The Citadel was a complete mess. Buildings still had holes in them. The blood of the fallen still covered the walls. But people still lived on as though nothing had happened a few weeks ago, they still went to shop at the local stores, they still went to see the new Blasto movie, and they still gossiped about John Shepard's relationship status.
Maybe he's into Asari, thought some.
Maybe he likes only humans, hoped others.
But they were all wrong. He did not enjoy any of those as mates. No he had preferred the most unbelievable of choices. He had preferred Quarians. Specifically Tali Zorah vas Normandy.
Unfortunately no one but a few of the crew of the Normandy SR2 knew about this relationship. The rest of the universe was completely oblivious. They still tried to get with the Universe's Hero.

It was a soon as those words left his mouth that Tali had finally realized what he was asking. John Shepard was asking to spend more time with her. In Public. With her.
Suddenly Tali's emotions exploded into utter bliss. She hugged Shepard even tighter than before and began to cry her tears of happiness and replied "Yes! A thousand times yes Shepard!"
"Well that's good because if you had said no I might not have survived the trauma of rejection" he replied with a chuckle. This resulted in a chuckle from her lips as well, replacing the tears of happ
Tali's Hangover Tali laughs drunkenly, swaying in her chair like Joker's making the Normandy do barrel rolls again. Her hand is sliding across the table in a dozen different directions and sending brandy in a dozen more. The only thing still dry is herself by some strange miracle. She raises her drink high above her head. “And to Miranda.”
I can't help but laugh as she tries to finish another sentence and get the emergency induction port/straw into her helmet. Neither want to cooperate in the slightest. Her words become a muddled mess of syllables that no one can decode, and the straw runs from her clutching fingers. It's almost like watching a three-year-old try to learn how to write whi
Mass Effect: Sorrowful Hearts Tali was lost in her thoughts while in the Normandy's elevator. The rides between decks were normally quick, but today they felt like hours. She wanted to speak with Shepard, but every time she thought about him her heart would sink. Something was bothering her. Something wasn't right. Why did she feel this way? The quarian had thought about him many times and it was only in his absence that she had ever felt this way. But this was his ship. The sounds of gunfire, the smell of the air on fire, the sight of destruction in every pebble of the earth, it was a nightmare like the one he'd been having for months since leaving Earth. It was the same dream every night--or at least, every night he could actually sleep. In his dreams Earth was a wasteland filled with the charred remains of only trees, a few benches, and the wispy shadows of people, yet every time he approached those shadows, only whispers greeted; they were the whispers of his friends, like Mordin Solus claiming continually someone else may have gotten it wrong, or Thane's last words from his death bed, or even Kaiden's lingering questions.
In his sleep everything that he kept from showing in his eyes in the presence of his crew came crushing down on him. Ashley's death all those years ago; it was his

Yet you are nervous about being married to the woman you love? I don't know about you but that seems a little messed up to me." Garrus said. Coiln couldn't stop his hands from shaking.
"I'm not nervous, I'm happy." Colin argued.
"You are not helping." Garrus smiled.
"Want to know something funny?" Colin asked trying to distract himself.
"Everything good that's happened to me has happened to me on the Normandy." Garrus thought about it for a moment.
"I think I can say the same thing. Alright let's get you ready, it's almost time to head down to the Cargo Hold."
"You look beautiful, Tali." Tali looked up to see Kal standing at the door.

"Good morning, Commander!" Kelly Chambers sang on queue with the opening elevator doors. Shepard set one unfortunately decaffeinated foot in front of another and approached her cautiously.
"Morning, Kelly," Shepard commented partially through a yawn. She had to wonder how Kelly did it, staying so perky and awake when she never appeared to sleep. Stimulants, maybe? Demonic pacts?
The younger officer beamed at her, red hair sliding partially out of place as she offered Shepard a steaming cup of coffee and a small pink envelope. "Happy Valentine's Day, Commander!"
Shepard inhaled her morning brew and set it down at her desk before prying open the envelope, absentmindedly glancing up the bridge. "Valentine's Day, Kelly?"
Kelly blinked, confused as to how answer. Surely this was not a new concept to Commander Shepard, modern bastion of humanity. Was it? "Valentine's Day is an ancien

MASS EFFECT 3 ALTERNATE ENDING *SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY*
**EDIT** Holy crap this got way more attention than I was expecting. The comments and support have been amazing everyone!
A few points: Credit where credit is due; this ending, as much as everyone seems to love it, was only created because the amazing team at Bioware created a universe that was so rich and full of life and detail. As much as I know a lot of fans are hurt by what they did, we need to remember that Bioware still created an incredible trilogy, one of the best ever. So hats off to them all round.
Also, this was written really fast and so the ending (specifically the last part on how you actually win using TIM's signal) isn't very fleshed out. I know there are holes, and they can actually be fixed quite easily. This isn't perfect. Also, this doesn't deal with a 'happy' ending. If there were to be one, or you were to even CONSIDER taking the fourth option, you'd need to be damn ready. I'm talking ALL war assets e

Shepard leaned back, looking up from her book to gaze at the stars which twinkled through the big windows before which she sat. The ship, her ship, was at rest. Normandy slumbered peacefully, humming gently to itself. Joker was at the party, as were the rest of her crew. There was a lot to celebrate.
