The picture itself was okay... until I got into the BG. It's just not as cool as the people in the picture. I wanted the tilted angle to look unique but all it does it make everything look... tilted. The worm's eye view thing I had planned sort of went out the window with the cityscape that I blocked with the curtains (part because it made Zero look fat and with all his effort to stay beautiful we can't have that). If you understood that fudged up sentence, congratulations, you are an English pro.
I impulsively decided to record myself making this picture. Dunno when the next time I'll draw will be, and it sounded like fun until I learned that capture programs are ICKY. Virtual Dub was viciously laggy and CamStudio refused to show the cursor, which was quite an issue when handling line art. But the videos are here:
(if you saw this twice, it's because I just added Part 2)
I did not record me doing the awful BG; I had no idea what I was doing for most of it. When I decided to make it in a house, I popped open Blender, and most of the work there was re-learning how to do 3D, deleting things, angling things... watching 3D work is kinda eh to me. At least when the person doing it keeps making mistakes. I did do the curtains in 3D and edited the stupid table because Blender is stupid but I didn't record it because my computer was lagging enough just painting it; adding a camera would've sucked.
TECHNICAL JUMBO ASIDE.
The club (redundancy~) was having a little pet project where you draw gorgeous DDR men with pets. Leaped at the chance to draw Zero. Of course, he does like fish, and fish probably would've been really cute and now I'm really thinking about drawing it anyway *deep breath* but there was something lovely about Zero stroking a bird with the same care he gives his hair lolz.
I wanted to name it something pretty (even though it was inspired by Ruby... that Ruby) and while looking through Japanese names, I saw that one, and remembered I had a Neopet named Miiako (a Pteri of all things) and it seemed lovely (if the Internet isn't lying to me, it means "beautiful night child"). Even if the name doesn't fit... it still reminds me of my virtual bird.
My Black and White team. I'm only going to have 3 pokemon for the main story, but I'll probably add on post game.
I loved doing the lighting for this one. I'm still mulling over the names of these three. I'm not evolving Hatooboo, the pigeon pokemon. I thought it would be a unique challenge, and I don't much care for the wonky partridge pokemon that it evolves into.
Scallop the Daikenki (yes, i like the 3rd evolution better, get over it) Terracotta the Doryuuzu Olive the Hatooboo
And somehow in my sketchbook, it evolved into a craaaaazy challenge.
Well, I wanted to make something cool. All I really identify with Gus is music and being the epitome of coolness. And individuality. But it was the first two that spawned this picture. I wanted some like "present for you" pose to make all the fangirls "kyaaah" or something. Don't quite remember where the idea of surfing on records came from.
In comparison to other Guses, X Gus has been drawn a lot but it fit the best with this pose. Effing love flowy clothes; like capes. x3
The notes were originally gonna be on the lines like a song but the whole BG needed more. They were also going to be green but all the green was giving me a headache but that's part because I'm sick and I played with the color until purple was like BLAM and I was like "keep."
Well, without like homework and flip it took like a day. But with homework, it was obviously longer than that. and I just lost track of time. xP But in the end, this was really fun. Actually kinda like the result... despite slacking on the tie.
Well I never imagined a curveball of this magnitude, It was already suprising enough with the first mega evolution but now that they announced the second one.. I honestly almost fell out of my chair! I am so excited for the new pokemon game!!! I will still be getting y but the fact that charizard got two evolutions is a major win for me, and its finally a dragon! Anyways im sure these pokemon will be some of the best ones in the game, but then again that is my opinion. I present to you the Mighty Charizard X and Charizard Y! Badassery level 10 achieved!.
The two pokemon were nearly at the finish line. Elijah noticed he was still ahead. (Even though he didn't know Saxon totally gave him the victory) Racing forward to the finish line Elijah did a little front flip under the water as he crossed it. Immediately he turned to Saxon shouting in enthusiasm. "Did you see me Saxon?! That was so cool! I went Neahh and you were all like vroom," Elijah explained with his hands motioning and continuing to sound airplane and car noises out. "Anyways, I learned that SWEET trick from a buizel! Did you see me Saxon? You were awesome too!" The little Cubone asked excitedly.
He watched as Elijah zipped and towards the finish line doing a front flip the adorable show off. When Saxon finally reached him, he waded there in the water, chuckling. "You were amazing Elijah!" he said, picking up the cubone and holding him up high saying, "Victory is yours! I've been out bested man! You were real fast, you were all like neeeyeeaahhhh~" he circled round with Elijah still held up high, making him soar like a plane in response to the little cubone's earlier comment.
just a small excerpt from a note RP i did with i thought it was pretty adorable. and also gave me an excuse for Saxon to (guilty as charge) pick up one of the younger / shorter students at the academy hahah! xD
