This is Haya from an upcoming project I'm working on the like you will hear more about in the future. She is a character from the Jinnrise story being published by IDW. I've done two covers for them which i might post later. it's quite a huge change from the more routine projects I work on!

As you might know I couldn't go to this MECFF www.mefcc.com/ show as i had to teach some extra classes. But they already invited me again for next year! I didn't want there to be any sour feelings so i did them up this poster for free.

I imagine it will be there for you to see, so i figured I'd post it here!

A commission of Ibuki and Don. Yes I know the Ibuki purists will say that Don's red scarf should be on his tail, but it worked better in the shot.

Media: Prismacolour markers, Copic, Pigma Pen, and Pencil.

I've been working on Bandai Namco's Wonder Momo for almost 2 years now. many of these characters I have designed whereas all the SF stuff has been off of existing designs. For that reason I think it's safe to say I should have more of an attachment to this series.

There's a lot of momentum and support behind this project, so expect to see more of this from me in the next few years! I intend to do some more of these to introduce you newcomers to this series.

It's written by Jim Zub and Plotted by Erik Ko, so it has UDON plastered all over it.

Take a look, I'm having a lot of fun with it. That means if you like my work, you'll go check it out here (over 130 pages all completely free!) on the ShiftyLook site: www.shiftylook.com/comics/wond…

Process:
Drawn with pencil and micron on A3 Deleter paper
Coloured up on CS4

SO this was a piece for an SF book we released that got yanked out so that it could be put in a gallery instead. Why they couldn't do both I have no idea since now when that book comes around I've got nothing to sign lol.

Either way, the symbolism is where I started my career with the legends series and how the chronology works in the SF universe. "SF chronology" is a very very loose term BTW.

Juri is my favourite character storywise, with Ibuki as second. It would be kind of cool to do a Juri Legends story, but I would want to write it lol. I should do another "Ask Ibuki" strip or two i think.

Line art is on paper w/ microns 005 - 05
Colours are w/ CS4

It was done way back in June 2012 i think.

This is an example of some of the new commissions I am offering. This is a combination of marker and pencil crayon. I finalized the lines with ballpen.

No scan will ever be able to capture the warmth and glow of markers, sometimes photos can come close, but when you are holding the piece in your hands its a different experience. I will be making an announcement on my Facebook page as to commission prices and availability.

If you guys like this type of stuff, follow me on facebook where i will do most of my posting and announcements, I am hardly on dA anymore though it is also a great site.
