"Well, we've heard about Rarity, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie," Princess Luna said with an entertained smile as she skimmed over her notepad, "That just leaves Fluttershy and Applejack." She looked up across the table to the only stallion present with them. "Big Macintosh, would you be so kind to give your account so we can finish this delightful narrative?"
"Delightful for you, maybe," Dash muttered under her breath, earning her a silencing glare from Twilight.
Macintosh sunk lower in his seat in an effort to go unnoticed; he knew it was impossible to hide his massive frame from everyone, but he was willing to try.
"Macintosh, dear, there's no need to be shy," Rarity cooed, "Just tell us what occurred last night."
"Um well " He sucked in a deep breath and sat up straight. "I saw Fluttershy home an' carried AJ home an' put her to bed before goin' to bed myself an' that's about all that happened last nigh

During the night of the crescent moon, a single carriage left the gates of Canterlot, largest city and capital of the Kingdom of Equestria. Now, normally this would not be such a strange occurrence as many carriages seem to enter and exit the metropolis at will. However, this very carriage had something, or rather someponies, which were of great importance on that particular night. A while ago, the entire city was witness to one of the most important dates of the year; more important than perhaps Winter Wrap-Up or Hearth's Warming: the wedding of Captain Shining Armor and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, (or Cadance, as she liked to be called). However, it had also been a day of crisis as hordes of demonic changelings from the deepest part of Tartarus laid siege to Canterlot. Their queen, Chrysalis, had trapped Cadence under the Royal Palace and assumed her form, deceiving Shining Armor and the entire populace. With the stal

Octavia groaned as she lifted her head off her pillow. It was the night after the Gala, and Octavia had been playing her double bass all night, virtually without break. Virtually. There had been several interruptions of her performance; however, she could not remember what exactly happened yet. She could not remember why she could not remember, until she winced in pain as her head throbbed. It all started coming back to her.
The Gala had begun like it always had; posh ponies from all over Equestria flocked to socialise. Though, not all of them were quite as posh. As that night was drawing to a close, a pink earth pony had walked in and subsequently began to dance around like a lunatic, and jump onto stage where Octavia played. She did her best to continue playing as this annoying pony continued her misdemeanours throughout the crowd.
By now she could tell that this Gala was not going to

Twilight: (breathes in the air) "It's always great to come back to The Crystal Empire."
Spike: "Yeah. (hesitating) Why are we here again? What did Princess Cadance say?"
Twilight: "It wasn't clear. The letter was short. She needed us urgently back in the Crystal Empire for something. I guess we'll find out when we meet her."
Spike: "This won't involve me falling from a great height again, will it?"

Fluttershy's SecretSunday was only two days away. She'd been waiting already: three days, two hours and one minute. What would two more days do? No one would think anything of it if she stayed inside for two more days, would they? She'd never been the most social of the group anyway. It was rare for her to seek out their attention, save every Thursday at the spa with Rarity. She had to cancel this Thursday and the only reason she didn't break down under the scrutinizing gaze of her best friend was because she really had been feeling under the weather. It wasn't a lie. She could hide behind that excuse for two more days. Right?Fluttershy's Secret3 years ago in Romance More Like This
It was already mid-morning when a knock came to her door. Fluttershy got unsteadily to her hooves and tried to ignore the churning in her stomach as she walked the few feet from the couch to the door. Pulling it open just a crack, she saw Applejack on the other side wearing her beloved cowboy hat and a concerned expression. "Hey there, sugarcube. Rarity said you were feelin'

Big Macintosh bounced lightly on the tips of his hooves, his deep, gentle voice coming out in a singsong rhythm to the giggling accompaniment of his son Bud, who sat perched on the massive stallion's broad back fluttering his tiny apple green wings. "This the way the ladies trot, so do we, so do we..."
He shifted his tempo to a more strident hop, which in turn caused the little orange maned foal to escalate from giggling to cackling. "Here comes a country colt, hobbledy gee, hobbledy gee!" He finished the rhyme with an emphatic bounce on his hooves.
The huge red stallion stopped and looked over his shoulder, blinking in consternation as he suddenly realized that Bud was no longer sitting on his back. He cast his panicked gaze around the barnyard of Sweet Apple Acres, looking over to Fluttershy, who sat on a rocking chair on the porch with Bud's twin sister Blossom cradled in her forelegs contentedly drinking from a bottle. The butter colored pegasus gave he
Faithful Student: Chapter ThreeGetting Trixie out of the library had proven to be more difficult than Twilight had anticipated. Her inability to provide more adequate sleeping arrangements had kept Trixie on edge and the magician used this excuse to complain and continue to hide in the loft as long as possible. "Tell Trixie again why she must attend this ridiculous party?" the showmare asked as they walked. Agreeing to go hadn't meant she was going to be agreeable about the experience.
"Parties mean a lot to Pinkie Pie. It'll make her really upset if we don't go. She organized the whole thing just for you. The least we can do is show up," Twilight explained, getting frustrated with having to tell her this again. "We don't have to stay long."
Trixie sighed, appearing aloof and disinterested. In reality, she was getting more and more worried the closer they got to the sweets shoppe where she'd be

