I have recently gotten quite a few people interested in Commissions so i figured i would give my information on here too.

I do animals and can do anthro art too. I charge 30$ for large animals (wolves, dragons, anthro animals) and 20$ for smaller (cats, weasels, ect.). NaNoWriMo!NaNoWriMo is just upon us! The month of November, or just two days away, is the National Novel Writing Month.NaNoWriMo!7 months ago in Personal More Like This
The point of NaNoWriMo is to create a 50,000 word novel in a month. Every night, as a schedule, you write about 1,700 words to 2,000, on a regular schedule and by the end of the month you have your 50,000 word novel. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work, but NaNoWriMo is something that can let you grow as an author and write into new ways that you never would have guessed.
Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality. The deadline approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.
On the website they have a lot of resources, such as pep talks, cartoons, published NaNoWriMo novels, and forums to talk to other people. The entire website is about getting you as a write all the help you need or want to make it through the month and write your novel.

Having an assistant is pretty awesome.I want to thank everyone that offered advice on hiring an assistant in my last journal http://dragonsandbeasties.deviantart.com/#/d5iitev It really helped me figure out what I needed to do. And now, after a couple trial days of working together this past week, I've decided to hire Dezi :iconxlightangelwolfx: as my assistant. She doesn't have much on her DA page yet, but I am encouraging her to build up her online portfolio. She already enjoys sculpting and has made some really cute little dudes while she's been here in the studio. She's been a huge help this week with getting caught up on emails. She's a rockstar so far and a lot of fun to work with!Having an assistant is pretty awesome.7 months ago in Personal More Like This![]()
Now, I don't want anyone to think this makes my emails and messages less personal. I get asked a lot of the same things over and over, so they're easily answered, but just take time. More complicated ones Dezi reads to me, and I tell her what to type in response, so she is basically just taking dictation. It's a huge relief knowing I'
That's a Lot of Cats***Edit***That's a Lot of Cats11 months ago in Personal More Like This
Okay, so i have finished 20 cats so far with four more ready to color, but i noticed that there is no number 25 on the list. Any ideas for a number 25? I'm sure there are a few cats on there.
I am doing each cat with a small window of background behind them; some fit the character really well (such as Feathertail and Stormfur's mountains) and some are just there t make the character look nice. Anyway, i started the 100 warriors project last week and have been working almost non stop on my free time while making time for study and other important things. Perhaps I can print and sell my fan art as badges. Almost a 4th of the way done ^^
***Edit***
Okay well, I always steal stuff from ~Cape-Cat's journal lol. So as to possibly break my art block i will attempt this and actually keep track this time (done a challenge before and just figured i finished because there are at least 100 warrior arts to my name lol)
I recently had to get a new computer so i lost a lot of stuff...

She worried desperately for his lungs, but knew he would refuse to put the cannula back on, so she simply went along behind him for twenty minutes or so until he suddenly veered off the road and made his way towards a small stone church. His strides were swift and as long as his legs, and soon he was walking among the moss-covered gravestones and monuments that littered the grounds. His eyes listed over the various names upon the plaques until he at stopped suddenly at one.

Simon looked up from the bowl of cereal he was fixing himself and grinned. "Good morning, yourself. Just fixing some breakfast before we head to town—no other food here and I'm half starved."
"Good luck with that," said Holly, regarding the pile of bran flakes that sat inside the bowl. "There's no milk left."
"What?"
"There's no more milk. Ran out of it last night and I didn't have time to make it to the grocery store."
"But I already poured my cereal!" said Simon with distress.
"That's unfortunate," replied Holly. She then watched with perplexity as her temporary flat-mate set the bowl on the counter, walked over to his cot and collapsed into the sheets. "Simon, what are you doing?" she asked.
Simon threw an arm over his face, covering his eyes with the crook of his elbow. "All that trouble for nothing," he moaned. "What is this? What is my life?!"
"Simon."
"This is a cruel world." The young man rolled onto his stomach, dragging the covers with him until he

Benjamin Jastrow : Altruism or Self-Abnegation?An important point in the characterization of Paper Stars is that each character has one very important characteristic that defines them as a person and influences their day to day lives. Each of these traits are supposed to be both the character's greatest asset and their greatest flaw. They both build the character up and destroy their progress. And in this journal, I wannted to share with my readers an in-depth analysis of Benjamin Jastrow.Benjamin Jastrow : Altruism or Self-Abnegation?7 months ago in Personal More Like This
Easily the antithesis of Sara, Benjamin's defining characteristic is his altruism, and all of his other traits are influenced by it or are a result of it. His mild, gentle nature is centered around his carnal fear of causing others discomfort, which, in turn, becomes his own discomfort. His kindness is not limited to only those he cares for--it stretches to all those he meets, even when they are cruel to him, and he willingly shoulders the blame for any and all grievances around him. He is a human scapegoat, an alacritous martyr willing to give u

