some of it out, you will understand better how i do my stuff.
and then next week you will hear my charming lovely voice ranting about photoshoppin XD
should be fun, and seriously, my voice is ooh so sexy XDXDXDXDXD... with a slight hard r russianish accent XD
you know hov ve keep varm in croatia.... ve play...hm... diablo XD
so you want to be a professional XDokay, time for another journalso you want to be a professional XD1 year ago in Personal More Like This
so i keep getting the same questions over and over again. how did i learn to do this.
i was self taught. by this i mean, i took the initiative and seeked out the knowledge, as no one was offering it.
i draw on average 8 to 10 hours a day, every day. by average i mean that some days its 6 and some 12
so... the argument.
i keep hearing this one. well i want to be a professional artist, but life is hard, i need to work, i don't really have the time....
let me put things in perspective here.
i used to work as a night guard on the beach. every single night from 8 pm to s6 am. after that i would go meet up with my dad who gouarded another beach to get a cup of coffee. we had a bite to eat, and then both went to haul and sell fruits and vegetables.
every evening i was drawing. when the sun set i sat under a street lamp and drew through the night.
every night. this was on occasion interrupted by a fight with some exceedingly drunk people who wouldn't
A note on popularitySomeone recently told me they saw my Aladdin/AC crossover pics and that they weren't impressed. They seemed to be implying that I was "selling out" in order to get more views.A note on popularity1 year ago in Personal More Like This
With regards to popularity: I am not in charge of what other users find fave-worthy. I never expected my silly crossover doodles to become as popular as they did. To me, art is about drawing what I want, not what other people want me to draw. That may sound cliché, but it's the truth. I draw a lot of fan art because it inspires me personally. I don't expect everyone to like it. If you're not impressed by my stuff, I'm sure there are lots of other (better) artists out there for you to follow.
P.S. Stop worrying so much about what makes it to the front page. We all know there's better stuff on DA that doesn't get enough attention. That's not the artists' fault. If I can live with all the fetish photography and inflation art, you can live with my crossover doodles for one day.
