As you all know, I wanted to send some of the comic-pages to the authors of Warrior-Cats. But before, I decided to just ask someone from the Beltz-publishing company who knew a lot about license-stuff/copyright/... and so on (this company publishes the Warriors-series in my country). And well, that guy said I couldn't publish this fancomic because Great Britain where the books are from is quite strict when it comes to copyright. On the official Warriors-page I read some of the FAQs in which the Erins said it would be okay to make fanfictions and so on. Well... a fancomic is a drawn fanfiction, right?? Besides I'm not going to make money with this, it's just a hobby and I'll keep this comic only on dA.
So here's what I need help with:
I wanted to make the comic as close to the original series as possible. For that I planned to keep at least the Clan-names (ThunderClan, RiverClan,... etc.)
But that guy from Beltz-company said I'm NOT allowed to use names from the original serie