When school ended I thankfully accepted a ride home in Emil's new Plymouth, and while it made me feel terribly selfish, I just couldn't bring myself to wait around for Saul, because his first hour teacher had given him an after-school detention for that morning's tardy. Thankfully, my best friend was of the accepting, generally easygoing variety, and he didn't seem all too perturbed by my decision when I informed him at lunch.
"And I'll have you know that I wouldn't have waited for you either," he told me matter-of-factly.
"That's bosh, Saul," I told him. "In fact, you owe me at least one wait. Remember that day last year when I waited by the bleachers to walk with you to town? In fact, I waited fifteen goddamn minutes for you to finish snogging Pia Grünwald-"
"Hey, hey—she wanted a little kiss so I gave her one! Didn't want to hurt her feelings-"
"You really are a gentleman, Saul. Taking one for the team, were you?" said Erich,

"Why?" I asked him as I watched his crutch kick up dust into the warm night air.
"Why what?"
"Why do you get that look in your eye when you speak to Daniel? Has he offended you in some way?"
Saul bit his lip, but didn't respond.
"It isn't him, is it? It's Benjamin. You dislike him because of his brother. Why do you hate Benjamin? He has done nothing wrong!"
"Sara, don't you understand that he did this to you?" said Saul, his voice stretched. "I know he was a nice boy and that you loved him, but you've turned him into a saint in your min. You've canonized him, and you don't realize that if it weren't for him, none of this would have happened to you!"
"It is not his fault that he was persecuted for something so out of his control," I spat, sudden anger s

Okay, no, on a more serious note: I've just had to re-draw the last two days' worth of frames and in-betweens for Louis because I realized I'd been drawing him "wrong".
Throughout Louis's character progress he's undergone several changes, most based on my own personal decisions, but many were also due to feedback from you guys here on DA, and I realise now that the "Louis is too skinny I don't like it" comments got to me more than they should have.
What these people don't realize is that Louis is ridiculously tall and skinny on purpose: he's a cartoon. He's not meant to be realistic, he's meant to be an exaggeration of the flamboyant gay stereotype, the skinny French stereotype, and his design reflects his wiles and cunning when it comes to out-witting his opponents. How to Add Your Unpaid Writing or Art to a Resume>>How to Add Your Unpaid Writing or Art to a Resume4 months ago in Personal More Like This
Why Authors Kill Off CharactersI can actually answer this question, at least for myself. Coming from the perspective of a hopefully-soon-tobe-published author, I think killing off main characters is a sign of maturity as a writer. When authors coddle their characters and give them whatever they want, the end result is often spoiled, hard-to-relate-to characters who get happy endings handed to them on a silver platter. Take Twilight, for example. In all four 400-600 page novels, not one pivotal "good" character dies. And what are we left with? Little character development, no themes or lessons to be learned, and the acute feeling that the books were more like fairytales with all the characters skipping off into the sunset hand-in-hand. Admit it: you remember a book that made you cry more than a book that made you smile. Every classic novel that has withstood the test of time features some sort of death, agony, suffering or all of the above. Suffering builds character. And sometimes, killing a character is necessary fWhy Authors Kill Off Characters11 months ago in Personal More Like This

I let people know I am on my third novel. It is rare to meet a writer, rarely someone who has realised their dream, and who has produced a book. Rarer still to find a published author --- why? it seems so easy.....when you read them.

Warm Bodies ...Warm Bodies ...2 months ago in Personal More Like This
Watch it. Seriously.
I just got back from the cinemas, where I caught Warm Bodies with my bestie from LASALLE. I know what you're thinking, that the movie didn't look that great. Yet another zombie movie amongst the throngs of supernatural the media flings at us, yet another teenage romance to appeal to every young adult with a pulse. And I will be the first to admit that when I first heard the outline of the story - a cute young man who just happens to be undead falls in love with a young girl at first sight - I was skeptical. I assumed it would become a rehash of Twilight, and I just got over the nausea of seeing those posters cluttering all the billboards.
However, after trawling through the trailers and finding them appealing and funny, I decided that the movie was worth a shot. It advertises itself as a quirky, humorous take on zombies, throwing in a mix of teenage romance
