I really thought I wouldn't finish it in time >_<;; but happy birthday *OoAlixoO !!!
We're busy working hard on our sketchbook "Printemps", so I wasn't sure how to find more time to paint >__<;; Anyways here are Alix's OC Charm and Trent, since she asked them to me last month /o/ (for Christmas ok... I'm always sooo late)
Part of an illustration done for my next full color sketchbook "Printemps", with my OC named Diurne. I tried a mix of watercolor and photoshop >_o The result is not exactly what I hoped to get but I guess I just have to keep on trying /o/
Done on Arches watercolor paper with Schmincke/Sennelier watercolors and Photoshop CS5.
I really should submit more often but I was busy these last days so here is an old illustration I did back last June to sell at Japan Expo (I just realized I didn't submit all of them o_o; ) I had some difficulties to scan this illustration :/ I had to do a lot of adjustements to get something closer to the original painting. I still don't know if it's because of the paper or because of my scanner that got older (it will soon have 10 years ='D ... )
Anyways, the character is Sifrit, an old character from my old comic project "The King of Nowhere". This stupid story get a lot of changes regularly and I just realized that Sifrit older outfit wasn't fit anymore so here is a new design. He wasn't really supposed to have such pretty clothes but I don't care anymore.
"Pavot" is the french word for "poppy", and it's actually the flower that fit Sifrit the most for some reasons.
A color sketch for my next sketchbook "Du Printemps à l'Hiver" (From Spring to Winter).
~Solfatare and I did a first version of the sketchbook 4 years ago, but we encountered a lot of problems and only printed a small batch of books before we lost the pdf file of the book °v°;; Since it’s old and we lost a lot of the sketchs, we’re rebooting it in full color (except for the short novels and texts).
This "color sketch" was one of my first attempt to do something that wasn't too polished but still nice, I guess it's some sort of speedpainting on sketch? >_>;; It's difficult to know when to stop to color.
An illustration I'v been working on these last days, featuring my OC Liesbeth.
I wanted to do the same type of painting with Photoshop than this illustration but I forgot how difficult it was and how much I hated it (and I will probably forget it again in one year, someone please slap me) Anyways, the result is not that bad, maybe too stiff since I'm not used to paint on my lineart directly. I just slightly regret that the result is quite... girly