The rich velvet curtains by the doorway rustled imperceptibly, parting and falling closed as the princesses settled themselves on an elegant divan and motioned Twilight, Rarity, and their companions to make themselves comfortable on the richly brocaded cushions scattered about the opulent lounge suite reserved for the royal sisters and their guests.
Princess Celestia gave her prized student an encouraging smile and gave a bob of her tapering horn. "Now, Twilight, what is this matter that you and your friends would like to bring to our attention?"
At her side, Princess Luna sat with a look of guarded interest on her dusky face. "Yeah, lay it on us."
The scholarly unicorn mare smiled back, and her violet eyes began to gleam as her horn sparkled to life. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you..."
Cadance looks curiously at Shining Armor.
"Why do you keep your mane tied up?"
"Yeah. I've never seen you without your ribbons holding your mane together."
"I prefer having it this way. It's easier to manage. Plus, I've been teased about it growing up. And, over time, it made me uncomfortable having a long mane."
And that would've been it, if it were not for Shining Armor's sheer curiosity.
"C-Can I see it?"
"Can I see your mane?"
"No, really. I wanna see it. Unbound."
Cadance, although largely uncomfortable at doing so, complies with Shining Armor's request.
"Alright. But don't look. I need to get my ribbons undone and I don't want you to see my mane in a mess."
Shining Armor closes his eyes, only hearing the rustling of bundled hair in a tussle with stubborn knots of ribbon.
"Stupid... No peeking, Shining Armor."

Raindrops and Cloudchaser escorted the small, sodden cumulous overhead, the trailing runoff from the overloaded cloud splashing ponies on the ground as the two pegasus mares made a bee line for the circular burnt patch with its speckling of stubborn flames. The pale lavender weather worker took hold of the cloud and guided it in a figure eight pattern as her bright yellow partner hopped lightly on its crest, sending cascades of water to quench the remaining fires.
Soarin, Pip, and Spike touched down next to Twilight and the Apple sisters as the patrol pegasi went about their work. With a nod of satisfaction, the spotted earth pony stallion tugged a cord on the harness and caused the wings to refold themselves with a clack. "Well ladies, I think we can suffice it to say that the flight harness has performed admirably under duress."

When Dracula found that he was going to be a grandfather, he was overjoyed. Sure, his precious Mavis had grown up, married to a still unbitten Jonathan, but now another little one was coming into his life. And for once in a long time, everything was perfect. Except maybe that one tiny fact. His granddaughter is a human.

It all began with love.
After the dawn of time, alicorns and mortal ponies lived separate from one another. In the old age, the ponies of the earth below us started out as a very segregated race: greedy, unjust, hateful. The world as we knew it had turned evil and no longer reflected the land it was created to be. Sin was rampant everywhere and love was but a memory rarely spoken of. We alicorns, the immortal and wise race, were disgusted with what the world had become and made our domain in the heavens far above the sky. Granted, our race was not perfect either, but the land below us was shrouded in darkness and hate and we could not coexist with those beings.
The land grew colder, and snowier. The winter season one year did not stop. Spring did not come; instead, it continued to snow and freeze all around the ponies' domain. It was the windigoes, demon equine s
Why I am a BRONYWhy I am a BRONY3 years ago in Letters More Like This
This is a message to all brony/pony haters.
I'm noticing a lot of brony hate around, which is predictable. Every fandom that gets mega-popular will have the self-proclaimed 'rebels' who decide to hate the fandom AND the fan base based on a just few unsavory fans.
This narrative is a means of explaining a few things that many brony haters may have not realized, or overlooked. It is NOT a device to 'convert' those who don't like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It is NOT to put down pony haters, or people who dislike bronies. Not every person can like every fandom. We are all entitled to our own likes and dislikes, it's what makes us human. This is merely an explanation of why and how I became a brony, and why it's terribly ignorant to hate a fandom because of a portion of fans. But first of all...
I saw someone the other day proclaiming that bronies are going to 'ruin the show' for children in the future, when those children grow up and 'realize that thei

The elder unicorn sister gritted her teeth as the sudden interruption caused her hooves to slip, messing up the stitching on a piece of fabric. Closing her eyes, Rarity sighed, taking her foot off the pedal of the sewing machine and letting go of the fabric. She inhaled deeply, then turned to face Sweetie Belle, wearing her sewing glasses, a tape measure around her neck. "Sweetie, what have I told you about knocking before barging into my workspace?"
Sweetie Belle skidded to a halt, plopping into a seated position and looking at the ground. "Oh, Rarity, I'm sorry. I forgot..."

Today was another calm and relaxing day for Twilight who, sitting on a park bench, watched as Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie ran around in a game of tag. Applejack and Rarity stood at the edge of a pond, bickering over something to do with their manes. Finally Twilight looked to her right, seeing Fluttershy on the bench beside her, looking down to the ground and lightly crying.
"Fluttershy? What's the matter?" Twilight asked softly.
Fluttershy tried to look more cheery, wiping her tears away. "Oh, n-nothing is wrong."
Twilight looked into Fluttershy's sorrowful eyes. Something about herself was bothering her friend. Did she say something? Or do something? Maybe there was something wrong with her she hadn't seen before. Seeing the pond, an idea came to her, so she stood from the bench. Something felt wrong; her bones and entire body ached in pain. She felt as though she had been in a fight or put through intensive labor.

Twilight looked up from the book she was reading and smiled at Rainbow Dash welcomingly. "Sure, Rainbow Dash. What is it?"
Rainbow Dash looked at her saddlebag nervously. "Well, I have a letter I'd like to send somewhere, and, well, seeing as how I live in the clouds, I don't really have a fireplace I can send it through, so... Do you mind if I asked Spike to send it for me?"
"Why certainly, Rainbow Dash. Oh, Spike!"
The baby dragon ran down the stairs quickly. "Yes, Twilight? What can I do for you?" he asked, as eager to help as always.
"Rainbow Dash has a letter to send and has asked for your assistance."
"Wow, really? Mine?" Spike asked, eyes sparkling as he looked at Rainbow Dash.
"Yup," Rainbow Dash answered. "I don't have a fire of my own, so I thought I'd ask my favorite dragon for some help. I'm pretty sure I addressed it properly..."
"Well, just in case, can I ask who I'm sending it to?"
