I have a friend who loves penguins. She thinks they're adorable, and collects little penguin figurines. She even had a penguin wedding cake topper. I have another friend who adores alligators for some reason. She thinks they're so fun, and has several stuffed ones. Well, I've loved big cats for most of my life, but never really had a single species I liked more than the rest. Now, I find that I love bison, especially the white ones. They're my new favorite animal, and I have no idea why.
I'm developing a new furry character that's a white bison named Skyriver, but this isn't specifically that character. I just wanted to have a tiny buffalo (bison) so I sculpted it and painted it. I wanted it to have the feel of a buffalo, the shape and the bulk. While this little guy is about 2 inches long and an inch and a half tall, he really does feel right. I don't know if I'd ever go so far as to name it my totem animal, but I do feel some kind of calledness when I look at this little guy as he thunders across my desk.
So tell me what you think of totem animals. Do you have one? How did you know? I'm curious. Call it a social survey.
If anyone is interested, this little fella falls into the "small clay sculptures" category of my commissionables. Check out the devID section of my page for prices and contact info.

I was making Shademons for 3 years, and a year ago I decided to stop. I made too many and got sick of their design. I thought that if I would ever come back and re-make them, they would be totally different. But after starting working on a master model I realized that just sculpting prototypes more professionally but leaving the design basically the same will be much better idea. There was so many people who wanted a Shademon but never had a chance to get one, so I tried my best to recreate them as they remembered.
Shademons are little demons that live in the shadow dimension and sometimes come into our own to make small harmless pranks. Most of times they come out and make noises at night that creep out people who can’t sleep.
20cm (8 inches) tall. Details are cast in resin and the body is soft (no joints or skeleton armature inside).
Attention! This is a piece of art. Not a toy for small children. Completely handmade, one of a kind.SOLD.
Adorable is the Best word I can think of when I look at this little dragon pendant. its one of my personal favorites. Its a hand made original, its about 2 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches wide with about an inch of thickness. Its light weight and made with premo polymer clay, premo polymer clay has a unique feature that's different to most of the polymer clay brands out there, it is very durable and has a bit of flexibility after baking, which protects the peice from breakage.
its signed work and a new design from me. its hand painted with shimmery silver paint. and exhibits very expressive glass eyes.
pendant comes with a 18 inch black suede necklace and silver findings available for sale on etsy [link]?
Another White Wolf Spirit Healing Bracelet, since I wanted to try a different combination of stones with powerful metaphysical healing properties.
This particular bracelet is composed amethyst, clear quartz crystal, alternating silver-tone pewter leaf and ethnic beads, a pewter howling wolf charm, and a small glass charm bottle filled with naturally shed white wolf fur.
NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED in the creation of this bracelet. The naturally shed wolf fur contained within the charm bottle was collected from animals residing at nature centers and wildlife sanctuaries during their spring shedding process.
Bracelet measures approximately 7 inches, not including the clasp.
This piece is currently for sale on ArtFire, along with wolf, Gray Wolf, Timber Wolf, Arctic wolf, Black Wolf, Black Bear, Buffalo, Arctic Fox, Silver Fox, Red Fox, White Western Coyote, and Eastern Coyote bracelets of similar designs. (I always donate a portion of my sales to the animal sanctuaries I support!)
If you would like to purchase this bracelet or any of my other work, please go to [link] while it is still available!
These bracelets are signature jewelry, which means they have a few special markings on them that only I know how to place on my own handmade jewelry. They are small, faint, and hidden, so are not noticeable unless one looks very hard and does not mistake them for natural markings. These ensure that nobody else can copy my design and make counterfeit bracelets. So please do not try. Thanks!
After a long day of making cider Applejack just needs to kick back and relax!
Sitting Applejack is my half of a trade with the fabulous *SpaceVoyager and is not for sale. She is made from minky with appliqued satin eyes. Her hat is wool felt with a bit of wire in the edge of the brim to give it shape.
