This is Haya from an upcoming project I'm working on the like you will hear more about in the future. She is a character from the Jinnrise story being published by IDW. I've done two covers for them which i might post later. it's quite a huge change from the more routine projects I work on!
As you might know I couldn't go to this MECFF www.mefcc.com/ show as i had to teach some extra classes. But they already invited me again for next year! I didn't want there to be any sour feelings so i did them up this poster for free.
I imagine it will be there for you to see, so i figured I'd post it here!
I've been working on Bandai Namco's Wonder Momo for almost 2 years now. many of these characters I have designed whereas all the SF stuff has been off of existing designs. For that reason I think it's safe to say I should have more of an attachment to this series.
There's a lot of momentum and support behind this project, so expect to see more of this from me in the next few years! I intend to do some more of these to introduce you newcomers to this series.
It's written by Jim Zub and Plotted by Erik Ko, so it has UDON plastered all over it.
Take a look, I'm having a lot of fun with it. That means if you like my work, you'll go check it out here (over 130 pages all completely free!) on the ShiftyLook site: www.shiftylook.com/comics/wond…
Process: Drawn with pencil and micron on A3 Deleter paper Coloured up on CS4
If you do already have the book feel free to rate the book as 4 or 5 stars on the site as this helps us out as well to make a case for a second book! With your support we can do it again!
As for this cover, it was the original cover. As we found a cel painted approach to be more eye catching, i suppose this one got left to the side a bit. Though the initial drawing is the same, you will see on the book it is cel shaded. hope you enjoy this one too, it was done early 2011.
I've always been more of a fan of her Killer Bee uniform. This one was done with copix and some micron markers. This one is available. I'll be starting on my commission list soon, so I'm just practicing!
Follow me on Facebook to get some more close ups and other stuff I don't put on dA!
I was thinking that as of late I haven't really done any SF stuff, so this is to remedy that. The work i get the most recognition for is Street Fighter related, and though I try to dabble in other game properties, anything Capcom just feels like home to me.
These were all the girls that showed up in the Legends comic, probably the least familiar face will be the girl avec glasses in the upper right corner, she was the one who befriended Elena, and is shown in the ending art in the SF3 series. I'm thinking its Naru, I might be wrong and don't want to dig up the script to find out.
This pic was to get the duck face out of my system! I seem to go through stages of drawing stuff.
