First of all: Seriously...
I never believed this would or could happen when I started a year ago ^^"""
Of course... I had hopes, but... Now? One million?! *facehoof with a smile*
This is something that was only possible because of you!
Ponies who are checking our page! Ponies who are checking our comics T__T
Your support and love for all of our ponies made this possible. That and nothing else.
It may be true that I would have been able to draw and draw and draw, but... Without support?
There are a lot of ponies who I would love to thank.
At the same time... I wouldn't be able to thank all ponies at once in this one journal.
^^""" Sweet Celestia... I've never written a journal like this before.
I don't know if there is something I should say. Something you deserve more
Easter Eggs in the latest artwork!Hello! I thought I'd share a little of the story behind the latest artwork.Easter Eggs in the latest artwork!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
It's chock-full of details, but I did not release it for download or large viewing [due to nasty thieve-y folks who can't keep their hands to themselves]
This artwork says "It's good to have a friend". The story behind this little phrase is this: While I waited for the doors to open at the new years celebration we attended, this little girl was running around, she ran into me-- I gave her a smile and let her play with the little trinkets I carry around-- and after a while she gave it back, left with a friend of hers; and I asked 'is that your friend?' and she said "Yeah! It's good to have a friend, I can be yours too if you want!" and I just thought it was kind of sweet.
This little number might look familiar to some. If I wa
A New Year ReflectionBefore I begin with this journal, I would like to ask you, my fellow deviants, friends and watchers....Do you drink coffee?A New Year Reflection3 months ago in Personal More Like This
Tell me, how did it taste like when your took a sip of that black liquid for the first time? Was it bitter? Was it sweet? Was it something strange and out of the ordinary? Did it leave a bad taste in your mouth?
To me, it was very bitter and I didn't like the taste at all. But as I grew up, that bitter drink became a part of my life; from an occasional drink to become a regular beverage of the day. I guess, if you think of it, that's how life is to many of us. When something bitter happened, it left us with a bad taste, but then as we grow up, that bitterness became a part of our life even to the point where we are accustomed to it. Regardless whether that bitterness was a fear of something, a loss, life's issues, or simply crisis, they always say "Problems are there to make you better, not bitter".
But that's just something to think about. It came into my
Alumni TalkSo I went to this animation alumni talk thing today for my school. I left feeling inspired and horrified.Alumni Talk1 month ago in Personal More Like This
There were plenty great success stories that got me pumped and made me want to work harder and just animate all day. There were also a lot of failure stories which made me worried about what kind of future I might have. All these alumni were no doubt very talented, but even so, for a lot of them, finding a job was very difficult just because the animation industry is beyond competitive and your skills have to be exactly what your director wants. If they don't like your style, you won't get hired there. Of course each studio is different and it depends on what kind of TV show, or commercial, movie you work on. It was awesome being able to talk to these people and hearing about their journeys. I got to hear about some people working for FOX on Bob's Burgers, people working at ADHD (who did this video which I love), and pe
