Lonely HeartsLonely hearts beat in a symphony
and blood shot eyes are astray.
gazes passing, never lingering,
and faces turn away.
Judging eyes, they're everywhere
As a forbidden love festers.
Scornful looks find every flaw,
But, to this love, they remain unaware.
Their bliss is born of others ignorance
and their joy is in their remarks,
for they know, secretly, what they have,
they can feel it in their lonely hearts.
I'm SorrySometimes I wishI'm Sorry2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I were never born...
I've caused you...
so much pain...
and I regret the day life was breathed into me.
I'm sorry for stepping foot on this planet
For growing from a fetus
to a child.
Sometimes I wonder
"Why didn't you get rid of me?"
You could've had a son
who would have brought
to the family.
Who would carry the family name...
I could have been a better daughter...
but, alas, I don't know how.
The dark is where I'm safest,
where I won't hurt anyone...
I'm not the daughter you wanted...
I understand this now.
The look in your eyes
when you see me...
it says it all.
I'm sorry for being who I want to be...
I'm sorry for being an artist,
I'm sorry for being a rebel,
for walking against the crowd,
for having a true love,
for letting myself get shattered.
I'm sorry for the pain,
I'm sorry for the yelling,
I'm sorry for being a burden,
now if you'll excuse me...
I'll quietly d
Apologize (Sad Batterie)Zacharie stood on the edge of the plastic lake and stared down at the thick, churning liquid. He had put his pack down to relax a little, but he found it hard to get him out of his head. He hadn't been around in a while, and he was starting to worry about him. Not so much from a business perspective, but something more...personal. More intimate. He felt tears well in his eyes as he considered the worst, and his vision went blurry. It wasn't even the fact that Batter wasn't showing up recently that worried him. It was the fact he wasn't there now. They had promised to be there at that precise time in that exact location, and he wasn't there.Apologize (Sad Batterie)7 months ago in General Fiction More Like This
Fashionably late, I guess... Zacharie thought to himself in an attempt to make himself a bit less worried. It didn't help much. He held tight to the bat he had been carrying in his hands. He meant to give it to Batter today as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It was also somewhat of an expression of his infatuation with the baseball pl

Anesia stared up at the building with narrowed eyes to keep out the sun. Julissa was right beside her to the left, Sarah on her right. Alexa was in front of her tugging her hand. Ashley dragged up behind them, her heels scraping the dirt as she did so.
"What's so special about this place..?" Anesia asked innocently in a lisp as she leaned forward and put her chin on Alexa's shoulder. She turned her head and looked at her.
"There's creepy stuff in there." Was all she said before she pulled away from Anesia and went to the front door.
Julissa looked over at Anesia as she blindly fiddled with her iPod. She shrugged and went back to listening to Pierce the Veil, everyone could hear it blaring through her earphones. Ashley groaned loudly from behind everybody.
"Do we have to?" She complained. "This doesn't seem like a smart idea."
"And what exactly are you going to do with the rest of the summer?" Alexa said as she spun on her heels and looked at Ashley.
"Well I would be dra

"Guys? Are you alright?" Sarah's voice asked with a worried tone.
"Yeah." Everyone said in unison.
"Hold on guys, I have the light on my iPod " Julissa said as she unlocked her iPod and shone the light around. Everyone was where they were when the lights went out, everyone but Ashley. She had moved across the room and was looking up the staircase.
"Ashley?" Alexa asked as she looked at her. Ashley continued to stare upstairs.
"I saw something go up there." She said. "I saw it just as the lights flickered."
"It could have been the lights playing with your vision " Sarah commented, trying hard to think of what it might have been.
"No. I saw it. I watched it run upstairs." Ashley insisted.
"If it was running we would've heard it." Anesia mumbled as she pushed her sunglasses up on her head to pull back her newly straightened hair.
"No. The crash blocked out the noise." Ashley said as she began going up the stairs, pulling out her cell phone and using it as a flashlight as she wen
