Opening the Darkest Door
I have recently come across a most disturbing phenomenon in my studies of the Diabolic Infestation of the Soul. It seems there is a most frightening psychological conundrum when considering the concept of demonic possession even the most remote possibility of reality upon our earthly plane is the notion that just believing it may be true could very likely be the spark needed for the Demon to discover, seek out, and ultimately inhabit its next vessel of evil: You.
From the Exorcist through Paranormal Activity, generation after generation of “believers” seem to have come to the reali

Right brain warriors in the new age will be the coveted candidates ordained to lead and guide us; lifting the torch to light the way forward into a brave new beautiful world.
Artists have always feared that they are unappreciated and that the march of progress comes only from business, science and their machines. 1984 was imagined by an artist projecting these exact fears. Our guest essayist suggests the computer will never be our master, but only the super high speed counting machine it was meant to be leaving humans with only one pure task— being creative.

We got to interview a visionary futurist with an eye on technology about what would inspire today's comic book writers to create our next superheroes with knowledge of real technological and scientific advancement.
You never know when it’s going to happen – that otherwise quotidian moment when you suddenly realize your entire thought process has just been tripped up and cast down a cerebral rabbit-hole destination unknown. Little did I know that what began as a typically pleasurable lunch wit

How to properly install your second Wacom tablet.Installing your first Wacom tablet is a very easy straightforward process. Pop in the disc, run the installation, plug in the tablet, restart the PC, and you're done. Any complications beyond that...well...maybe you shouldn't worship Satan so much, huh?How to properly install your second Wacom tablet.4 years ago in Art Features More Like This
However, installing a Wacom tablet on a PC that already had one previously installed is usually more infuriating. There are a couple undocumented steps you may need.
- - Uninstall the existing drivers first.
This is a killer for people who are jumping between different tablet models. Myself, I spent 90 minutes tonight swapping around discs, downloaded drivers, options, and menus. Having moved from a Graphire to an Intuos, I was getting compatibility issues like crazy, but the only error message I could squeeze out of the PC was:
"There was an error with your tablet software. Please restart your PC. If the problem persists, reins

UpdatesAlright so school's been picking up, making things very busy for me, so I haven't been able to be very active on here. I apologize for that. I'll try to upload something in the next few weeks, but I can't promise anything. Also, my prices for point commissions are offically finished now, so if anyone's interested, you should take a look at that. I've also officially made icons and pixel art available! As for adoptables, I will hopefully get those up soon as well. I thank you all for your patience c: I check my messages often, so I will reply to those fairly quickly.Updates1 month ago in Personal More Like This

Robert shot an action-packed short film called Two Scoops, starring twins Lola and Lucia who operate an ice cream truck by day and happen to also be monster-slayers. Fans contributed to the project by submitting films, Tweeting their ideas for super-weapons, creating the fiercest monsters, and sending in their photos to appear on Missing Person posters.
We're excited to announce that the collaboration is now complete! You can see the finished film right here, along with the best contributions from fans, and documentary footage to tell the story of the project.

There is no cosmic law that states artists must suffer many long years and demeaning day-jobs before a window of opportunity cracks open just enough to hop on through.
Fellow deviant Brian Kesinger is a case in point.
His first “day-job” in 1996—he was hired straight out of his senior year of high school—was drawing Tarzan for Disney.
Brian stayed at Disney and he considers every day there a part of his ongoing education as an artist. He most recent

No matter the brave, fierce constructs we build and serve that would have us believe we are each one of us all alone as we make this journey, we make our way toward the end of all things side-by-side in our community of the living each day defying death. Our paths may be wildly divergent—the way of the hungry and impoverished traveling the same timeline with the grotesquely indulgent, the very best of us side-by-side with the most evil of us; but all hea

Living Rainbow Taking Flight
The vibrant digital paintings of alicexz are fiery, emotional, and incredibly memorable.
The colors of her creations (mostly portraits of popular TV and Film characters) are unusually vibrant, which is remarkable considering how layered they appear to be. It’s sort of like what manga characters might look like if painted by one of the Dutch Masters. And this artist exhibits just the right amount of quirkiness to leave us wanting to know more: she has a penchant for painting redheads. But, then of course, there’s a lot of red and golden fire burning through most her artworks.
My deviantART Story It was during the summer before 7th grade started where I first discovered this site. At the time I was completely and utterly OBSESSED with The Legend of Spyro series... so the first thing I did was search "spyro" in the search bar to look at all the fan art. I then stumbled upon Fourth-Star's old Spyro comic that I thought was the best thing I had EVER SEEN EVER. After reading through the comic, I then decided to look through her gallery since I noticed how popular she was. She became my #1 artistic idol, and I wanted to be just like her so I could become as good as her. I then tried developing my own Spyro fan comics (which I later gave up on lol) and making my own serious dragon OCs. For a while, my dragons WERE based in the Spyro universe, but then after a while I realized, along with many other deviants, how unoriginal that was and removed my characters from Spyro entirely. But through Fourth-Star, I discovered many other deviants and loved their art too! SeeingMy deviantART Story3 months ago in Personal More Like This
Best Served ChilledEver since the elections, I've been feeling really mellow towards politics and religion.Best Served Chilled2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've identified as a centrist. Agreeing with some parts of both democrats and republicans. And even the most stubborn conservative or the wussiest liberal will upset me very little. I feel I've reached a stage of common sense.
As for religion, I'm still an atheist. But I can now easily coexist with people of other faiths. I suggest they do the same. I no longer see religion as a senseless excuse for people to kill each other, but now a more optimistic view of them is just a fun way to make the world seem exciting. Like watching Supernatural, or reading The Odyssey.
Coexist. Live and let live. Don't waste your time on differences and instead find common ground. We all exist in the same universe whatever the means, so we might as well make the best of everything and everyone we're given.
