My Little Muffin - Part 1 Soft, classical music echoed through the halls and rooms of the humble abode that night. It was a gentle tune, violins and bass bringing forth a powerful, yet emotional crescendo. For some reason, ponies liked playing Posh Ball's 'Canon in D Major' at weddings, possibly to reflect what they hoped the future would bring. Meanwhile, Derpy Hooves busied herself with fixing her dinner: she was not nearly conceited enough to play this sort of thing while reading. My Little Muffin - Part 14 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The amber-eyed pony hummed along with the tune as she chopped up some celery to put in her salad, looking out her window and into the night sky. Although it grew warmer in her house by the minute, she didn't dare open the windows or else succumb to the horrid stench that came when hundreds of ponies expelled the contents of their stomachs. Derpy shook her head at the thought, dumping the chopped vegetable into her salad.
It all started out innocently enough. The town

My hooves creaked on each plank as I descended the steps down into the cellar, where it's always cool and dark and earthy-musty and there's a faint trickle of an old stream running down out of Canterlot's mountains, tinkling endessly just off out there in the dark. It adds a certain dramatic urgency to my cellar. The dancing light of the candle I floated beside me caught drips and drops from the trickle, where it passed through my mesh filter and down into a water barrel. It was getting time to bring it upstairs, I thought to myself. It's the best and cleanest water in all of Equestria. I smiled and swung my lit taper around to the side where a number of barrels of clay were incubating alongside a disused old wood potter's wheel, awaiting another day I felt like taking a pass, on which I was enthusiastic but sloppy. I stepped carefully around these and floated the candle aloft, where row after row of dark brown gleaming bottles
My Little Muffin - Part 2 A rhythmic click echoed through the kitchen early the next morning, reminding him of just how empty his home felt before noon. Ever since the day of her return, Spike noticed something a little... off about his friend and caretaker. It almost seemed like she could no longer trust herself with any magic bigger than a simple levitation spell. Sure, she still went outside and laughed with her friends, but even then, they would be all she would associate with.My Little Muffin - Part 24 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The baby dragon sighed and pushed himself away from the table, mentally bracing to give it another try. His claws clicked lightly on the wooden floors as he walked up the stairs to the purple pony's bedroom. Eventually reaching the second floor of the library, he knocked loudly on the right-hand door at the top of the landing. "Twilight!" he shouted. "Wake up! It's almost ten in the morning and you got another letter from the princess!"
Pressing his ear to the door, he heard a moa

Luna stepped onto the podium and cast her huge cheerful green eyes across the assembled guests.
"Thank you all so much for coming!" she began. "I know the party's only just started, but I thought I'd like to get all the formalities out of the way first, if I may." She turned to the old silver-maned butler standing beside her and looked at him with mock exasperation. "Apparently it's compulsory that every royal engagement have a formal component to it!"
The butler nodded once, his serene expression unchanged.
Luna turned back and continued. "I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to formally thank the Elements of Harmony for their courageous efforts on my behalf. You all risked your lives to undo the great evil that my jealousy and selfishness had wrought and prevented a titanic disaster from befalling our beloved Equestria. So let

Spike let his hand slink down from the cold, metallic snooze button of his alarm clock as he sat up. He stretched his arms out wide, and let out a big dragon sized yawn. Well, for a dragon as big as Spike anyway. He was awake, fully alert, and ready for the morning chores. He turned his head, expecting to start on his first chore of the day; which was to wake up Twilight. But she was already awake. In fact she was sitting on the floor with a big yellow blanket wrapped around her, staring out the window towards Canterlot Castle.

Pinkie Pie sat in front of the toy shop, examining a firefly closely, it had been a little while since Twilight and the Doctor had run off.
"What's taking them so long?" she wondered to herself over the loud crashes, bangs and occasional unearthly wail from inside the shop. But she was quickly distracted as a second firefly joined the first.
"Ooooh." she whispered.
A small blue unicorn sat on a tree stump on the outskirts of the Everfree Forrest. A small wooden wagon sat nearby filled with a small amount of food, some flowers and a starry blue blanket. She noticed it was getting dark and, sobbing softly, she took the wagon handle in her mouth and ventured into the forest. The trees were thick, and even though it was only sunset it was almost pitch dark only a little ways into the forest. Strange sounds emanated from the thick grass as the cold wind blew the leaves along the ground. She'd been on the run for a while, but she'd never gone this far.

"Doctor, why did you stop?" asked Trixie, still sitting in front of the brown stallion waiting for the end of the story. "What were the things on the train, tell me!"
The Doctor was silent.
"Ssshhh!" He put a hoof to her lips. "Do you hear that?" The Doctor looked around the TARDIS. All Trixie could hear were the sounds of the console whirling and dinging as they normally did.
"Doctor, I don't hear anything..." Trixie whispered, pushing his hoof away. "What is it-"
"EXTERMINATE!" A cold robotic sound rang out from behind her.
The Doctor tossed her to the side and dived away as a beam of dark light arched across the air with a fizzing sound. "She got one inside!" he yelled. The Doctor bent his head down and hefted Trixie onto his back, turning at a full gallop into the TARDIS interior. She was jostled and bumped as she hung on for dear life.

Twilight Sparkle was never was much for relationships. She had her books to read after all. Only her brother Shining Armor meant anything to her. The Doctor stirred slightly as the forest awoke. Opening his eyes, he looked around until his sights fell upon a blue box, now standing upright next to a large gouge in a nearby tree.
"Terrific!" he yelled. "I knew the old girl could do it-" he cut himself short when he noticed Trixie's head lying against his stomach.
With great care he maneuvered himself out from under her, placing her head on the charred remains of his jacket. He walked over to the box, opened the doors wide and stepped inside. The TARDIS had repaired the damage sustained in the fall and was back in working order. He put his forelegs on the console, pulling various levers and knobs.

"This is an awesome party, Carrot!!" Called a mauve earth pony around her braces, over the loud music of the dance hall. Lights flashed on and off around them as lasers arched through the air. She wore a checkered handkerchief, and several glow rings around her neck and hooves, they jangled and shook as she danced.
"Yeah! I know, it's totally tubular!" replied Carrot, a yellow pony with a orange mane. "These are some pretty fly beats!"
The pair bopped and jammed along to the music, dancing and bumping into other ponies on the crowded dance floor as they went.

However, in a modest house near the centre of the sleepy little town, one pony defied convention, as she did every weekday morning. The blonde mare made her way down the stairs cautiously, the early morning sunlight nearly blinding her through her descent from her bedroom. She had just enough time to grab a quick bite to eat before heading off to work for the morning, and if she was anything, she was punctual.
Digging into the refrigerator, only her bubbly flank would be visible to any pony standing in the hall. She lived alone, so she made no effort to stifle the clanking of bowls, or the p

I spent a few weeks in mental hospital, I'd rather not divulge to you why. I was there for a fairly short time, only a few weeks. In the unit I was in, wandering isn't permitted, but that never stopped me. I used to talk to the other patients- or attempt to, after all this is was a mental hospital and many of the patients couldn't keep a conversation.
One day in my wanderings, I peered into a room. Tales of this patient circulate the hospital but most believe she is a myth invented by nurses to keep young teens from wandering into this side of the hospital. They call her "Patient 092"

Twilight looked around as she walked down the old roads of Ponyville. On occasion she missed the large cityscape of Canterlot . Though Ponyville was indeed nice, with it's own charm, she could not escape that feeling of homesickness, the hustle and bustle of the city, the millions of ponies of all shapes and sizes, the buildings stretching into the clouds. She missed it. And yet, she had never been out of the city before her trip here. Canterlot and Ponyville were the only homes she knew."Perhaps all I need is a change of scenery." She mumbled to herself. "Ponyville is beginning to feel a little small."
The purple unicorn was shaken from her thoughts by a large boom. Something blue hurtled from the sky, leaving a trail of smoke in it's wake. It collided with something in the distan

Walking around the downtown area was one of their favorite activities. It was old, but the architecture made the city feel very modern. Foodies seemed attracted to the area, Mike and Becky included. They could walk for miles, just the two of them, and even years later still loved every step. Every so often though...
"Mike! Stop!" cried Becky.
Mike had taken to trying to climb on some statues.
"Why not?" he thought. He would do this every so often. He was usually very timid, and scared of doing anything that might get him hurt or in trouble. Sometimes he could just cast all of that aside and do things neither he or his wife could explain.
He giggled the entire way up.

'Where to go?' he wondered. The decisions were endless. 'Left at the end of the hall? Under the table by the door? The closet on the other side?'
The table by the door was the easiest, the fastest. In seconds Ian had crouched down enough to easily slide underneath, his padded bottom poking out from the direction he came in.
"Thirty!" came a loud, matronly voice from down the hall and around the corner. "Where is my little Ian?"
Ian froze, trying to hold his breath, his inhales and exhales sounding like screams and roars. The voice came closer, its echo magnified by the enclosed hallway. Ian clenched his face tight.
Hatti rounded the corner, her long brunette hair bobbing up and down. She wore it high, in a ponytail. Her short green summer dress swayed in the light breeze coming from the open windows.

The Nuzlocke Run. I'd heard about it over Deviantart, and it seemed to be a fun new way of playing my old Pokemon games that I hadn't tried before. It was supposed to make the game more challenging and get the player more attached to their Pokemon I decided I had to do it for myself. Nostalgic, I dug out my old Gold version from the closet, (since I'd never even consider the notion of erasing my beloved Crystal version.) The old cartridge was cold in my hands, but I felt warm inside as I grabbed my old Gameboy Color and some fresh batteries.
I didn't bother to look at the previous game saved into the console for fear of heartbreak. I didn't know if I could delete my beloved Pokemon if I were to see them one last time Instead, I simply gritted my teeth and jabbed the delete button on my old game without a second glance.
I created a new character and named him Jeremy, after a story character I'd made up. T

#40) I'm having a hard time 'coming out' to my parents about being a brony and it's really getting me down. Do you have any advice for me?
Answer: You should definitely stop treating being a fan of the show as some sort of grand event, for a start. At the very least, take a step back and realise that liking the show isn't the big deal that you might think it is. Yes, "Friendship is Magic" is designed for young girls, and yes, people, including your parents, may think that it's unusual that you watch and enjoy the show and its fandom. The real question is, however: why should it be a big deal?
By building up this pressure upon yourself to tell your parents about your interest, you're merely reaffirming that liking the show is something to be ashamed of. It's only a TV show what parent would honestly make you feel bad about watching it? And, if your parents are strict about that kind of thing, then why not just keep it to yourself? Liking ponies is hardly equivalent
